  1. right, i some how got the sound to work, not quite sure how though heh it just like came back after restartin the pc I still have the annoying buzzing though... any way of gettin rid of it? thanks
  2. i just tested out my speakers with my ipod and they r fine so that must mean that my sound card needs replacing right? Thanks for all the help guys! ^_^
  3. i dont think i made any changes... what happend was one night i turned my pc on (they were working fine earlier that day) then a buzzing just came thru the speakers, now it wont go away >_< I also tried updating my driver but still no luck...
  4. I have just replaced the speakers with some different ones and the same noise is happening... Anyy other advice as to what it could be?

  6. Hey all, The problem is, when my speakers are not being used they give off a fast buzzing (sounds like a machine gun) noise and when music or sound is played, it becomes muffled. I have tried plugging speakers into my computer but it also happens through them. is it a possible problem with the sound card? Please help, THANKS B)

I have just been through the boring task of formatting my hdd but now i find that i cannot hear anything through speakers! drivers for the card are installed and everything, my computer detects the sound card but when i try playing music, nothing comes out. i checked the speakers and they work through an mp3 player but just not through the computer. I have also checked out all of the settings for the speakers etc. and they are fine Any advice? its really buggin me!
  8. i wouldnt know how to do that to be honest, im no expert on computers srri my sound card is Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit (if it helps) and i apparently have an audio driver on my pc called Legacy Audio Driver from looking at my device manager Any suggestions on what needs doin or anythin? please?   11. no, i didnt partition my hard drive, i was just following the advice i was given from my friend i tried formatting my hard drive but says i cannot format because the os system is installed there, how do i format my drive? (sorry again, real n00b at this ) Thanks

I installed longhorn on my computer on the same hdd as xp. what i want to do is basically just uninstall it because i cannot boot into xp any more, it is always just longhorn. im not exactly brilliant with computers so any type of help would be much appreciated (as long as i understand what you're saying ) Thanks
