  3. The game may be choosing optimum or default monitor settings which could be 85Hz or it knows your video card and determines that 85Hz is the highest it can run at. Also the video driver may have different refresh rates for 3D which could be a maximum of 85Hz. You could try updating the monitor driver to a default monitor where there is no restriction in refresh rates and resolutions. It will obey the video driver available settings and those that the monitor can handle. You may just need time for your eyes to adjust to a CRT screen again. Perhaps use 85Hz on the desktop as well. Flicker is best seen when not looking directly at the screen.

  9. If I lived in Romania I would jump in my car and head to your place to help you out as soon as I knew your address. Did your EX help? The fleas:- How far away is the nearest neighbour? Cats if they are healthy can usually get rid of fleas. I think it their brain power and the way they clean themselves. They will not be able to if inundated with them though. Fleas are a pest and like being in your socks and jump on you. It happen to me once the neighbours moved. It turned out it was the neighbours dog kennel about 6 meters away that had the fleas. You need to get anything that is around your house that could harbour fleas lifting it up and exposing it. As you say it seems nothing can shift them probably because they are coming in from outside. If there was a dog near by I would get rid of the kennel. They will eventually go with no sources of blood around. They can not live on you. The house can be cleaned. Cleaning the house is not that hard, I have a vacuum cleaner that has a shampoo attachment. It would do a good job and once a week then after will get it cleaner and cleaner. You have tank water then a shower will take less water than a bath. I know it is tough to bathe in a frost but a bucket with small holes punched through from bucket being upwards through the base will last a fairly long time. Seek out Smiles the charity they might be proficient who knows, it is worth a try. For a boarder you could say free board for one, only need to provide food for one more, help with house work, and pay for bills.
  10. @Dixel I'm mostly just noting observations with this browser on XP. Not really looking to fix/improve anything. This will corrupt the stack and cause a crash if it's ever called unless you also manage to safely disable the code that calls it and processes its result. The code may only be called in specific circumstances that the user may never encounter (maybe the call is a part of some diagnostic code).
  11. My image dev machine runs Win 7 and can service Windows 10 images no problem, but I am only using MS provided tools.
  12. Does not work firefox 90 on windows vista
  13. sure, thanks for bringing this up! https://github.com/roytam1/UXP/commit/fb4c5454c80ccc87610494f47b6c2264056397c5 Well this still excludes Windows 8.x/10 users who may have Aero Glass installed. The old code didn't check the OS. The entire thing is subjective though. Some like glass only on titlebars while other like it literally everywhere. Note that -moz-win-glass means extending window frame rendering to window client area, in case of old TDM lower portion of the window gets glassy or just takes solid color of the frame if user has turned off transparency or runs Win8.x/10 without Aero Glass. This one doesn't make glassy bottom of downloads window, but can be made that way by adding the following to the personal chrome/userChrome.css file in own profile folder: #downloadsWindow { -moz-appearance: -moz-win-glass !important; background: transparent !important; } Or one could modify GlassMyFox extension and make the switch for it in its GUI.
  14. My house is almost uninhabitable for a normal human. Last year there were 42 cats confined in the hallway and not enough litterboxes - imagine how it looks and smells like, because I couldn't clean up anything. On top of that there's all the stuff brought in from my aunt's former flat, some didn't even fit and had to leave them outside in the rain, and now they're destroyed. There's no gas, electricity will be cut pretty soon, no connection to the city sewage so no daily showers or doing the laundry once every week, extremely poor heating in the winter... Oh, did I mention the hundreds or thousands of fleas every summer for about three years already, that drive one (that is, me) crazy because none of the available "solutions" on the market works? Or the mosquitos out in the garden, if one would think going out to breathe some fresh air would be a good idea? Who in their right mind would live here? Told you there would be much much more to say for a true and complete understanding of the situation, and that wouldn't help anyway because there is no solution. As for parallel universes and all that stuff, I was mostly joking - although I know about various theories in quantum physics and whatnot - but even it it was true and I got dragged from another universe and swapped with the real me that pertained to this universe, things are as they are, the past - in this timeline - happened as it happened, just like whatever happened to the other me in the other universe is their reality and their past now in their timeline. The future? Dunno, maybe I'll go back "home" and get buried with honors as in my home universe I may have been the president of the Earth Federation.
  15. Hello. I found some information that could be useful but I need you to test it on XP SP2 to see if it actually works. I tested this on Win7 with v9 and the "chrome.dll" file. The "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" function is present in the code of the "chrome.dll" file of v9. With HxD you can directly search for the "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" entry (Offset (h) = 01b312c0) in "chrome.dll" (screenshot 1 below). After replacing the code by 00 hexadecimal values I got the same error dialog but with no entry point (screenshot 2 below). After replacing "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" by "GetL0gicalProcessorInformation" I got the same error dialog but with "GetL0gicalProcessorInformation" (screenshot 3 below) so I thought that maybe changing the function name could result into something rather than erasing the code completely. In this webpage --> https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/sysinfoapi/nf-sysinfoapi-getlogicalprocessorinformation I saw that for the "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" function is required the SP3 update. In the left side of the page are a lot of functions and saw the "GetLocalTime" function that needed only Windows 2000 to work and decided to change "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" by "GetLocalTime" (screenshot 4 below) and the browser launched without errors. I am not sure if this type of modification could work directly but I can tell that when you do this it is probable that you will get another error but will be with a different function. If that happens then you can switch that other function by "GetLocalTime" and see if it actually do something. It will be very strange if this works with one change but I can not test it myself. Other files that have the "GetLogicalProcessorInformation" function are "chrome_child.dll" and "libglesv2.dll". 17. I have annoying issue with my Windows 98 setup. Last week I got new CRT monitor to it (Mitsubishi Diamond View 1772ie) to replace flatscreen I had before. I installed monitor driver to use 100hz refresh rate at 800x600 resolution (offically supported by crt) and all been working fine expect one issue, When I launch any game that uses fullscreen (on resolution 640x480 or 800x600) refresh rate drops to 85hz. When to I close the game screen refresh rate is back to 100hz. I verified that using crt OSD. Here is specs of system that I use Gigabyte GA-60MM7 motherboard Intel Pentium 3 EB 800mhz Nvidia TNT2 M64 32mb (29.42 driver) 512mb RAM Mitsubishi Diamond View 1772ie CRT monitor So far have been trying drivers up to 41.09 without success. Also tried advanced forceware options but they had no help. NVRefreshTool would fix it but it works only works XP and upwards. Anyone knows soluction to lock it 100hz? Either Windows 98 setting tweak or third party utility. I want keep using crt and have max refresh rate on games to reduce flicker
  18. Not sure. I had not tested the procedure on Windows 7, so to be on the safe side I limited my advice to Windows 8.1. and 10 since 7,8 and 10 have different versions of DISM. Also, I see there are some spelling glitches in my gif's I need to fix when I get a chance
  19. I got it working a few days ago! Most of the 7 drivers from the Dell website worked. A few, I just used driver booster to get.
  20. Like you ordered , with proof . I decided to bash them with something more sophisticated. It is not easy , to fake an iPhone agent , you will need to write a programme for this. I've succesfuly blocked the vendor string detection by UA ! UA wasn't able to collect any hints about my real vendor . Now you can try to use any iPhone useragent for yourself or use the one below . Choose an iPhone useragent with your extension and try https://html5test.com/ . It will still detect that your cheating. Oh , and I'm just really curious , you see , I do upvote your posts , will you upvote mine , cause it really shines and it's a huge breakthrough in terms of privacy . No ? How so ? 21. 1 - I don't know anything about v13. on "later OS" . The latest for me is Vista x64 and it doesn't have any problems , like I said . Perhaps it's because you're using another version ? Try 1106 "beta", it's good . 2- And what environment would that be ? (specs , OS) What do you mean by "newer OS" , is it Vista and up ? I'm sorry I thought you're on XP , right ? 3- Did you or did you not try to install that cert. pack . I remember I started to get cert. errors somewhere around May 2021 . I installed his pack (without SHA-2 updates) and all problems just vanished . I can't replicate your issues with any on these versions on Vista x64 , sorry. About youtbue , try to change your UA , perhaps your slownees is due to numerous scripts and bloat coming from youtube ? Do you have a good adblocker ? Try using mobile user agent from iphone , maybe ? Youtube will load less scripts/bloat if you're on iphone. Other things to consider , try using 344.xx or 347.xx drivers if you're on GTX.
  22. Yeah , all the best , but we'll miss you . Though , It's a good thing to take a break from online activities . Stay well !
  23. Why this particular requirement? Is there something besides ADK components that require it?
  24. Did you forget add context? It is not offically supported or what?
  25. Hi @Humming Owl, this is what I get when I try to start v9 and v11 on Win XP Pro x86 SP2: I think v9 and v11 use a function that requires SP3, maybe if that function is removed it could work on SP2. I could be wrong.
  26. It is a good idea to install a driver that is normally used for any other OS - Windows 7/8/8.1/10.
