i wanna make a pgm (VB 6 ) 2 capture (display) the video frm a camera connected to the TV tuner card. Then in the form i have 2 display the video frm the tv tuner. Then how to save a frame of the displaying image ? in which format is it possible ?? my idea is t osave it with MS Access DB , is it possible?? or some format that just i create ???? thnx 4 all

I've some movies & Vieos in AVI format (Video:XVID, Audio:Ogg Vorbis) with subtitles in .srt format So which s/w can make DVD-Video from these avis with menus, chapters etc...

if u havin the cd images ,try to copy all the cd files to the DVD root and overwrite the repeating files then do a trial on a DVD-rw am unsure of it

Try this Get the DVD image of the Fedora core Keep the DVD structure as in the image to the root of u r DVD the set the cd shell option to boot to isolinux.bin in the isolinux directory

I think it is like the MCE and TPC with winXP U just have to put the R2 cd contents to the w2k3 with SP1 Disc try,may it work

What about Win64 APIs ?? is there any ?? @Daemonforce About Windows installation time It always need moooore time 2 install such a big (Vista is abt 3GB) os compared 2 win xp (~550MB) But why windows setup is very slow compared 2 Linux ?? I install win xp in 20 mins ,end up with < 1 GB hdd consumed (of course nLited) Then i install SuSE Linux 10 OSS in 30 to 40 mins and it trasferres abt 6GB So inherantly windows setup is slow

Control Panel --> System For windows XP x86 it willbe only Professional (version 2002) For win xp x64 it will show x64 Professional (Version 2003 ) That's it !!!!!

That is not the advantage of x64 platform it can handle HUGE amount, very more than the small 4GB about 2^63 bytes of memory however nos OS has support for that amt. (xp x64 support upto 128GB of memory only) so if u build x64 app, u can see the diff. b/w having able to use full 4GB (x86 app) and 128GB (under x64 xp , & may more in linux)

Almost all uxtheme patcher working great Are u sure thar it is THEME or VISUAL STYLE if it is VISUAL STYLE it will come up only in Appearance tab of Display properties If it theme it should be in C:\windows\Resources\Themes folder in Resources folder there should be a folder named as the theme name (.theme extension) --inside the folder a visual style file in same name (.msstyle extension) --there should be a folder named shell ----inside the shell folder sometime multiple folder with shellstyle.dll file This is the minium req. of a working theme so check it out

my 2k3 std edition cd has the folder tree that lukar told in the root of the cd does that mean i can install ee or we using my std en cd ??

in the srv03 std edition CD (gold) there are some folders in the root with name start frm 3EN* namely 3ENE,3ENW & 3ENS what does this for ?? It has the similar structure of the boot folder imean the $WIN_NT.~BT$ that were created when installing frm hd (upgrade of fresh by running winnt32) what is the use of it ?

The main problem of Windows * with Disk is Fragmatation So MS could make a less fragmenting file s/m like *nix file s/ms and allowing fixed partition for pagefile sothat atleat it willnot be fragmented However it has also the disadvatage of having fixed size pagefile

Untill OEMs build x64 drivers, s/w ppl build x64 versions of x86 apps (evethough almost all 32bit apps works x64 -- it doesnt take the advantage of x64 platform,so x64 s/w required )

Ooops u hav a inel 810 graphic controller it doesnt support 32bit depth dont worry it doesnt matter Actually the 32bit colour depth is 24bit for colour info +8 bit for alpha channel So basically 24bit and 32 bit are the same --only diff by that 8 bit alpha channel it is just for brightness control The 810 chip doesnt hav that alpha channel

so using 2k3 update.sys for win xp will do any update ?

800MB cd is actually 90 min cd for 90min it ca hav max of 791MB no more
