    USB KVM

Thats even better tbh! Pretty cool how u can plug 2 usb devices in, and then just have to use 1 usb on the PC..like it. (makes sense with it being USB)

    USB KVM

Cheers silverbullet! Spot on! I just have never seen one! thnks Ive got plenty of DVI convertors, so can solve that no probs. Yeh, by the looks of it, need to buy cables seperatly? Unless anyone knows any that are cheaper wen i get a mac mini, will get that.
  3. (should this go under networking?) right, USB KVM switch? can I get one, i can't seem to find any! Seen one, but dunno if its any good, as its a manufacture ive never heard of. Im looking at getting a Mac Mini, to try out a Mac, but they only have USB keyboard and mice, and my keyboard and mouse is also USB, so wanna be able to link up my current monitor mouse etc to the mac mini...saving space etc. I don't really wanna spend a fortune on one, and remember, live in the UK.
  4. I use ventrilo for gaming comms, I have a Audigy 2 Platinum ex. This sounds weird, but I have my microphone TOTALLY muted, even in record, this way my friends can hear me, but I dont hear myself via my speakers. Just try it, see if it works.
  5. ****! big fotn bud! Check this: http://www.apc.com/tools/ups_selector/index.cfm You may wanna change the region to suit your needs.
  6. its a word document with bullet points
  7. ah i see. No problem, just have to re-install IE7
  8. Ok, i know you said IE7 would be buggy... Anyway, i uninstalled previous XPize to install the latest, thoguht it was best. On both machines I have tested it on, after uninstalling the previous version of XPize, IE7 went balls up. In Help > About it still was IE7, but it looked like IE6, no tabs, forward backward buttons etc IE6 style...strange So i installed XPize 4.6 Beta 2, then went onto Windows Update, told me I could install IE7, so i did...rebooted, did XPize reloader it reloaded about 12 IE files, rebooted, all was fine. :S Anyone else get this problem?
  9. remove of previous versions required b4 instaling?
  10. Just think of the impact that would have on the industry...not likely gonna happen at all. Anyway, I have had to fone them up sometimes, got through straight away, also isnt it sommit like after 6 months u can re-activate over the net?
  11. no issues my end, at work and at home... just adding my pennys worth
  12. Leadtek arent a bad manufacture, and the 7950 is a kick a** card ive heard. Never heard of specific problems with leadtek cards, sp yeh, go for it. I like cards by BFG and XFX, each to his own You probbably will get some peoples saying, go ATI...but go with wat you want, there is always the constant battle between ATI and NVIDIA.

    Happy new year

5 days in Happy new year Xpizers!
  15. hehe, just a shame symantec dont see it! I hate going round peoples houses to setup wireless networks, internet etc, and find NIS pre-installed by the manufacture....EVIL!
  16. Instead of me typing loads of wat you can do, check this nice article: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_...s/wxprcons.html
  17. Well, atm I dunno if you will get the answer YOU are lookign for. At the end of the day, its a license agreement, clearly stating it shouldn't be used in a buisness environment, pretty much the same with all free software, FREE for PERSONAL use. But hey, it aint my program, see what Nuhi says about it from his viewpoint. And the license in nLite says: Note: AT THIS TIME... so who knows.
  18. Actually I said it tis true i mentioned ACPI annnnyways....any luck bonnie?
  19. Had a very similar problem with my bros comp after upgrading its ram and hard drive. I had to change the ACPI power setting in the bios. I cant rememeber the exact settings without looking, but I had to change it to sommit like VSync/Blank Or sommit, will look wen i get home. After that the comp turned off wen it was suppose to and didnt restart and load windows again. Hopefully this would solve your problem, the settign might be different from board to board, but it worked for me. Do you know what motherboard is in your computer?
  20. Ace! Nice one jcarle! Thanks. Now I understand them a lot more
  21. i see. Cause ive seen it as Dual Cores, not Dual CPU's...ive never seen a decent technical document explaing the operation of Dual Cores. To me, its Dual Cores, under the one frequency, not 2 CPUs with their own frequency. So maybe ive been lookign at it wrong, but I would like to see documentation or a program that displays the individual Core speeds, so that i can for myself see the core speeds. But ont he sence of AMD and INTEL dual cores..AMD seem to have put there foot in it, as for some reason there L2 Cache dosnt exceed 1MB, and some of their Dual Cores only have 512mb....wats going on there? no wonder INTEL is winning the race!
  22. Yep, I moved away from Norton Security a few months back, went to NOD32. Norton just got extremely annoying, I will say they used to be good (many years ago), but now they just hog your system resources majorly!

    RAM

Personally, if you wanted to upgrade to more RAM...i wouldnt go with GEIL. Go with someone like Crucial, OCZ... but thats me BUT, if your set on GEIL Out of the 2, in your sig and the new GEIL....go with the new stuff, more memory over the only slightly slower clock speeds would be better imo.
