  2. I just got cable internet and i need to split it between 2 computers. I was looking at the Linksys WRT54GL, it can be hacked with different firmware which is a plus but is thre anything bad with this router? Can anyone reccomend anything else thats around the same price thats better?
  3. Im looking for a new harddrive and im just wondering will getting one with NQC have better performance than one without and is this a good choice for a harddrive http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/index.php?redir=http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/show_product_info.php?input[product_code]=HD-WD2500KS&input[category_id]=366
  4. I have put it up to 3.28ghz and its stable but how high can the memory freq go on cheapo ddr2 ram, its at 688 now, will i damage the ram if i keep going up.
  5. I have a socket 775 celeron d 2.5ghz and i only have the stock hsf and a 120mm fan in the powersupply pulling out hot air. I have put it up to 2.9ghz and its 30 degrees c on idle and about 41 degrees c under full usage and hasnt crashed. Would i be able to push it abit more or should i wait until i get better cooling and at 2.5ghz in the bios its detected at 133mhz fsb but the cpu is a 533mhz fsb, will this affect performance.
  6. I ended up getting a gigabyte GA-8I945PL-G.there is a 4pin socket that im assuming it needs a cord from the power supply to plug into it and my psu doesnt have one, does this mean i need a new psu?
  7. Thanks. Will any motherboard work in 64bit or do i have to get one designed for it and any recommendations on what motherboard to get thats fairly cheap but overclocks good. This motherboard here http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/reviews...925XE7AA_1.html says it supports 800/1066MHz FSB does that mean my 533mhz cpu wont work?
  8. I have a Celeron D 2.53 ghz 533mhz fsb socket lga775 CPU and a Gigabyte 8s648fxp-rz(-c) socket 478 motherboard, which one would be better to keep and what would you reccomend getting. Keeping in mind that i will be overclocking and having dual display.
  9. Sorry i forgot to add that i will be upgrading the cpu to about 1ghz pentium 3
  10. Im going to be playing mainly nfs porsche and gta3 on it maybe some others like that but its not really a gaming pc and playing videos on my tv through s-video.
  11. Thanks for the help , any recommendations of which graphics card i should get. im looking for one with s video out and would like 128mb but if i have to go to 64mb i will.
  12. No the board works fine but when i put in the fx5200 there is just a blank screen when i start it up, it sounds like it boots into windows but i cant tell.
  13. At the moment its CPU:Celeron 433mhz MB:Pcchips M754lmr Harddrive:Maxtor 2.67gb Modem:hspc56 Ram:Generic 376mb Onboard video:Alladin TNT2 I have tried without any thing plugged in but it still didnt work.
  14. Im a bit confused now, it says on the box it needs 300w but i just checked the psu in my sisters pc which it worked fine in and it says the psu is 220w. This happened with a different video card as well, i think i tried a mx4000 or something and it did exactly the same thing as the fx5200
  15. I have disabled it as far as i can tell. I just found out it needs a 300w powersupply, i have a lc-300atx which is 300w i dont know if its a generic or not but could it be that the graphics card isnt getting enough power.
