@Sh4dow Have a look at the post http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=42248&st=10 I have successfully been using this little utility to do the search, replacing and making changes in the new file to edit boot.ini. The utility was provided by dman. Give it a try if it suits you!

@Xpero Too true! Downloaded Xpize uAE1.1 and have successfully patched the i386 folder. Now it is a new run with Ryan's 1.2.1 pack + xpize 3.1 + nlite 0.99.9 = Better windows !

I don't think specific drivers for nvidia chipset for longhorn are available. The inbuilt drivers are used. Perhaps the revamped graphics engine in Longhorn needs different drivers than those for Windows XP. So may be everyone has to wait for a while!

I always search first. But then if I don't get it on MSFN I move over to google it. Digging in deep helps to find something else too!

I had also faced the same problem and after more than installations found the trouble. In my case the unattend.mst had the paths of invalid directories. I had made the unattend.mst to direct to the usershell folders, the location of these folders was changed, different from the default. The application data folder and data folders to be precise pointed to some other location rather than the %userprofile% in the documents and settings folders. This led the installation of office to complete without unattended.mst but when mst was included the fault recurred. I simply reset the location of data folders and all worked well. I hope it helps you!!

system32 directory (your directory may be different because my mixer installation goes into system32 directory). And the crossreference of files and registry works together. If both are there the settings can be included in uacd. I am off to try this setting too!! (Takes me to plus 30 installations to hack the creative mixer!!!)

@indianarchie Selling tomatoes on ebay is OK. But for the time being it is sowing time for tomatoes here.

@SPKR0000.SDF file is not available on my PC. The directory structure in %userprofile% path for creative is there. But no file. {00000002-00000000-00000001-00001102-00000004-20021102}.CDF or other *.cdf file is an active file and perhaps not linked to it. Still trying!

The promise of 30 minutes lasted almost 10hours and I copied and installed xp twice but still all settings are not taken. Primarily I attribute it to ReadReg application completing task after final installation. You all must have seen this small box popping up at final reboot. What I think is at this particular time many settings are rewritten and this accounts for not settings not showing up in the mixer. Registering the same registry file even leads to resetting the mixer settings at the default level. I am still hunting, @k0pect8 I am ready to implement your points.

Thanks k0pect8 I have tried your method and reduced the registry size to 41kb. I am on for testing and reinstallation to see the results. Maybe I will post in another 30min.
