  1. Alright... thanks for your input!
  2. Antec Performance TX640 case ASUS P5WD2-Premium Pentium 4 650 3.4GHz/800/2M L2 (Stock HS/F) 2x512 Crucial Ballistix 6400 DDR2 1x74gb Raptor Horrible Radeon x300 Gfx (next upgrade) I'm having a tough time on deciding which new HS to get. I have read tons of reviews on many and am almost sure I want to get the Thermaltake Big Typhoon. I'm worried about a couple things with this huge thing though, will it fit in my case w/o a problem? My case does have the heat pipe which measures 130mm wide.... So it should fit, but I'm not sure if the Typhoon is to tall. Don't know if the larger 120mm units @ lower RPM are have more advantages over a 80mm @ higher RPM. Right now at stock speeds I'm running ~40-47C/~55-62C (idle/load) with ambient room temp of around 78F. I'm into distributed computing, SETI, folding... those type of things and since it's been warmer lately I can't even participate anymore w/o CPU temps hitting 60C+. As you can see I'm from Dallas, it's going to start getting quite hot here pretty soon and I'd like to have a chilly CPU. Any suggestions or ideas appreciated. Price range is $100 or under.

  4. What kind of file system and hard drive? How many files are you trying to delete at a time? Defragmented?
  5. Hahaha... makes me think twice about OC'ing my new machine... LOL!
  6. I agree... its the aspect ratio. Sounds like DVD, xvid, dixv or something of the sort. If you can't get power dvd to work with the aspect ratios I'd recommend you use VLC Media Player.
  7. I've ran XP Pro on a 750MHz Dell CPXj for years and it works just fine. I too, only had 128mb RAM with 2 slots. Bought me 2x256mb SODIMM, sped everything up and works great. I also upgraded the HD to a higher RPM to increase speeds as well.
  8. LOL! That's just crazy. I do like the RAMDisk idea on that other machine, imagine the boot times! geek p0rn is right lol!!
  9. I'm with you Rocky619, I've been using SAV Corp for years and fint it to be far more effective and less bloated then the most common AV apps out there.
  10. Yup here too... this version is quick
  11. Agreed. Arctic Silver 5 is your best bet. AS5 @ Newegg
  12. LOL @ travis... hahahahah crack that whip man!
  13. Not sure if you're needing anything else besides a tag/name editor, but as far as editing the actual song itself, adding effects, volume leveling etc.... I would suggest GoldWave.
  14. Try out GetRight. Haven't used it in a long time, but apparently resume is supported.
  15. WinRAR till death... or better overall compression ratios from some other app
