It would be a great decision if they would upgrade Windows 7/8.1 users to Firefox 128 ESR for another year (won't happen probably)

It won't happen, they'll just extend ESR 115 support for longer than usual.

Yeah that's sad tbh. They could have supported 8.1 till 128 tho. The compatibility isn't broken

I recently found in the profile folder along this path \ storage\to-by-removd

a lot of disk space

I added the task to the .bat file to clean this folder when loading the computer

on an example of how to clean the Temp folder

C:
cd \Users\this should be your username\AppData\Local\Temp
rmdir /s /q C:\Users\this should be your username\AppData\Local\Temp

added the path to the folder to-by-removd

the profile is located at this path  AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Thats great news, its also great because even if we could probably use some open source fork, they are all missing DRM features that some streaming websites require and adding them is not possible (because if I read right widewine plugin needs to be signed with binary) due to a lot of money this DRM plugin companies want to sign the plugin for them, read here: https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/699

So these project,  besides a chromium fork, contains other fork of browsers compatible with Windows7.

Are they compiled by project owner or just stored in releases?

BTW R3DFOX  128 works perfectly on a Windows7 32bits

r3dfox originally runs on Win 7 and even Win Vista. And it has a fully portable version.

I'm in the process of finding the replacement,

But the amount of those startup connections, @NotHereToPlayGames wrote about, is simply insane, has the situation changed? Thanks.

I don't know, I haven't checked that. I'll have to check it out.
