Just a reminder! This thread is about security programmes targeting Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit). Reporting testing results targeting other operation systems should be done in the corresponding threads. Otherwise, this would only lead to misunderstandings and confusion here in this thread. Nevertheless, I do state the full system requirements for every programme I write an article about here. However, that does not mean that experiences with other operating systems should be posted here in this thread. Only what relates to Windows XP is relevant here. Therefore, I welcome any experiences related to security programmes under the operating system we are exclusively talking about in this thread. Cheers, AstroSkipper

I am neither, and I understood your earlier insinuation perfectly: In your opinion, I shouldn’t be posting here at all because I am not currently running Windows Vista. For your further information, I never ran Vista x64. The broken-down Vista hardware that I used for 12 years was an x86 system. I’m thinking about refurbishing it after hearing the good news about Supermium - something I would never do merely to gain the approval of hostile accounts here at MSFN. I certainly do not blame Win32 for spending very little time at this forum! As we know, Supermium won’t make much of a splash here unless it supports Windows XP, has a portable version, an “ungoogled” version, etc. Meanwhile, people running “vanilla” Vista x86 as well as x64 are reporting success with Supermium at other forums. Well, then it's not portable. Ungoogled is fully portable by using only the two flags, everything is saved, and no need to complicate life with any third party tools.

After the recent changes to the search engines in the last versions of Mypal, @feodor2 seems not to have removed some obsolete entries regarding Bing, Wikipedia and stp (Startpage) from his code which lead to errors in the Browser Console. Yeah, installing optional components isn't supported with default minwin profile. Replace Tools\x64\WIMHost.exe If you add a ! at line begin it should keep all version.

I use Mypal 68 regularly and have not noticed any unusual behaviour so far. If you want to be on the safe side, use a network sniffer to identify and analyse all incoming and outgoing connections of a browser. And it doesn't matter whether it is Mypal 68 or this Chrome 115 which is actually the topic here. However, this strange behaviour was already observed when using certain versions of Chrome browsers. Any problems observed in terms of Mypal 68 should be then posted in a corresponding thread, of course.

Unfortunately, no. When I move the allegedly portable folder with Supermium to another PC, it resets everything, don't forget to add the problem with its files it needs in the system folder.

I don't think it is a good idea to use patch + proxy and nginx method together on the same system. These methods weren't meant to work in coexistence. Some of the listed methods can coexist but unfortunately not all of them. You will probably have to choose one of these two methods.

Check your network and firewall settings! Maybe, an intervention of other security programs on your system? Or it might be a temporary server connection failure. Hello @CIACIACIACIACIACIA! Have you been able to solve your server connection problems in the meantime?
