  1. Just to give you all a laugh, I'm still using Norton Utilities 2002 on XP (and Windows 98), but that's a bit off-topic as that never actually included an anti-virus option. It all still works though! BTW I don't think that list on page 1 is a 'blacklist', it's just a list of abandoned programs, which there's no point in using anyway, and Kaspersky which has well documented security concerns about it so 'use at your own risk'.
  2. Off-topic posts removed. Any more personal bickering here, and all of those involved will be punished, immediately, with no questions asked. This has gone on quite long enough, and this will not be tolerated in future in what should be purely technical discussion thread. Thank you.
  3. Isn't increased stability the main advantage of multiprocessing in browsers? If each tab and add-on is running in a separate process, wouldn't that likely prevent a crash in one tab bringing the whole browser down?
  4. OK Mister Pedantic, they didn't actually load 'instantly'! They certainly didn't take over 30 seconds to load as was cited earlier though.
  5. Both The Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather load instantly for me on IMDB using 360Chrome!
  6. Ah, I just assumed you were talking about 360Chrome because of the thread your post was in.
  7. If you have the tabs settings set that way, bookmarks should always open in a new tab, as should address bar links. With links in web pages, it seems to depend on how they are programmed.
  8. Thanks yes, that indeed fixes it. I wouldn't use it in that mode normally of course as it slows everything down considerably.
  9. OK, problem solved! I feel like an absolute fool now. A few days ago I was having a problem with something, and as part of the troubleshooting, I switched the 360Chrome proxy option from 'Do not use proxy' to 'Use IE proxy'. Of course, I then forgot to switch it back! I thought things had been running a bit slow, but hadn't twigged what the problem was. 'Use IE proxy' on my system runs https through ProxHTTPSProxy. Now I've gone back to no proxy, everything is fine. Why OnlyFans had a problem in the IE Proxy mode I have no idea, all the other sites I've been using have been fine. Sorry to have troubled you all!
  10. Sorry, I thought that almost everyone was aware of OnlyFans now! Yes, it's a site often used by 'adult' performers, but not by any means exclusively so. It was working fine in 360Chrome the last time I looked a few weeks ago, but no longer. Turing all the extensions off makes no difference. It's certainly not blocked by my ISP, if it was I would get a block message from them. Still works fine on my Windows 10 browsers of course.
  11. OnlyFans also no longer works. I'm just getting this, repeated over and over.
  12. Having never used the others, I can't really comment. I just found OrangeMonkey very easy to use, with a very good user interface.
  13. FWIW I use OrangeMonkey! I like it very much. Are all these monkeys from the same species, I wonder?
  14. The LG site is working fine now here. Read from here and apply the polyfill scripts.
  15. Just as an off-topic aside, on Windows 98 I'm still running an ancient Trend Micro antivirus program wonderfully named 'PC-cillin' from 2002. It stopped getting automatic updates over ten years ago, but I can still manually download and install the pattern files even after all that time, which I do every week. As long as the format of the pattern files does not change of course, there's no reason why you can't do that indefinitely.
  16. Any more political rants here will not be tolerated. That is forbidden here in technical threads.
  17. Posting about Kaspersky is not off-topic here, as it's a security program which can still be used on Windows XP, which is the topic of this thread. Nobody here has the authority to ban the discussion of any program in any thread, unless it's off-topic for that thread. The risks of using Kaspersky are now well known, and should be discussed, but only on a technical basis, not concerning the software's origins, which quickly descends into political rows, which are not allowed here in technical threads. It's up to individuals to make the choice as to whether to still use programs like Kaspersky. Helping people make that choice is what these discussions are all about.
  18. As I believe that 360Chrome 13.5.2036 is the last version of the browser which will run on Windows XP, I see no point in NotHereToPlayGames, or anyone else, doing any further work on it, unless some way of improving its performance or compatibility comes to light.
  19. Even if the other connections work, there could still be a bad connection on the headphones. If the motherboard and daughterboard are connected by connectors which can be unplugged, unplug them and clean the contacts and plug them in again, making sure that the connectors are seated properly of course.
