  1. Out of them, I've only heard of Elxier, so I would say that one, have used them before now.
  2. Don’t look more, you got it . Yip, gd choice.
  3. oh dear...lol
  4. Well, wat I back up is my entire user settings: which is located: C:\Documents and Settings\*username* Also, view all files and folders: Tools > Folder oprions > View Tab > Select "Show Hidden files and folders" So you can view all folders within the username's directory. Thats what I do anyway.
  5. What I woud do personally, is format and re-install windows, best option, less stress and means no possible instabilaty.
  6. lookin forward to those screenshots!
  7. Well, forums rules say: 5. Images in signatures shall NOT exceed a total of 300x100 and 80kb. So, if your image was 450x34, then its bigger than 300... Correct me if im wrong with that...
  8. True, suppose noise doesn't really bother me anyways
  9. Have you checked task manger to see if any processes are using more CPU than they should?
  10. Nice move on the coolermaster case, I got the Wave master case, superb for cooling. and not THAT noisey. I got the 2 fans at the front (came supplied) one fan at rear (supplied) and I put a fan at the top (optional) as you can remove the audio connection and put a fan grill their, as we know heat rises, good place for a fan. And the 2 front fan cool the hard drives nicely. see my pics: Pic 1 As you can see with this next pic, my Zalman fan lines up perfctly with my exhaust fan. Pic 2 Pic 3 A friend luckily had a coolermaster side panel they didnt want! Looks very nice as you can see here. Pic 4 So yeh, i love this case, and ll my fans are linke dup to fan controllers, which helps wen you dont need the fans on as much, but as i said, isnt really THAT noisey. Note: these pics are a few months old, I now have a Zalman VGA cooler on my graphics card, which helps to push the air up to the cpu and then out the back of the case, as the zalman VGA cooler has some meaty CFM.
  11. haha, nice one!
  12. lol, sadly, i have some input to that
  13. I did have a major problem with my Ballistixs, same speed etc as i got in now, major errors, MAJOR BSOD's...as the company I bought it from are a bunch of *insert bad word here* I foned up Crucial support, sent it to them with RMA, and had a brand new replacemt set WITHIN 24hours, which I have had in my system for...well, a while now, and have had NO problems wat-so-ever. Maybe they fixed it? I did have a 1GB set of ballistixs before I got my PC4000 2GB set, and had no probs with that either. In fact I sold that on ebay when I upgraded to my current set, and had no come back on that either. Personally, I don't see a difference in performance when it comes to RAM, only if you wanna overclock it - thats when it shows stabability I feel, cheap ram is CRAP and nasty, but makes like OCZ, Corsair, Crucial - the big boys, I havent seen a MAJOR performace difference apart from overclocking stabability. (I could be wrong, but thats my experience, I just go for Crucial as their support is ace, and there stuff is nice and I don't overclock much now) I did find out that the problem before with ballistixs had sommit to do with voltage, not sure exactly wat though.
  14. Eh?? Symantec is the coproration, Norton is the product... LiveUpdate is the program used for all Norton products, so it could be Anti-Virus, Ghost, Syetm works.....etc anyway, try doing a uninstall and reinstall, see if that fixes it. However, if it is Anti-Virus, considering something like NOD32, which is brill and wat I use, also voted most used Anti-virus here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=70783 A lot better than Norton Anti-Virus, which i used to use.
  15. DVDx, superb dvd capturing software! Captures it to formats like AVI, good for powerpoint. I use it a lot for presentations as well. http://www.free-codecs.com/DVDx_download.htm
  16. I use Pinnacle Studio...not free, but **** brilliant!
  17. I've been trying to work out if theres a way to make JUST my inactive windows transparent. I dont wanna use some othe program as they just waste resources, I have looked at my NVIDIA control panel but couldnt work out if it was possible. I know you can get transparent windows wen dragging, but not anything else. Anyone know how I can do this? (if at all) I just wanna have the INACTIVE windows transparent, not the taskbar, or active window etc.
  18. And if found out have your accoutn locked, suspended from college, total access restictions...many different concequences of trying to be clever.
