Hi, I'm having a weird issue with StartAllBack on Windows 11 where if I click on a taskbar item and then move the mouse upwards, it acts as if I hovered over the first taskbar item and shows the preview. It also acts like I right clicked the current taskbar item and shows the jump list. On the normal Windows taskbar, moving the mouse upwards in this way just puts the item into the draggable state where you can reorder it to the left or right. Video of this happening here: https://streamable.com/u1aq0w

Well, Safe Mode with networking is pretty safe. There was no internet connection regardless, and you can always physically disconnect to be sure. That made it work for WinXP removing Avast free version at least. It takes a few minutes, as opposed to a few seconds, to boot up quite but compared to wasting hours or hacking the registry, it's pretty painless. Avast work at all with Win XP now? It seemed impossible to register to continue use, The permanent key they publish wasn't accepted by my install, and anyway it couldnt get updates for quite a while. Have now moved to Clam.

Thanks for documenting! The file and folder structure which is expected by your app was clear to me from the very first, though. However, the structure of my Thorium installation is different and isn't supposed to be changed.

mathewl started following startAllback v3.7.9 taskbar
-
after the update, the taskbar disappears with parts that are not being used for a task. ie i can have chrome, note pad, pdf open, but if theres any space left the task bar will not be there. and sometimes, ill have a program open, ill minimize it, and it wont be on the taskbar.

It's been like this for ages -- years... A minor version update won't produce a different result... In my opinion, Chrome GPU rasterization is hit and miss when it comes to GPUs. For 4th generation Core CPUs (haswell) IGP, I turn it off. I leave it on for the Radeon HD7770 even though it's twice as slow as software rasterization.

Write your own code. Look at the function documentation and start with a failure stub. Only spend more time when necessary.

rule P.S. I'm still faster

Thorium
NotHereToPlayGames replied to mockingbird's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Agreed! Same here. Single-core CPU, XP x86, IBM ThinkPad T42. This T42 is on its "last leg", I only keep it around to tune aftermarket turbo's and hex-edit Engine Control Modules. I am in-process of migrating all of my engine tuning software to something else - because one of these days, it is SUPERMIUM that is going to outright KILL this laptop! -
And so that everyone has something to laugh about , I am solemnly publishing the result of my Thorium test on my old Windows XP sweetheart:

@UCyborg Is there a way to install the UMDF 1.0 and the mtp driver without WMP11 ? Regards
