Yea u can get xp x64 and boot with the cd if err get the latest m/b update OOO , first check ur m/b that it support EM64T if yes proceed , if no RET back and stick with ur 32 bit OS or go for m/b upgrade

The location of installation doesn't make any differance in PE (program Executable) if the PE is a x64 or 64 bit on it run as 64 bit app by XP if it is 32 bit PE it will run as 32 bit PE if u want know how the PE is running open Taskmanager and look the "Processes" tab for 32 bit apps an "*32 " extension is give at the end of it name ,it indicates the app is an 32 bit app. To Dale 5605: it is an general statement and not specifically for xp x64 *nix variants like Linux ,FreeBSD ,etc can run 8bit to 64 bit apps while running in 64bit mode

Now it make trouble bcoz MC will not run on XP Home (i think so !!!) it require XP Pro (or may 2k3) plz check it in "iexbeta" forum , i think the hint i got was from that forum

the program is very handy to get the bootfiles why dont u add x64 support ?

which is quite logical OemPreinstall meanig u r installing it as an OEM win xp cd like one which available with the DELL PC or any OEM an OEM should have all the drivers for the system so it doesnt accept F6 driver all the TEXT MODE drivers should be specified in winnt.sif M$ give correct guidelines for that in ref.chm thats why u getting err

I hav intel 915GAV m/b having Realtek 860 codec, ( intel Azalia HD audio) on installing x64 xp the sound doesnt work deice manager shows a problem in microsoft UAA HD Driver but xp 32bit works perfectly Why ? x64 says the driver couln't be initialised properly is there any workaround

mce get installed only when the CD key is a MCE key & u should have the 'cmpnents' Dir in the root of u r iso & it should contain proper mce folder arragement and netfx

But Why? my HDD is SATA Segate Barracuda 80GB the board supports 4 SATA1 ports , since SATA1 is capable of delivering 150Mb/s why not UDMA6 and only UDMA5
