  1. Good find. You need to have a yahoo account and join the group before you can download their files though. Just to be sure, which file in their downloads are you mentioning? AutoScriptWriter for Autoit3.zip (30 KB) ?
  2. Could use "findstr" (a native CMD function) with pipes to modify action...
  3. political views on the forum, please be discreet since its a personal matter... * closed
  4. That's what you should do. It will work properly.
  5. eh? Why would you want to slip-stream it and then re-install it again? You need to choose whether those features are wanted by you or not. If you want it, don't slip-stream (use normal installer). @Bâshrat the Sneaky I think you also need to have this key entered into your hives somehow, if you want to disable the "first-time run" dialogs of WMP10. ;Media Player License Autoaccept [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer] "GroupPrivacyAcceptance"=dword:00000001
  6. haha... **** good find sven Follow the link at the bottom of the page that is linked to above (in sven's post), to read 2099 fantastic one-liners.
  7. office2k3 will only install on desktop PCs - Win2kSP3 or XP or higher. The PDA will need a special version of Office, which you can "Sync" into it.
  8. If all you want to do is get a .TXT to show up, run this command: notepad %whatever%\path\FILENAME.TXTAdapt it for WPI. Otherwise, to auto-enter the key, you can do it many ways: 1. Re-pack the installer (using InstallRite). 2. Use Auto-IT scripts. 3. Use VB scripts.
  9. I was on batch-files. Then went to RunOnceEX. Now using good old XPlode 1.00 (been using it since when it was called XPinstall betas!) since almost a year I think.
  10. Could you please make your question clearer? Win98 on Palm1 PDA? Office2003 on Palm OS? Office 2003 and Outlook on Win 98?
  11. uh! Both those drivers can be installed using the OEMpnpDriversPath method (easier, and more trustable). PowerDVD 5 works fine if you give -s -f1"path to file\setup.iss"Also, the install-shield page (in the guide) has info about runonceEX from CD (where you need to direct it to a log file) - link.
  12. Will be good! Waiting for release....
  13. Woohoo! The 100th such topic in the last 30 days. Try searching - you'll find a multitude of methods and installers.
  14. Yes to all And how to close those 4 ports? Symantec Security Center may not really the best there is.... Try to block using that itself, if there's no way to do it, check out ZoneAlarm firewall (the best right now, and free to boot).
  15. Check out EasyBoot.
  16. Obliviator, using ezshare.de is the best option (20 MB upload limit, no traffic caps). yousendit.com is another option to consider, but there you have an upper limit of how many times a file can be downloaded. 100webspace.com is a host giving you 100MB of free webspace, but has a download transfer limit (only 2 GB per month).
  17. 1. Port 80 is open for *INCOMING* connections. That's not correct. It should not be open at all, unless you have a HTTP server there. 2. You need no ports to be open, for outgoing connections (as in, browsing, downloading, etc.)
  18. Slip-stream it into your XP source. Install. It will work perfectly fine.
  19. @neil Yep, seen those descriptions. And oh wow.... as I said, it has me interested. I do not already own a DVD of any of the matrix series (saw 'em all in theatres, or TV). So then that pack would be one **** fascinating buy for me? What do you say? @SiMoNsAyS WooHoo! Great! Bring 'em on (photos/screenies, I mean)
  20. The Web archive does, for sure. http://web.archive.org/web/19961221030339/www.hotmail.com/ About
  21. haha.... far simpler design - any browser would have accessed it But NOoooo, how can IE dominate the world if IE is not the best browser to browse MS sites? As for how http://www.microsoft.com looks and functions, it never has bothered me for the reason I say later below. I surf with images off, for the most part. So a simple page design with proper alt-tags used on all images is the most appealing site for me - and MS.com is not one for simplicity. I always do this for whatever I needed to find on MS.com: g site:microsoft.com "search term"Type that in the address-bar of Opera (or into IE, if you have a certain regtweak applied), and what I want is on the search results (it brings up top X number of google finds).
  22. Oooh.... 0.9x beta? Sounds nice. Is there a link to the download?
  23. @BlackShadow You shouldn't need to use winnt.exe - just boot from CD and choose to install windows to C:\ partition. @Ctwizzy Its not so much effort needed at all.... Just use whatever suits you! As for why C: should be 7.5 GB, the reason (in brief) is that a boot-sector should always be within the first 8 GB of a fixed disk. Giving 512 MB to a "/boot" partition of any unix-based OS (or win98 or any OS for that matter) will then be possible on easier terms. LILO/grub should be within 8 GB for best results. While 7.5 GB is not a limit you can force upon anyone, experience teaches you what's best. to google for more info on this
  24. The most sad part for MS.... If they made this add-on good, they'd get sued. If they did not, you'd sue them!
  25. If you do need to capture the screen and there's no other way, then make the concerned app's window title-bar active, then press the key-combination Alt + PrtScrnThen go to MS Paint and from the menus, "Edit >> Paste". Save as JPEG or GIF and post it. (preferably do not attach it to a post - upload it somewhere and post it with IMG tags. I will remove any attached images if it is too large)
