Microsoft named the 64 bit OS as Windows XP x64 or Windows Server 2003 x64 so the application developers too where x64 come from ? the 32 bit intel Arch. is generally termed as "x86" But the newer 64 bit Arch is an extension to the same x86 arch & can run x86 arch apps. comparing x86 & x64 it seems to be a degradation ,isn't it ? so the 64 bit arch should be named "x86-64" bcoz it is an extension to x86 Where did th 86 go?

I have a TV tuner with remote of philips SAA7 xx chip the driver given is for LifeView FlyVideo WDM TV Tuner version:1.3.2040.0 & works with most TV apps like intervideo winDVR, MediaPortal, j river media center etc but Windows MC says tv tuner card is malfunctionig or driver not properly installed Is MC compatible driver is available for the Tuner card ? plz reply

It Depends on the OS u install is u install a 32bit os u can run 16 & 32 bit apps & not 64 bit apps if u install a 64 bit os u can run 16 & 32 & 64 bit apps

Yes u can if u r processor support it ie ur processor need to be P4 541 or 640 or 840 u can refer to the intel site about the processor numbering system

Writing Err ,most probably ,the cd boot image & other files are not written correctly try again, or use nLite to create CD image & burn the image

I tried the PC suite for my phone but it still not detecting the phone over bluetooth i can transfer files from & to the mob thru XP's bluetooth interface but the PC Suite doesn't detecting it at all

when u slipstream mce2002 with win xp xp2 u get MCE 2005 wmp 10 comes only with mce 2005 so in order to include wmp10 searche the forum or unattened site now Windows xP Professional CD2 is the 2nd cd of MCE its only a name dont worry about it . "mcdftreg.inf" is in the medctr.cab file of cmpnents\i386 folder of MCE CD2 if u not insert CD2 it willnot install "Media Center" so u get Win XP SP2 Professional

no i dont mean to open ie window i need to open windows explorer window of the cd root

How can i run two apps from a CD through autorun? first is an EXE 2nd is the explorer window of the CD ie browse the CD i want to do it through autorun.inf file when insering the CD

Yes u can nLite CD1 as any other Pro edition nLite does Next if u want to install MCE unattended then make room for the MCE files in ur UA CD ~180MB copy 'cmpnents' folder from CD 2 to u r UA CD root u can delete the tabletpc folder if u not install tabletpc then in [components] section of winnt.sif add medctr = on netfx =on and provide u r MCE key in ' Product Key ' value it will install mce silently

copy 'cmpnents' folder of CD2 to the root of u r DVD root. ie along with the I386 folder. One Thing to note that WinXP SP2 CD is theoretically the CD1 for MCE 2004 & MCE2005 . Actually it not However u can install MCE 2005 with Win SP2 CD It willnot install plus and sonic components an WMP 10 A SP2 cd install only WMP9 only

U shouldn't Remove netfx Dir of cmpnents folder. It should be copied along with mediactr bcoz it provides the .NET framework for Media Center bcoz MC is a.NET app
