SOAR HIGHER "Recently I heard a man of God share a heartfelt message for the Christians of America. There was unmistakable concern and compassion in his voice as he shared scriptures of comfort with those who felt drained of their spiritual strength. Summarizing what we were feeling, he said that American believers in Christ were under siege by an anti-God government. Our God-given freedoms were being trampled, sometimes under the guise of a created health emergency. Freedoms were being taken away in order to further political power. For the past year and a half, we have been in a spiritual struggle, not only for the souls of men, but also for the soul and spirit of America. It is a clash of kingdoms, a conflict of the darkness of evil and fear, against the kingdom of God’s light. The war is fierce. Many Christians who follow God’s principles and pray constantly, have grown weary with “battle fatigue.” Longing to see the present chaos cease, and God’s righteousness prevail, people ask, “How long must we endure, Lord?” Be encouraged! God has never lost a battle, and it is He who is leading His people. He has promised that there will be victory. Evil will be overcome, and the purposes of God will be fulfilled. The apostle John wrote, “For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.” 1 John 5:4 (NASB). We must have faith in God, for victory is on the horizon...." MORE from the HIGH FLIGHT FOUNDATION blog: https://www.highflightfoundation.org/highflight-blog/item/soar-higher

That's a question to post on GitHub, not in this thread. This is really just a "BS" thread that most of the Supermium userbase probably doesn't even "follow". YOUR fault as much as MINE. I'm MAN ENOUGH to share PARTIAL BLAME. Your EGO probably prevents you from doing the same. You have a God Complex, everybody should praise you. **NOT ME** FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE. I've had ENOUGH of YOU over the YEARS. Yeah, it's THAT simple!

Why all the fuss over Longhorn? A buggy, unstable alpha release of an OS just shouldn't be so popular. I don't remember everyone getting excited over neptune (win2k precursor), or half as excited over whistler, even when that reached beta, so why now? Sure, once LH reaches beta I'll be back - i had 3638 and 4008 -, but the sheer excitement and publicity over ridiculously early builds makes me shake my head like the old-timer I'm slowly but surely becoming. I just think people are getting a little over excited too early, god only knows what the final builds will look like and contain when compared to the ones around now. I am interested in seeing things early, of course - hence 3638 which was downloaded on a 56k modem! - but it just seems to have gotten a little out of hand. Personally, I blame this "internet" thing for getting everyone all excited. Maybe they should shut the 'net after, say, 10.30pm (like uk tv used to), and just show a test card or something. Whaddya reckon then folks? Is there too much hype over LH? Or am I just missing the point?

... Most sadly , I have no reason whatsoever to believe they'll do otherwise ; I remember I had quite a hard time myself to convince them to extend py3.7's support until its official EoL by the PSF and build yt-dlp_x86.exe on it (for the sake of Vista/Win7 32-bit users); and they didn't think twice one year later about deprecating py3.8, leaving the still quite numerous Win7 (32/64-bit) users stranded; and, God forbid, they wouldn't use adang's Win7 mods, of course not ; indirectly, "they" shifted the onus upon you to provide yt-dlp builds to the Win7 communities, which you did out of the goodness of your heart and your extreme altruism, for which you are to be highly praised ! ... I firmly believe that now is the time to "kindly" approach talented "retro" coders like adang or Supermium's win32ss and enquire the feasibility of producing py3.10/3.11 binaries compatible with Vista SP2 (that should be easier, I think ) and, eventually, XP SP3... Perhaps someone over at the MDL forums could do it, I've seen more difficult things getting ported (like an FFmpeg-7.1 32-bit build that runs on XP/Vista) ... Kindest regards, many thanks for holding the "retro" flag high ...
-
Many thanks again @j7n (and @nicolaasjan too!), indeed, that update (KB2533623 for kernel32.dll) fixed the specific problem of yt-dlp_win7.exe here (and probably some other issues that i hadn't discovered yet ). So, in case that Python 3.9 support of yt-dlp really would be dropped in october (god beware!), i'd be prepared ...

I should add that I have never witnessed a "speed decrease" by having 'too many' lists! Here at work, I use 9 lists. Our company firewall, for only God Knows, blocks any-and-all AdGuard lists! At home, I add 5 lists (for a total of 14!), all five at home that can not be used here at work are AdGuard lists.

This may be old info to many/most of you. I posted about this back in 2021 and several posted with the same want and no one ever posted a solution. I wanted to use a Win 10 style start menu with Start All Back. And I posted my desire for whoever designs these things to add that as an option. Not necessary. I stumbled on the solution. Explorer Patcher and Start All Back work together. Explorer Patcher lets you choose Windows 10 or 11 style start menus. In Start All Back turn off the setting to use enhanced classic menu and voilà, Bob's your Uncle! I really liked Start All Back from the beginning. I've just gotten used to the Windows 10 start menu. I couldn't get used to going back to one of older start menu styles and I really don't like the options for using the Windows 11 start menu. I can't tell you how happy figuring this out has made me! I get to use Start All Back and have a Win 10 start menu. The best thing (for me anyway) is how Start All Back gives the Control Panel a dark background. Just a god send. Once I got used to a dark interface (like I've been using with Illustrator and PS for years) and that glaring white hits me in the eyes I'm blind. It's really painful. Maybe I'm just late to the party and everyone else knows this, but I did search here back in 2021 and no one seemed to know how to do this. I know there were others interested. Maybe the info will help someone else.

He--he reached out his hand and he said: "Come with me if you want to live.". Like God reaching out to man. Like-- like the Sistine Chapel. Ellison: The hand of God. Silberman: Hand of God...Yeah...though...there's no proof, we don't talk about it. All of us who were there. Ellison: What if I told you I have proof? Silberman: What do you mean? Ellison: A piece of evidence I found during my investigation. That's why I came to you. For your corroboration. To show you that Sarah wasn't crazy. Nobody...is crazy. Silberman: What is it? More than 60% of men in their 20s (18-29) are single… The new, post-COVID numbers would surely back up previous research that the pandemic has made men prefer an evening alone instead of actually meeting a partner. Just half of single men as a whole responded that they are “looking for a committed relationship and/or casual dates,” a decrease compared to 61% four years ago. But these statistics tell a sadder truth about this generation of men, NYU psych professor Niobe Way told the outlet. “We’re in a crisis of connection,” Way said. “Disconnection from ourselves and disconnection from each other. And it’s getting worse.” The male numbers come sharply juxtaposed to the 34% of women under 30 who now say they’re single — which has seen only a slight pandemic rise in that age group. Another factor at play might be the interests of women changing — especially as suitors of the same age are becoming apparently less desirable, experts said. “[Women would] rather go to brunch with friends than have a horrible date,” LA couples and family psychologist Greg Matos said. Men watching porn has impacted the way that they date, experts say. The expectations of American men are also rising in the minds of women, according to masculinity expert and University of Akron professor Ronald Levant, who added that “unfortunately, so many men don’t have more to give.” But perhaps the largest issue now with young men — one highly impacting their social abilities — is that they are, as a whole, more lonely people than women, a recent study showed. In the early 1990s, 55% of men were reported to have six or more close friends. That percentage dwindled down to 27 in 2021, according to the American Perspectives Survey. Now, 15% of men say they have no close personal friendships, data compiled by the Survey Center on American Life found. Young men have less of a dating desire at the same time when reports show they have fewer friends as well. “Women form friendships with each other that are emotionally intimate, whereas men do not,” said Levant. Even while not dating, “[women] have girlfriends they spend time with and gain emotional support from.” From comments section: "Friendships were much deeper before the Internet and social media. People spoke to each other; you could see them; talked to them; they showed up! Their ethics were different. This is exactly right!" "Been married for 48 years and have grown closer to my wife each decade. Each of us still has lots of work to do. As I see it there are three parties in my marriage: my wife, God and me. It is a triangle with God at the top and she and I on the bottom. As each of us grows closer to God (going up our respective sides of the triangle) we automatically grow closer to each other. Spiritual growth means learning to be more honest, more humble, and more caring. Spiritual growth also builds stronger character, including being willing to stand up, and sacrifice, for what is right. The best husbands are not weak. They are strong in the right ways. And the best wives are those who have learned to follow Christ’s leadership in their lives. For those in bad marriages, you can’t change your spouse. But even if one partner grows as a person and the other partner continues down a bad path, the marriage is more likely to improve. Few marriages break up because one of the two partners is too good or too caring." "It is too bad, these statistics show how society declined. A young man who finds a likely lifetime mate, a woman with whom there is compatibility, should get married. I was married at 25, my wife was 22. We have been married for 53 years, and have two sons and a daughter. I like the married life. It is a matter of finding the right woman, and being mature and loving. We also share faith in God, the most important thing which binds us together." "As addictive, fun, and useful the Internet has become, I think it's causing great harm to society as a whole. It's heartbreaking. We will never again enjoy the innocence of previous generations." More: https://nypost.com/2023/02/23/6-out-of-10-young-men-are-single-disturbing-reasons-why/amp/

Salvador Dali Exploring the irrational: The paranoiac- critical method of Salvador Dali An autobiographical note “He is a hero who revolts against paternal authority and conquers it.” SIGMUND FREUD “To write the following, I am wearing for the first time some patent-leather shoes that I have never been able to wear for long at a time, as they are horribly tight. I usually put them on just before giving a lecture. The painful pressure they exert on my feet goads my oratorical capacities to their upmost. This sharp and overwhelming pain makes me sing like a nightingale or like one of those Neapolitan singers who also wear shoes that are too tight. The visceral physical longing, the overwhelming torture provoked by my patent-leather shoes, forces me to extract from words distilled and sublime truths, generalized by the supreme inquisition of the pain that my feet suffer. So I put on my shoes and I begin to write down, masochistically and without haste, the whole truth about my exclusion from the Surrealist movement. I care nothing for the calumnies hurled at me by Andre Breton, who cannot forgive me for being the last and the only Surrealist, but it is important that someday, when I publish these pages, everyone should know what really happened. To explain this I must go back to my childhood. I was never capable of being an average pupil. I would either seem completely unteachable and give the impression of being utterly dumb, or I would fling myself on my work with a frenzy, an application and a will to learn that astonished everybody. But to awaken my zeal, it was necessary to offer me something I liked. Once my appetite had been whetted, I became ravenously hungry. My first teacher, Don Estaban Trayter, repeated to me for a year that God did not exist. Peremptorily, he would add that religion was “a woman’s business.” Even though I was very young, this concept delighted me. To me it seemed strikingly true. I could see the truth of it every day in my own family, for only the women went to church and my father refused to go, calling himself a freethinker. To emphasize the freedom of his thoughts, he would embellish everything he said with enormous and picturesque blasphemies. If anyone objected he would quote his friend Gabriel Alamar’s aphorism: “Blasphemy is the most beautiful ornament of the Catalan language.” I have tried elsewhere to recount my father’s tragic life. It is worthy of Sophocles. In fact my father is the man I have not only most admired but also most imitated, though I made him suffer a great deal. I pray God will keep him in His sacred glory, though I am sure he must be there already, for the three last years of his life were distinguished by a profound religious crisis which afforded him the consolation and final pardon of the last sacraments. But in this period of my childhood, when my mind was thirsting after knowledge, I found only atheistic books in my father’s library. Looking through them, I carefully noted, leaving no proof untested, that God does not exist. I read with incredible patience the Encyclopedists, whom I nowadays find unbearably dull. Every page of Voltaire’s Philosophical Dictionary provided me with the arguments of a man of law (like those of my father, who was a notary) as to the non-existence of God. ... LOVE Vasko Kohlmayer Oct 12, 2022 "Dear Readers, I have not posted anything in some time, because I needed to take a break from writing. I felt quite drained, and I also needed to devote some time to family matters. For the paid subscribers, I paused billing some time ago so they should not be charged for the time I’ve not been posting. (You are, of course, free to unsubscribe at any time.) I have been following the news and latest developments, and it is quite obvious that the world is not well at this time. In any case, sooner or later I will resume writing and throw my two cents into the mix. In the meantime, below is a little poem I wrote the other day. In a peculiar way, somehow it feels proper for these troubled times. LOVE Love is the thing that we all seek, Love is the tongue the angels speak, Love is the soul’s eternal thirst, Love is life’s last and also first. Love is the force that drives it all, Love is the heart’s most earnest call, By love we God’s promise seize, Love is the lens through which God sees. Love is what gives the heart its grace, Love is the matrix behind space, It is love that dresses Earth in air, It is love that makes living fair. Love is the secret of life’s bliss, We do not live if love we miss, Love is the glue that binds us all, Love is the cure that heals the soul. On throbbing love this cosmos stands, Love is the pulse of the universe, Love is the wellspring of all being, Love is the secret of right seeing. Without love no joy rings true, Love is God’s most telling clue, Love is God’s most precious dealing, Love is what gives life its meaning." I''m very happy you got properly got diagnosed. Very brave and I hope you will find a combination of medication (if that is needed) with therapy to bring you to a better place so as you can enjoy life again. For me (personally) I've come to better accept the moods swings, and as I've said before, its when they go to the extremes. I've been low in the gutter and manic in the same day. They might not (necessarily) completely resolve and you are human and have emotions and nobody would want to be just "flat" and unable to feel anything, and that balance is the key. Over medicating can cause this, but you'll have to work with your team to find what is right for you. Honestly, it took me years to get good therapy and I'm properly medicated now, whereas, there was times I'm was hospitalized on Haldol and that was ugly, but psychosis overtook me, but I'm better, but still have my days - we all do - the human condition. https://practicalpie.com/the-human-condition/ I am not religious, but I consider myself to be very spiritual now and less caught up in organized beliefs/teachings. *God means something different to others and views can differ* The bible says: 1 John 4:16-19 ESV / 23 helpful votes So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. See, no worries or arguments here Again, this is new for you and a improper diagnosis is awful and labeled bipolar wasn't right for you, so now, you'll be better able to understand your "condition" rather seeing as illness all the time. Happy for you and so glad you shared so on here. ~~~~~~~~~Please note to all that read this (especially you,@sunryze: , I needed to correct many severe mistakes, so please red again, I'm sorry for those mistake were merely that my brain doesn't always connect and I often use the wrong words; I hope you got it and understood my errors and read between the lines. Again I do feel bad, but hope I didn't make you feel worse. -
from here ----> https://www.xavier.edu/jesuitresource/online-resources/prayer-index/new-years-prayers New Year's Prayer As the dawn breaks on a new year, let us give thanks for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends. Let us release our grudges, our anger and our pains, for these are nothing but binding chains. Let us live each day in the most loving ways, the God-conscious way. Let us serve all who are in need, regardless of race, color or creed. Let us keep God of our own understanding in our hearts and to chant God's name each day. Let us lead the world from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth and from wrong to right. Let us remember that we are all one, embracing all, discriminating against none. May your year be filled with peace, prosperity and love. May God's blessings shower upon you and bestow upon each of you a bright, healthy and peaceful new year. - Rev. Marcy Sheremetta

Birdy - People Help The People [Official Music Video] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmLNs6zQIHo Jéssica Valesca 1 year ago Lyrics: God knows what is hiding In those weak and drunken hearts I guess you kissed the girls and made them cry Those hardfaced queens of misadventure God knows what is hiding In those weak and sunken eyes A fiery throngs of muted angels Giving love but getting nothing back Oh, people help the people And if you're homesick, Give me your hand and I'll hold it People help the people Nothing will drag you down Oh, and if I had a brain Oh, and if I had a brain I'd be cold as a stone and rich as the fool That turned all those good hearts away God knows what is hiding In this world of little consequence Behind the tears, inside the lies A thousand slowly dying sunsets God knows what is hiding In those weak and drunken hearts I guess that loneliness came knocking No one needs to be alone, oh, save me People help the people And if you're homesick, Give me your hand and I'll hold it People help the people Nothing will drag you down Oh, and if I had a brain, Oh, and if I had a brain, I'd be cold as a stone and rich as the fool That turned all those good hearts away People help the people And if you're homesick, Give me your hand and I'll hold it People help the people Nothing will drag you down Oh, and if I had a brain, Oh, and if I had a brain, I'd be cold as a stone and rich as the fool That turned all those good hearts away ___________________________________________ In This Together - Ellie Goulding & Steven Price - Lyric https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ml9FNSWsp-U -
Let's try to get the Intel LAN I219-V running with XP!
Mark-XP replied to Mark-XP's topic in Windows XP
Or you nead a board with a second "< i219" LAN chip on it, like my ,new' GA-Z170N-WiFi God bless that wise (or simply miserly?) taiwanese engineer who decided to put that extra, slightly outdated (or simply cheaper?) i211 on it! No need for an old Realtek-PCI-LAN, and no need to replace its modern 11ac 867 WiFi with an aged M2 6235. This Skylake i5-6600 (non T) system running idle consumes about incredible 1.1 W only (XP) and 0.8 W only (Win7) - at least according to HWMonitor 1.28 - utilizing the integrated HD530. That would mean approximately 1/6 of power input compared to my current IvyBridge-i5 rig ! So, God bless @Mov AX, 0xDEAD, @Dietmar, @Ramsey, @Kai-Schtrom and everyone else who made this possible too! A happy new 2024! -
I wasn't catching anyone in a "a grammar trap." Come on, there's one million of live witnesses. Also, as religious people would say, God sees everything, fear of God. A fair solution would be now you both apologize. EDIT: Maybe then I reconsider postings of my valuable information, Take a note, it also says --flag-switches-begin, it's the beginning, also no quotes.

You see ... I DO read everything. Those last 2 were very nice postings. In this current world, we are lacking what I would consider "common courtesy" and I was brought up well by father and am well mannered, honest, sincere, own up to mistakes and never claim to be perfect. People should at the very least.. Hold the doors open open for others instead of letting it slam in their face. Make effort to learn new things every day, otherwise, waiting to die. The last is very important one. "Reads This Without Feeling Offended" This is they key - we - a person feeling offended by/from something they read or what another (imperfect human being) says, they should discover why they are offended, it usually from within. Took me years (too long) to not become so sensitive. When something upsets you, only you suffer with users. John 4:16 NIV "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." -
Wait... what is Thorium? A chemical element? This! It's the same on this old Fujitsu. Actually, I turned my pockets inside out and found another 67 MHz! It runs at 800 MHz. I think I remembered 733 MHz from reading a data sheet. It may have been for a different configuration of the same model. Or I may have confused it with my 733 MHz Pentium III that I have in a desktop PC. Will they immediately block you if they see you have Windows XP? Or they only use that for statistics? I think you have a typo here. It should be rv and not "rw". Small detail, but I doubt it will accept it or read it correctly if it says "rw" and "rv" is expected. I'm just guessing. I have not tried it. But does it have to be a valid Firefox version? And do I have to change it for both browsers if I have more than one in the string, like changing "Firefox/52.0 PaleMoon/27.10.0" to "Firefox/48.0 PaleMoon/7.7.7"? I'm using 7.7.7 arbitrarily here (God mode) because I don't know what to set it to. I will have to look it up if it has to be a valid number. This one is not compatible with my New Moon 27.10.0? It says on the website that it's compatible with "Pale Moon 29.0 to 31.*". This is for version 1.7.2, last updated December 25, 2022. So it's not a good recommendation, I guess? But I do understand and appreciate the suggestion. I will have to find an alternative. I have used one such extension for Firefox before. I still have it on my main PC. It's called User-Agent Switcher (by Linder). I don't use it unless I have to. I don't like to mess with user agent strings to be honest. They don't make sense to me. As I have pointed out here already. I mean if and when done so manually. So I agree that using an extension is a sensible thing to do. One fun way I used the extension in Firefox, back in 2015 and 2016, was to trick Microsoft into presenting me with the option to download the generic Windows 10 ISO files, by making them think I'm using a Linux or Mac computer, and therefore cannot use their Media Creation Tool. But it's such a perversion from Microsoft... as a Windows user, they make me use their tool to create what is essentially a custom ISO, and not the original and verifiable ISO file. But yeah, that's one very good use case for a user agent switcher.

Abomination, abhorrent to God. Since you're running into HW problems in another thread (which might involve replacing caps), get some regular 40/60 tin/lead rosin core solder. When you desolder, add some of this to the solder joints -- resultant alloy will have a lower melting point & make parts removal much easier.

It is one of the closest planetary nebulae to Earth, as well as one of the brightest. With an apparent magnitude of 7.6 and an apparent size of 25 arcminutes, the nebula is visible in binoculars and easily observed in small telescopes in good conditions. Its striking appearance has earned it the nickname the Eye of God Nebula. Planetary nebulae like the Helix are formed when stars that are not massive enough to go out as supernovae expel their outer envelopes at the end of their evolutionary cycles. The stars become white dwarfs – hot remnant stellar cores – that energize the ejected material. White dwarfs are very dense, typically packing a mass similar to that of the Sun into a volume comparable to that of the Earth. The intense ultraviolet radiation from these stars causes the ejected layers of gas to glow. The Helix Nebula is believed to have formed about 10,600 years ago, when the central star, catalogued as GJ 9785, reached the end of its life cycle and shed its outer layers into space. The nebula’s age is believed to be in the range between 9,400 and 12,900 years based on the measured expansion rate of 31 km/s−1." ... ...
