if you have used Win98 Revolution by Tihiy you might be know there is a feature called LameSkin, i've checked the file for implement that is only Lameskin.DLL and some images file created in C:\Windows\Resource folder. i have playing a bit and think LameSkin can be implement in other version of Windows especially WinME/2k my question : 1. is this dll need to register first in able to use? i mean use regserv32 ......... atleast can someone provide the sample command of regserv that can be use? 2. can we made this is opening by default without rpconfig.exe? (for implementing in other OS we dont need rpconfig.exe) thanks all

so... nice to have Microsoft "stealed" technology from OS/2 here as Windows NT, with NT Based Kernel not DOS Based Kernel and how about ReactOS anyone heard it? www.reactos.org , it's claimed as 1/2 Windows and 1/2 Linux, an operating system desain to be compatible with Windows NT 4 (maybe later with Win2k and up), some of Windows programs have reported to works. and maybe 5-10 years later this os will be the free alternative to M$ Windows (gee its when everybody got Vista on their desktop pc )

you have a legit deep freeze version? if you can't install it on your win2k server pc just contact Faronics Inc. support maybe they will have some solution

just like Daemonforce have said before many people said nero was suck cause it nero express can't do a bootable cd, i only use nero express for an EXPRESS jobs like burning image or data to cd or making simple mp3/audio cd but for bootable disk i prefer nero burning rom, as it simple : 1.open nero BURNING ROM 2.CLOSE the wizard (click CLOSE WIZARD button) 3.in NEW COMPILATION dialog click CANCEL button 3.select FILE -> BURN IMAGE 4.select the image you want to burn and in WRITE CD dialog click WRITE simple isn't? PS : all the important step are in CAPS

mainly using win2k pro (i dunno why but i loved it), but also have : - win3.1 - wfw3.1 - win95 - win98/win98se - winme (suck) - win2k pro - winxp pro sp1 - xandros linux - ubuntu linux (have the cd but never install it ) - suse linux (it's in my friend house now) i have allmost completed windows os, but i'm will not go buy vista cause my pc spec didn't meet it

exactly the simple thing is add the source of the office into windows installation source JUST BEFORE you make the iso (click explore before make iso) and like Invisible Gr said before if you integrate it as hotfixes you maybe need a dvd but try to add it as source and a cd would be fit (just cleanup a bit,like removing ie folder,etc) i did this simple method with my win2k + office2k sr1 cd cause integrate it as hotfixes will give me a half day to install

for simple use nero burning rom instead nero express, once you get in close the wizard then select file -> burn image click ok and you are set

i think many people have done this before but how about starting sharing it? this is what i have done with my old win2k pc (give it some xp classic feel) and NOTE : - hacked the toolbar and change the animated globe to xp logo, but found some problem with big icon and the search,back,forward button - hacked the start button flag into xp flag - hacked desktop icon via shell32.dll (completed) - hacked monitor item in system properties - more... you mean slipstreaming office into winxp installation cd? if you found the way to make application silent and switchless install type, maybe you can try with office too but i can't guaranteed that cause office installation maybe asking you for cd, and just some info i already have a switchless office2k sr-1 with serial number has allready filled (unattended office) so it must be not a problem for me to install it on silent. and now i've made 1 unattended cd that contain win2k + usp5.1 + office2k + freeware softwares and all only ~690 mb

Windows 98SE English + Unofficial Service Pack 2.1a + Windows 98 Revolution (Lame Skin, KernelXP dll, etc) = BEST WINDOWS 9X btw u can tweak ME using tutorials from some sites to make it more stable (but still less than 98SE) like mgdx.com,winhack.com,etc

wow, thats maybe need some setup.exe modifying and you must know about low-level programming at all or you need to know about reverse engineering (if i'm not mistaken)
