  2. A happy and enjoyable life...constantly moving for others before all... resting sometimes... being open, learning, always with a smile for others...the recipe for a good life is in the Bible...read this article I've found: What Is The Good Life & How To Attain It: https://positivepsychology.com/good-life/

  3. How would you define "good life"? Jeez, I don't know what to say. Some heavy burden...probably nothing I would've said would be new or helpful for that matter. Understandable. In the end, they're just words, not miracles. If we could transfer our bubbles far away...I don't know. Hey, anyone else knows Globus? Eh, we can do real-life conversations without concept of "likes". Not like that anyway. Maybe ease up on react buttons (everyone, I mean). It's feeling kinda forced in recent times. I have backup of OS partition for a change, heck even 2 backups, but unsure if it works there or not. And the latest is still older backup and some things were tweaked since. Ugh, life would be simpler with everything @ default. I'll leave it for now. Guess no weather widget for me. I mean it usually works for few hours, but I don't want to use it if it'll keep crashing. I'm slow and despite messing with computers for waaay too long, I still do a bunch of things the Flintstones way. Yabba dabba doo!

  4. Greetings. "libcurl 7.69 with schannel" and "curl 7.46 with openssl" - is a incomparable thing :-( There is some problems with OpenSSL and "Let's Encrypt" certificates, so simplest way is to use ProxyMII + custom libcurl. In attachment - libcurl 7.69.1 with schannel, built on Visual Studio C Express 2008 with forced disabled revocation (string 516 in lib\vtls\schannel.c). Please set masterserver_debug to "Off" - or this library may crash (i can't understood - why?) Best regards. libcurl.7z

  5. If you are trying to install Vista on a Surface Pro or UEFI-only machine, this tutorial is for you. This tutorial shows you how to install Windows Vista on a Surface Pro. This tutorial is meant for the Surface Pro 1, but could work on any other UEFI-only device, which it should, but not guaranteed. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Boot the USB. This ISO uses a Windows 10 PE, but has a Windows Vista install.wim. 2. Open command prompt by pressing "Shift+F10" 3. On the command prompt, type in the following commands: diskpart sel dis 0 clean conv gpt cre par efi size=100 form quick fs=fat32 assign letter w cre par pri form quick assign letter c exit D:\ (where your USB is) cd sources dism /apply-image /imagefile:install.wim /index:1 /applydir:C:\ - If DISM doesn't work, go to D:\support\tools\gimagex and deploy the image with gimagex.exe in the x64 folder bcdboot C:\Windows /s W: 4. Open up Notepad, and click "Open" or "Save As". Enable all files to be viewed. Go to W:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot and copy the BCD file and paste it onto the Windows Vista partition. 5. Go back to diskpart by typing "diskpart" in the command prompt. 6. Type in the following commands: sel dis 0 sel vol w form quick fs=fat32 exit 7.. Go back to Notepad, and click "Open" or "Save As". Enable all files to be viewed. Go to the USB drive, then go to the FlashBootPro folder, then copy the "EFI" folder. 8. Go to W:\ and paste the EFI folder. 9. Go to the Windows Vista partition and cut "BCD". 10. Go to W:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot and paste "BCD" on the folder. 11. Reboot. You should be logged in to the Administrator account. Narrator is enabled on the device. If the screen is not displaying anything, go to screen resolution and set it to 1024x768. The screen should now work. Proof of Windows Vista working on Surface Pro 1: IMPORTANT NOTE: If you try to install Vista on a SP2 or higher or a post-Ivy Bridge machine, your machine will have a lot of bugs and issues as all Vista post-Ivy Bridge machines do.

  9. And if you want to continue this discussion: you can interact with these flowers, touch them, admire them from close up, smell them if they're fragrant, or pick up a bouquet and take it to your sweetheart... and with the cat you can interact even better: you can love it, it can love you back, you can feed it and it would be grateful... these are much closer than the cold and distant Universe to admire from afar, to send probes, to send people to the Moon, and maybe beyond. And don't hesitate to put the likes under the photos of the space I post from time to time, please... that's all you can do with the Universe... put the likes.

  10. ...and when developing your idea, why not pray to the flowers in the field... or to your cat, why not?...

  11. Ha @XPerceniol, it's new, sure. Do you think it would be better to pray directly to Jesus/God Father? More effective?

  12. Oh good to know, very slow over there and I rarely post there I'm no longer interested in taking my time for another forum (and they're not too interested in having another similar topic, apparently) - I don't visit them anymore...

  13. I completely avoided this method and I was able to successfuly port the bleeding edge Opera 97 (Chrome 111) and I have no delays with the startup you wrote about earlier. Screenshots with proof below. Opera was released on 06.02.2023 (yesterday) . It is fully functional, apart from the settings page (I get the error on the screenshot when I try to open them). Apart from that isuue I have the ability to enter the flags section, about, history and bookmarks. Lets' work together to find the cause for the settings. I was able to discover the reason for that weird slowness you wrote about. In short, the chrome devs are mor0ns (surprise...not). They have implemented a new crappy API that doesn't work as expected. I found it . Am I a genius, I dunno ... Link : Microsoft confirms that API is crap. "Thank you for your feedback. We have identified this issue as a Windows issue." https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/prefetchvirtualmemory-does-not-seem-to-preload-fil/1345958

  16. Hi Mina ... Just sitting here drinking chamomile tea and I meditated two times today and brought myself out of doldrums. I feel calm at least but worried at the same time, so I don't know what to say but I'm very happy to see your guys here. I just feel so insignificant because I don't know much about computers and I get lost easily. How are you doing? I hope well.

  17. I'm just, I, I don't know, really anymore. Definitely am bored as well. I don't know what I want either and am very confused today in every way. I've only been on 2 vacations in 50 years. I don't know, I guess, just managing day-by-day, I guess. Anyways, enough of my drama. Hi everyone ...

  19. ... Actually Fx v79.0 , as per the linked documentation ; it was Opera (adjacent to the Fx column) that implemented "??=" in its v71.0... Since 79 is even further from 68 (than 71), it probably makes things for a native implementation in Mypal68 more difficult ...

  21. I'm bored to death, I think I want a new female and then I think I don't, I tried to choose from the newly made ones and didn't find anything interesting. Also I don't have enough Euros, I think. I need to start a new business, maybe ? Or maybe find a job as a merc again, I dunno. I dunno what I want. Maybe I'm just tired. Maybe I have too much strength, I dunno anything anymore. What I know for sure - I'm going on a vacation and I want to find a place without russians and/or similar ones ! And you ?

  31. Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98 SE have been particularly difficult to install in an USB2.0 and PCI-E system such as this Dell Dimension Dual Core on 945 chipset. These two OS are most difficult to install on SATA. I had to temporarily set a SCSI card 39160 and put SCSI disk in channel A bus and CDROM in Channel B bus, start with 640x480 old 4 bit VGA colour. Then I transferred on to SATA II Drives. I have succeeded making Nvidia PCI-E card and USB Hub to work successfully both on Windows NT and 98 SE. I still have disk access problem only on Windows 98. Phoenix BIOS is dated 2007 and has no problem on any other operating system except Windows 98. My problem is particularly deeper since I have to protect other partitions where Windows NT 4.0, Windows XP, BSD Unix 4.3, Solaris 10, Debian Linux and SUSE 11 already installed and working and some of them are sharing applications and data quite competently. Intel seem to be influenced by at least one of software giants not to provide legacy OS drivers for their newer motherboard/chipset. You can still build up ground work manually to make PCI-E video and USB Hub to install even on 900 Series Chipset using still available 800 Series driver. You do need a Windows 2000 or XP to make screen capture shots of memory address port maps and IRQ displayed on device manager and then PCI/VEN device port codes from Hkey Local Machine Enum MF and PCI branches of registry taken from working Windows 2000 and then manually enter by hand on Windows 98 SE whose ground work already built by lower class drivers (i.e., 845 and 915 classes) gradually moving up to 945 or 965 class bay manual entries. You also have to disassemble 965 class driver so that you can get PCI/VEN port information such as North 244XX South 27XX. With Brute Force effort, I have succeeded on Video and USB Hub. I can use USB memory disk both on NT 4.0 and Windows 98 SE. Dell Dimension Minitower Intel 945, Socket 775, Dual Core, XP installed at factory 82801GB/GH/GR ATA/SATA II/RAID (I do not care for this kind of fake RAID) nvidia 6600GT PCI-E WD VelociRapror 300GB (298GiB) x 2 Seagate Barracuda ES2 1.0TB (954GiB) Philips DVD-R x 1, SB Audigy PCI pinecloud
