Latest Version of Software Running on XP

Hi, were there any attempts to restore plugin manager and auto updater in notepad++ to work on XP? Only info I found is 1,5 year old and refers to lack of GetTickCount64 function.

That's not a major issue, manual update is still fine, if we are blocked by something POSReady 2009 updates cover.

I'm taking a look at office suites and support is slowly dwindling away. Only suite I know of that still keeps XP support is OpenOffice. It's half-brother, LibreOffice, dropped support a while back. Has anyone tried WPS Office?

WPS 2016 works on 2000 exkernel/XP but 2019 is Windows 7 and up.

But parts of their site are so dumb that they force a mobile layout on a 1024x768 monitor.

WPS Office 2019 runs on XP, no patches required.

I wonder how much it would take to get Chimera working on XP. Supposedly uses C++17 features. Visual Studio 2017 supposedly supports most of those, according to this page.

The binary download is here. It must have been compiled with some version of G++. No new APIs are called directly, at least I didn't find them with GitHub's search function, but they're baked into the binary - maybe the compiler uses them to implement certain C++ features?

I don't know if it has already been mentioned here or not, but the latest version of the MEGAsync desktop client (4.3.1) is working on Windows XP SP3 as of 05/3/2020.

I had to replace the usual email checker.
I prefer light and portable software.
I opted for PopMan:

Available in multiple languages.
In the enabled options, "Launch PopMan at Windows startup" to have the software available as an icon in the system tray.
Now,you just have to enter your accounts.

This aspect would be very interesting for me.

P.S. Even if only for 30 days, I don't trust the partnership with WOT at all.........

P.S.1 I did a quick test, with 0 accounts PopPeeper consumes more RAM than PopMan.

Hopefully we can get a KernelEX like program for XP and Vista, it sucks to see them die. And it also hurts to see how fast it has been because XP is almost 2 decades old and Vista is a decade old. Sorry for being so nostalgic... Now that 7 is gone, it kinda sucks. I do wanna try Linux, though I wanna use older OSes for awhile now. 

Honestly the mid-2000s seemed like the best era for computing.

Which version? I recall Torch dropped XP/Vista support a while back.

Also, there is the one-core-api project for XP for KernelEx

Oh, I seen it allowed Vista and XP to download so I figured it supported XP/Vista. Kinda sucks all the best programs are losing supports for the best OSes.

And what it is called? New to all of this, so I would love to see what it is. Thank you so much~!
