u can order the sp2 cd to m$. is free. and then i recommend slipstreaming it. also u can add the post sp2 updates. and for all this use nlite.

my advice is to slipstream using nlite.....and then fresh install.

first of all please read the forum rules.... if u have a problem u have to post it just once. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=18408 then ie7 is still beta 1 and is FULL with bugs. so dont use it yet. at least wait for beta 2 or better for the final release.

disconect the drives u dont wanna install windows. and then try installing...

then it means u have to rebuild the boot sector for the dvd. i can recommend nlite. it creates a .iso file which can be written to dvd.

try slipstream sp2 into xpcd and please forget about ie7b1.... still tooooooooooo many bugs....

did u choose boot sequence from bios?

while installing or after nothing big happen. is just an active x that u install. of course u have to install so u can run windows update. even if u disable it so your wu can work u still have to install it ( the legit one or ............).

ya but without KB891122 and kb893240. KB891122 contains windows media format 9.5 which is already installed by wmp10 without hotfixes and KB893240 is superseeded by kb904555
