Well, after using Sygate for years, and finally thinking that cause they were taken over by Norton...its time for an upgrade So, as most the board say ZA, im giving it a trial, and was wondering if people go for Pro, or stick with free basic?

i used to use norton all the time, back in 2005 and earlier, after that it just took over ur system, stole ur resources, preveneted games from working...so never again for me.

Maleko, can you try with a different PSU? cheers for the replies guys! well, i did a system format, as i needed to do one anyway, and used my original XP CD (not using my nlite cd) to re-install. All seems fine, except i had a bsod when loading some programs, i was loading about 6 apps at once, so may have been be rushing then had one from my display driver nv4_disp.dll bsod when chaging settings in a game. although random bsod's dont seem to be happening, only have happened when i was doing something this time. now, i have been curious if my psu was powerful enough now, 500w antec truepower powering: 8800GTS, Opeteron 175, x3 hard drives, x2 rom drives, floppy drive, 4 case fans and lots of usb devices. so maybe that is an option, unfortunately i cant test another psu, id have to buy one. all my drivers are WHQL, and all latest. oh, and nothing is overclcoked now, took it all back to stock.

Ok, this to me is not making any sense, and proving highly annoying... I've been getting random BSOD's in XP, some are the IRQL not less than or equal too error, soem are just blank BSOD etc etc. So, took my pc into work with me today and to tests on it all day, leaving them runnign etc. I did mem tests, cpu stress tests, grapphic test, using programs like, orthos, memtest86, 3dmark, pcmark. leaving some of them running a few hours. NO errors, NO BSOD... just went to load up a game, and just after the EA logo...BSOD... im totally lost...is it just my OS thats gone cok up? As there is no consistancy to them. I can run a game for hours and not have a problem...sometimes a BSOD can occur when my pc is doing nothing, or just playing music...SO random.

after updating to the beta drivers for my gfx card, been able to run it on a mixture of high and medium settings at 1280x1024, no different between dx9 and dx10, lol. good game, good fun! was getting anything between 18 and 45 FPS, drops a lot when it loads up the sceenery or loads the NPCs. but overall,. not bad, just a rediculous engine again! liek far cry was when it first came out.

i have a 1gb pen drive, just for general file tansfers etc, always find them useful!

Ok, atm my specs: Dual Core Opteron 939 @ 2.4GHz 2GB PC4000 Ram 8800 GTS 320MB sooo, im in 2 minds atm to go SLI or not, i have a true x16 SLI board (ASUS A8N SLi Premium) so, all ill need is another 88GTS and a new PSU, just want that lil bit more performace in the new games, and especially crysis when that comes out! soooo, opinions?

instaled it on my vista boot, worked fine, no performace issues in comparison to XP servers online atm are naff!

atm that is the unfortunate deal, except if u buy an ATI card with the black box, thats just EP2, TF2 and Portal...which i was able to get off a friend but yeh, major markettign scam to buy orange box, and have to get HL2 AGAIN etc. maybe they will release them all seperately once they have been officially released...who knows.

Well, been using NOD32 for a year now, just renewed it, superb, doesnt bother you, runs lightly in the background,

well, perfect disk for me has gone through the window. thsi month came my time to re-new my support, so was only gonna cost a few quid to re-new it, BUT whats this? they now dont take debit cards or paypal, and as i dotn own a credit card i cant update it! lol so will be changing by the looks of it.
