Destro
Hi everyone. real talk here who doesn't like wolves? or Wolfs The best new moon name is Wolf Moon as This full moon occurs in January—a time when tribes often heard wolves howling outside their villages. The best serpent name is Cerberus as in 3 headed wolf , a serpent for a tail, and snakes protruding from multiple parts of his body. The best UXP name is Sea Wolf as in the boat. giving hints, to sea monkey and Navigator. Ty all. Make is so. TechnoRelic
@dencorso --> "SNAKE OIL 2020" <-- I refuse to (Write In) VOTE for YOU as USA PRESIDENT (residing in BRAZIL). You need to 'come up' with a better 'hype' if you want MY VOTE !!! ... ... @Mathwiz As observation , do NOT think that a lot of RT Browser users much know or care just what "SSE" is from a 'technical' CPU perspective. More likely , my guess , they try an RT Browser because it MIGHT work on WinXP OS , and they need that. Again , I like "RFox" (Roytam + FireFox) better for the RT Browser prefix. And again , IF that 'Mathwiz' and 'Matt A Tobin' can agree on some names , I would likely have no problem with it. "RFox MAILNOVA" = RT MailNews Emailer "RFox AURA" = RT BNAV Browser "RFox ELARA" = RT ST55 Browser "RFox CRESCENT" = RT ST52 Browser "RFox CORDELIA" = RT NM28 Browser "RFox IO" = RT AF27 Browser "RFox RIGEL" = RT KM76 Goanna Browser The words ELARA , CRESCENT , CORDELIA , IO have a 'Moon' meaning connection. But not seeing that this would create a problem for PALE MOON ('Matt A Tobin'). The words AURA , RIGEL , NOVA (eMailer) have a 'Celestial' type meaning. But I would let 'Matt A Tobin' have strong input on IF that he sees some kind of problem with PALE MOON and RT Browsers with 'Celestial' names. Mathwiz
@Destro and @TechnoRelic - I like both of your suggestions. (But don't forget we need a name for MailNews too, even though it isn't a browser.) But Moonchild might think of "Wolf Moon" the same way @roytam1 thought of "Royfox;" it would be best if he's OK with whatever names we choose. I can't see Moonchild or @Matt A. Tobin having objections to "celestial" names in general; after all, the latter suggested Neptune as a name. And I think it's OK to acknowledge the Pale Moon heritage of whatever we end up calling New Moon, as long as it's not so similar that folks might think MCP created these. @TechnoRelic's names seem to me to be in the "sweet spot" where the names are different enough (especially with the RFox prefix) to avoid confusion but still subtly give credit to the original works.

dencorso
Peach Moonshine, for Pale Moon 28 (and 27), is a serious sugestion, it has the same initials as Pale Moon, and is less insipid than most sugestions put forward here, up to now. Moreover, I've provided both the about-background.png and a multiresolution icon for that as a start point.
Destro
What about Paracelsus for serpent. "Paracelsus (1493—1541), was an Austrian physician, born Phillip Von Hohenheim. On accident, he discovered he could speak to snakes. He had no explanation for the phenomenon and made no attempt to document its simple existence. In the 1990's, the now-famous Harry Potter discovered that he was a Parselmouth" Source http://linguifex.com/wiki/Parseltongue Mail newsgroups doesn't need its own name, it can be added after the same name roytam1 decides for UXP.. So if he decided on Sea Wolf for UXP Than it would be Sea Wolf Mail & Newsgroups Mozilla did the same exact thing. They called it Mozilla Mail & Newsgroups. Perfectly acceptable. BTW The Sea Wolves is also an excellent movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081470/ Edited January 18, 2020 by Destro

Also , same problem on 'AURORA' name , so changed to 'AURA' which seems good enough. These names are all somewhat 'Celestial' if you will. 'ELARA' , 'CRESCENT' , 'CORDELIA' , 'IO' have a 'MOON' connection. This above would be my latest list , NOT sure if there are other (more) RT Browsers ??? So , the 'RFox Family' of RT Browsers and Emailers. Edited January 18, 2020 by TechnoRelic

RFox aside, I'd like to close this and just go with @TechnoRelic's last suggestions. It's past time to come to some sort of consensus and get to work!
siria
Whatever, but RT-K-Meleon is already KM-Goanna since a few years, this name can be kept.
Mcinwwl
The thing we lack is the way we choose the names. Are we waiting for @roytam1 to make his pick, let most active helpers choose one in small group, or any poll/voting? We have enough proposals. dencorso
If you have time for it, you may collect the suggestions and open a poll thread for voting... Then we can submit @roytam1 just the winner (and maybe the runner-up) for approval and adoption...
