i hve 2 questions first question is the title then my vmware workstation (build: 5.5-1.19175) doesnt working with the 64 bit OSes my machine is P4 531 (prescott) processor runnig xp pro x64 fine but vmware in it doesnt. so i dwnlded the "64bit-guestos-checker" frm vmware it said not supportedand refer vmware.com/info?id=152 i found nothing special but it said EM64T support is Experimetal is that the reason i couldnt run 64bit guest ? That leaded me 2 the first question bcoz AMDs processors are supported (not Expreimetal)

Try 2 upgrade or reinstall the drives firmware try the mfg. site or rpc1.org 2 get the firmware and the firmware flasher

No such problems just extract 888111 using -x switch then integrate the the inf's in the XPSP2 folder using nLite driver integration install the Realtek driver provided with m/b cd in RunOnce/RunOnceEx method BTW i've i915GAV m/b with ALC860 codec and this method works very fine

Nothing new Since after the intoduction of MCE 2002 (along with SP1) M$ provided an overlay image for respective OS (home,Pro,MCE,TPC) in ntoskrnl so depeding on the version u install on booting it show respective version name that means there are atleat two images in the ntoskrnl ,one shows the windows logo with written Windows XP then the overlay it shows the respective version superimposed over that image i found that there were around 9 images showing the version aka Home Edition Professional Media Center Edition Tablet PC Edition .net .net Server .net Web Edtion .net Server Family i think these are the names

using Green machines tutorial to make .NET framework 1.1 with SP1 SFX install it silently frm SVCPACK.INF then in GuiRunOnce or RunOnceEx add KB900325.exe /q/n/z/o so after the final reeboot RU2 get installed --i got working i suppose this would be a better way 2 install ru2 unattended

Nop itsn't working at all i tried seperateley and simultaneously with WMP and winamp playing music it still say no audio found

i hav 915GAV m/b so the Intel HD audio the windows dancer says no audio found and in detail it says (Notification area Popup ) an err occured while detectig sound but my prev s/m with 845WN m/b no problem for the dancer at all is it due to HDA

i thin kthe Blue setup screens and texts are coming frm the I386\System32\smss.exe & NTDLL.DLL winnt.exe has nothing to do with it it just copies the install files in DOS and reboot the PC then the setup (textmode) is handled by SMSS.exe and NTDLL.dll check them with reshacker i havnt tried to edit those , sometimes may work ??

To get HD Audio working i did this: extract the KB888111 hotfix then using nLite in Driver integration include an inf in the commonfiles folder of the hotfix after that u can the setup any time after installing windows to get the additional Realtek Sound effects etc

since .net framework is available to x64 platform i may be done but however it will break the EULA with M$ try to run this with the "medctr.inf" frm MCE with MCE disc "rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHInfeSection Freestyle 128 medctr.inf" if nothing happens look inside the MedCtrOc.log in WINDOWS directory the main problem is that MCE require PID to start with 365 ie XXXXX-365-XXXX..... other wise it will not star installation try and checkout it works or not

what are the CLSID of various components like Run,Help & Support,My Pictures etc so that i can specify the icons for each in the .theme file itselt as like Mycomputer or RecycleBin
