  1. If it's 3 legit CDs, then it seems to be legal. It's perfect for your 3 PCs
  2. Isn't that an antivirus program you're talking about?
  3. Maybe the game doesn't need that much RAM? It'll only request what it needs. So, I see this question as being somewhat rediculous. It's like asking if you can make Windows bigger so that it'll fill up your hard drive
  4. Try it to find out for sure
  5. Try it. Whichever way works.
  6. I don't know what font is missing, but the default would be MS Sans Serif.
  7. Did you ever see that thing? Just max 1500MB/s, your normal RAM will do better then that, just trow in a 2GB or 4GB(XP64/2003) and you have the best optimalisation for your swap-file Edit: Jeremy, you beat me with that one... I needed to use 12 minutes to type it while eating. What I meant was, use it as swapfile *after* you've maxed your RAM.
  8. Don't like this new UI. Too distracting because of too many graphical effects. The rounded corners on everything just get irritating to lok at after a while. I'd prefer a more clean-looking standard Window with flat slate-grey buttons and menus. It's a more professional appearance. This looks more like software for 7-year-olds.
  9. I prefer the manual removal: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic43659.html
  10. Run MemTest86 on it for a few hours to see if the memory is stable at that speed. You won't damage it with excessive speed, you'll just get lots of memory errors that'll disappear when you lower the speed back down. You can lower the memory divider and raise the core speed if the memory can't handle it.
  11. You can use any rackmount case as a regular desktop, although it might look a bit strange...
  12. Put your swapfile on it. Even if it's not as fast as main memory, it's still much faster than an actual hard drive.
  13. No thanks, I'll keep my IE...
  14. A RAMDRIVE may also be what you're looking for?
  15. Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced One of the settings under the Security section.
  16. 64Mb integrated graphics on the mobo?
  17. Windows password not BIOS password...
  18. En Display Properties -> Appearance -> Advanced -> Message Box, change the font used. The large bold font is the system default font used if the correct font is missing.
  19. CHKDSK your hard drive whilst in safemode. It might've developed a few bad sectors.
  20. Windows XP is known for this incompatibility with older software... I recommend you dualboot with an older OS like 98SE and run your older software there instead. This way you shouldn't have any problems.
  21. You may try adding a replacement bootsector to the ISO - one can be downloaded from the MSFN Unattended CD site. If it doesn't have a bootsector, it won't boot.
  22. Then you should report it to Adobe.
  23. Push it higher. Celerons are known to be very overclockable. My Celeron 2.4 is currently running at 3.2 with the stock cooler. A friend of mine has the exact same chip but runs it at 3.8 with a custom-made extra-large heatsink and 120mm fan. 41°C under full load is well below the maximum temperature limit. Get it up to ~60° full load. I believe the maximum temperature for these CPUs is around 70° so you still have plenty of thermal space. Yours can most likely do 3.2 on stock voltage, and probably can go higher. Run Prime95 on it for a few hours to test the stability.
  24. In general, the first thing to be removed is the keyboard. It usually slides in one direction and lifts out after the ribbon cable is disconnected. You will find more screws under the keyboard, but usually at this point the mobo is already exposed. This appears to be an exploded diagram and parts list: http://fileshare.eshop.bg/download.php?fileid=10249 I think this would be the service manual: https://www.synapsenow.com/synapse/data/711...tm240_250sg.pdf Googling helps
  25. The display comes back when you press on the edges? The elastomeric connector strip probably loosened... BTW it looks like this: http://www.zaxisconnector.com/LCD-Connectors.shtml You might be able to fix it by taking it apart and putting a strip of thick paper under the clamping edge of the LCD to push it harder against the connector.
