  3. Starting point for the Part II is here. From Elira's post: Stale
  4. I disabled them all about 17 years ago on Vista, and even earlier on XP, lost nothing.
  5. "But ... then, why?" Wow. Funny how you learn new stuff all the time. 10 years ago I would have disabled them all and see what happened. But not without before researching here or elsewhere: what are the likely consequences of doing so? I never look at performance counters, and never have had an error saying "you're way down in performance in X", probably due to my stripping XP of useless tricks, functions and spyware/attack surface. So, I wonder and seek illustration on what do I lose by disabling those counters, anyway. I imagine I'll loose the performance tab info in the app "system explorer"? some functionality in "process lasso" and other process monitor tools? Any ideas? Thanks.
  6. Those $5 keys are as much cheating as using digital licenses…
  7. Good Series! The actor went to something called (if I remember correctly) "The Good Doctor". I haven't watched any of "The Good Doctor" to know if it's as goos as "Bates Motel".
  8. I know. And that's exactly how I read it. At the time you wrote that, you said I only lost ONCE. I said that won't do, I can do better than losing ONCE. So I intentionally lost 10 times! 10 is binary for TWO. I have lost TWICE because "last" is a "loss". But I clearly "lost" you aslo, lol.
  9. When I do, it just pops up with an error message saying to drag & drop a WLU file into the script, so I'm not really sure how that helps matters.
  10. You tore these words out of context, by "all lost one time" I only meant those I named, including your account.
  11. so for my "last" word and to put me at an even 10 ---
  12. Well that just won't do... I'll need to get to an even 10. But there will only be 10 types of people that will understand - 1) those that understand binary 2) those that do not
  13. I tried disabling multiprocess mode on St 55 on Win 7 and had a similar experience. Couldn't even type a post on MSFN at 10-20 seconds per letter, with one CPU core maxed out! So, even with a single core, you might have had better luck with e10s forced on. It's my opinion that the OS version makes little difference in performance, assuming the application (browser or whatever) will run on both OSes. The app might be faster if optimized for a newer version, but in that case it's unlikely to run on the older version at all. It's mostly the hardware, rather than the OS, that provides good performance. I always run Serpent in single-process mode as it is the only mode in New Moon 28. Furthermore, I think a real single-core CPU is not fully comparable with a multi-core CPU where only one core is enabled. Anyway! New Moon 28 works great but I have to agree with your observation on MSFN. Writing comments has become much worse than it was in the past. Many delays when entering letters. The whole forum editor has become more of a chronical disease. And I can't see any progress in the last few months that would represent any improvement.
  14. do not kill Windows or Android junk cleaners business model LOL.
  15. Why do you always have to be rude? "System" requirements?
