  1. BUMP......... Does anyone out there know a way?!?
  2. I'm trying to convert 40+ Dell Axim X3's running PPC2003 from Brazilian Portuguese into English. The ROM update fails "not compatible with device" I have the right ROM.... I'm not that expereinced with PDA's ... can anyone out there help? Please! TIA
  3. Well thanks for the letdown Aegis! jk Oh well, its on its way, and I'm sure it'll do me fine. No need to have the baddest on the block with the x1900xtx. I have good case cooling, so that hopefully wont be a problem. I'm just hoping my PSU can handle it. I was reading some reviews on it, one guy said the card can use 120+W on its own! Thats insane..
  4. Well... It seems many more people have jumped on this buy after posting the OEM link lol. I had to pay an extra $20 for the Retial version. Now I'm just hoping my Antec 450w PSU can push the power to the beast. Anyone out there know how to go about flashing the x1800xt to x1800xt PE? I've been readin' up on it and I'm confused as to where to get the correct BIOS as well as the correct tool to load the BIOS. Thanks again everyone.
  5. Hmm.... well you all offer some good opintions. I was kind of hoping that this would run Vista whenever it comes out. I was unaware that it would HAVE to be a DX10 card. So, all in all if I get this card I should get about a year and a half of killer gaming experience untill all the newer games come out requiring DX10 as well as vista?
  6. Thats what I was thinking... looks like such a deal. And don't get me wrong I'm not some rich kid with money to blow, but I'd like something that can basically handle anything I could throw at it and have it perform well for a long time.... till the next build in a few years at least. I'm an avid fan of racing games, NFS and the like, love FPS games as well. Like things crisp, clean and fast. Antec Performance TX640B case, 450 Antec PSU... should fit, nuff power?
  7. Well, I would only trust my friends here at MSFN to tell me if my choices are sane or what else out there would be better. I have sumbled upon the SAPPHIRE 100134 Radeon X1800XT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16. Looking at this card going ok... 512MB, 16 Pipes, 625/1500MHz... for 299.99? Is this a 'deal or dud'? All the reviews compliment it highly and say that the performance isn't all that much lower than the x1900xtx. What do you think? Need thoughts, opinions, other ideas. Thanks MSFN. Newegg Link
  8. So when you say drop it to a drive... exaclty how would I do this? Copy the file structure from within Ghost Explorer (not sure if this is possible) and then paste it out to an HD somewhere?
  9. I need to be able to open and edit a .gho image of Win XPe which is used on IBM POS terminals. Does anyone here know of a way to do this? The Ghost explorer allows viewing of the files, but does not allow deletion or addition. I need to replace some drivers in an existing image so I can get it to boot on another model machine. I have no other options and cannot remake the image. Please HELP! TIA
  10. Thanks so much... will possibly try rolling this code tomorrow to 25 clients. Will let you know. Any other options are also welcome.
  11. Hey all I'm looking for some help with a tough question. I'm trying to find a way to disable all Windows default sounds through either a GPO object or through a possible login script which yields a reg edit (or something else?). This needs to be done at the user level, when they login, not on just the local machine. I'm hoping to either have a GPO set to do it or a one time login script. I've seen some tips here and there within the Unattended forum, but nothing concrete nor in an enterprise networked environment. Any help would be GREATLY appriciated!
  12. IrfanView worked wonders thanks guys!! The only thing is the files are huge! 4 pages = 43mb. May have to play around with the settings or seomthing. Thanks again.
  13. Thank you to all who have replied. I will try and figure it out tomorrow, although I know for a FACT that the included software doesn't save into .tif (one f not two [.tiff]) it actually has no option for either. I will check out Omni Page as 03GrandAmGT suggested. I just can't belive that the included software doesn't have .tif support!!! Thanks again... there must be a way.
  14. I have installed and tested the 3 included apps that came with the scanner and NONE of them have the ability to output into .tif. This scanner isn't even mine, its for a lady at my work who needs to scan multipage documents directly into a .tif file. The reason why it has to be .tif is because she is uploading these images to chasereports.com and the only file format they accept is a .tif file. This person is for the most part quite computer illiterate and the renaming, paint, blah blah isn't going to work for the long term. "According to Kodak's website your scanner can directly output to tiff. It also only lists 3 output formats, so something is false here. huh.gif " I'd like to see thatt page b/c I've looked everywhere in the included software and cannot find .tif anywhere.
  15. I'm in need of an app that will turn scanned multipaged documents into 1 .tif file. Never have used to many scanners nor scanning software. The scanner is a Kodak i40, and the included software basically sucks. Well, I suppose I shouldn't say that, but it supports probably 30 formats and not one of them is .tif. Right now what we're having to do is scan into .jpeg and rename to .tif. Each page = 1 .jpeg which means a lot of renaming and hassle. Any help out there would be appriciated.
  16. Check MAC filtering and Bandwidth quotas on the router.
  17. Why would you have to login to your router to use the internet? Just run your cable modem to the uplink port of your router, plug both machines into ports on your router, configure DHCP in the router settings, configure DHCP within the TCP/IP of your Windows LAN connections and you should be fine.
  18. Are you in a Server 2000/2003 environment? And if so why are you having to authenticate everytime you want to use the internet or any application using TCP/IP? Once logged into your domain you should have no problems. I would consult with your admin.
  19. You call 3-4gigs a 'huge music collection' ? Muahaha... Apparenlty w/o modding there is no such way that I know of or can find to copy music in .mp3 directly top the 360. Just buy some more HD space and use windows media connect, which comes with XP SP2 to stream music. Check google man! G/L
