  1. Thanks for sharing that story, Tony! We still miss him daily around here as well. Hopefully he's in a better place and still suffering from the desire to know more!

  2. If you ever say "Oh God or my God" around Rudy he always had a sense of humor and respond "YES". Always made me smile when pulls that line. Im his step son Tony and there is not a day goes by I dont think about him in someway or thought. Im 51 and I knew Rudy since a child at around 7 or 8. Rudy's grave is in Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale NY. Thank you for your kind words and your concern about my dad I never realized he had many friends in this community, and now I understand who he might have been on the phone with when I catch him on the phone speaking throughout the years or hear the telephone ringing. Must have been one of you guys here.

  3. Guys, my try to port it failed (in theory, resolved dependiences, but browser still not worked). But on @win32 modified DWrite.dll from W10 1809 and these api-ms files, build 5535 of Chromium and Opera 97 Dev based on 5532 works fine. Thank you so much! I will try newer builds

  4. WiseVector StopX has stopped updating (streaming and program updates) and seems to be abandoned as a personal version (for free). Here is the link to a post from WiseVector in the thread "WiseVector Free AI Driven Security" on MalwareTips: https://malwaretips.com/threads/wisevector-free-ai-driven-security.87965/post-1024875 I think that's it for WiseVector StopX. Anyway! A bit hope is still there, and we all know hope dies last.

  5. Psst, he doesn't have BSOD. He says he's having a blue screen with Windows cursor after logging in. If it was BSOD, he wouldn't be able to do Ctrl+Alt+Delete in the 1st place, and there wouldn't be a Windows cursor shown.

  6. True, but if he’s running build 6002, then the KB you mention is not installed. (Actually .NET 4.8 can be installed with some difficulty, but it does not work!)

  7. Latest .NET that can be installed on Vista is 4.6.2 if the SHA-2 update KB4474419 is installed.

  8. Simple, for both samsung and "new", if PAE patcher is set with 4GB flag, then it does not work. I use win7 stornvme on ISO as generic boot since it works in all situations. Once booted, XP32 with PAE 4GB visible and working with stornvme. Change driver to samsung or "new", and nvme driver fail code 10. Change ntoskrnl to a bigger PAE patch (I use 64GB as max possible) then it works. So somewhere >4GB it starts working. On XP64 the samsung driver also code 10 when nvidia 368.81 installed, but not when 355.98. The 'new' driver does not have this problem so its better for me. I do not remember XP32 having this problem with 368.81 or 355.98. GT710 for test.

  9. https://www.skyrc.com/Charger/t1000 for this page to load on xp sp3 in 360Chrome ( v13.5.1030 and v13.5.2022 ) : you will need to install this extension "change all UI fonts 1.4.2" https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/57736/ ( also available in the store ) set a local font name like Consolas , save , and the page will load. ( i use Arial Black ) after the initial failed first load of the page , 360Chrome will change to IE mode. so change that to webkit and reload the page. not every font name will work with the page however. tested on all "clean" v13.5 versions with ONLY the above extension installed. don't ask me why ...

  10. There are two main ways to obtain it that I am aware of. If you are talking about "just getting the OS" meaning it is installed onto a PC, then the license cost is less than $200 plus whatever the price of the computer you get it on. You do not get recovery media in this way and you also do not get the product key. The way to get the installation media is a bit different. Microsoft does not sell one-off media + COA for IOT Enterprise SKUs. You have to buy the "kit" from an Embedded Partner. The kit is the DVD9 Master and support documentation and I'm thinking that comes to somewhere in four figure territory. The product keys are a separate cost and come in minimum quantities in the tens of thousands.

  12. Didn't you say it was a content security policy (CSP) issue? What now? Anyway! There are different situations I have to disable CSP. Ok! It's just best to check things out for yourself. It is definitely no Content Security Policy (CSP) issue. The website https://www.skyrc.com/Charger/t1000 works with CSP enabled in Serpent 55, too.

  15. Yes, WiseVector StopX require SSE2 (tested on a computer with a Duron 1,6 Ghz last year). Regards I think whether WiseVector StopX requires SSE2 or not is no longer important. It has been abandoned by the developers. Their interests now seem to be focused on an enterprise version to make money.

  23. Depends on what we are calling a "corporate environment". Our "production" computers almost all exclusively run XP. I'm talking robotics, vision systems, et cetera.

  24. Why use Win8/10/11? I cannot understand this. Capitalism is their goal. On every new M$ OS, more backward compatibilty is missing. They implement newer DirextX for every new OS, so that gamers need to switch their OS to newer ones if they want to play modern games. High OS -> more CPU power is needed, thats an insane policy against sustainably living, hundreds of (modern) "old" computers got thrown into city trash area every day. Programmers could do everything, but they don't want to, money interests are far more important than humanity. The same thing exist in the game developer industry. Userfriendly programmers would never remove compatibility. Hope to see a XP revival (driver support for all new GPUs, DX12 support, possibilty to install modern browser) or a massive switch-over-to-linux. It is time to stop the insanity, it's already urgent since 20 years...
