  1. I'd just physically put the left speaker on the right and the right on the left if I found out they were reversed. Easiest way to resolve the problem.
  2. More info on your configuration, especially your drives??
  3. Try path=c:\windows\system32;
  4. Maybe the "USB drive" is tiny and read-only
  5. What was in the RAR? Was it an ISO? I think you burned the ISO itself as a file on the CD instead of as a CD-image itself.
  6. If there are no USB devices connected, those services shouldn't start. Try disabling those two drivers to see if the problem continue to persist.
  7. Try reinstalling IE then?
  8. Yes. Without the extra power it will not boot.
  9. There are probably better. http://compression.ca/act/act-win.html A bit old but interesting comparison.
  10. Try Borland Resource Workshop 4.5 Discontinued software. Filename is BRW45.ZIP
  11. Temporarily remove the start menu\Programs folder (move it somewhere else) and see if the problem persists.
  12. Yes. It must boot to DOS prompt. Copy I386 contents to it. In AUTOEXEC.BAT run WINNT.EXE in I386 directory to begin installation. Older hard drives are particularly suitable for this, they don't need to be over 1Gb.
  13. In particular, check the corners of the die. Make sure they're not chipped and that there are no cracks in it.
  14. A reformat/reinstall is probably a good idea for your system. Another 256M of RAM is cheap and will help performance quite a bit. 128 is marginal for XP.
  15. I know this might be a strange suggestion, but try reformatting as FAT32 instead of NTFS and then reinstalling. If the problem goes away it's probably something to do with NTFS file security/permissions.
  16. From the official CD: Windows XP Pro 5.1.2600 - 460Mb
  17. DO YOU HAVE A STUCK SHIFT KEY?!?! Is the iPod plugged in when installing iTunes? I think E: is the drive letter of the iPod when it's mounted.
  18. The Celeron 2.4 Northwood (478) is very overclockable. You should be able to get at least 3GHz from it. I have one running at 3.2 with stock cooling and voltage, and have seen as high as 3.7GHz with better cooling.
  19. Wrong file again! USER.EXE is an NE file and is part of the 16-bit subsystem. Reshacker only works with PEs. What you're probably thinking of is USER32.DLL which has nothing other than Version resources. All these files are locked while Windows is running, so save to another directory, boot into DOS, copy the files over, then start Windows.
  20. RF modulator with S-Video input? Audio shouldn't be a problem, since the modulator should have a standard RCA or socket connection for it.
  21. If you're behind a router that uses NAT, you don't even need a firewall to block incoming connections since the router performs that purpose. The only use I can see for a software firewall is to monitor any suspicious outgoing connections, which aren't going to occur if you're free of malware anyway.
  22. I just use electrical tape to hold the wires in place and out of the way. It's cheap and works well.
  23. What did you do to it?
  24. What about the Mini Typhoon? It's quite new. http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Cooler/...268.asp#feature The smaller version of the Big Typhoon. Approximately 200g lighter, but it's still more than half a kg.
