  1. I appreciate the help, but I integrate my stuff a different way. I am actually looking for the .exe file and not the .cab file. Anyone have the link?
  2. Anyone have a download link for the latest WGA Validation Tool .exe file? KB892130 version 1.7.0069.2
  3. The previous link for KB892130 was for the old version of it. Anyone have the link for the downloadable install file for KB892130, version 1.7.0059.1?
  4. Yes, thanks for the link. Now, do you by chance have the link for the new KB905474? It showed up on my Microsoft Update list a few days ago.
  5. Thanks, but actually I was looking for the actually install file for KB892130. I'd like to integrate it with my unattended DVD. But now I see that KB905474 is on the update list instead of KB892130. I'm now officially confused. Can anyone explain this?
  6. Anyone have the direct download link for the install file of KB892130? The new version, 1.7.0059.1 that is.
  7. I couldn't help but read this and wonder. I wanted to be able to install my SATA drivers during the text-mode setup of WinXP MCE. I wanted to have them installed from the CD and not the floppy. I have to do this because my C: drive is on a SATA port. So, I found this... http://www.beginnerspc.com/articles.cfm?ar...eid=1703&page=5 This will automatically load your SATA drivers instead of you having to push F8 to load the third party SATA drivers. I didn't test it, yet. I'm a little scared to because the instructions talk like you only have one driver when in fact, I have two. I have the nVidia nForce 4 SATA/RAID. In my txtsetup.oem it says that I must use both drivers. So, I put both in and will give it a try. Anyone else had any luck with this sort of thing?
  8. This is just a thought. I've read through the forums and found nothing on it. Did anyone every try or does anyone know if it is possible to integrate the MCE extensions into Windows XP 64-bit edition? My friend has Windows XP MCE 2005 and is using an Athlon FX processor. He managed to somehow purchase a copy of XP 64-bit. He wants the benefits of 64-bit, yet also wants to keep MCE. Is it possible to integrate or at least use MCE on XP 64-bit?
  9. Thanks! Now, must last question is this... What is the KB number for the Update Rollup 2 fix? Or where can I download it? I'm not talking about Update Rollup 2 itself. I need the extra fix for it.
  10. This may be a dumb question for some people since I am new to this forum. I understand that MCE 2005 is XP Pro only with the MCE components installed. I know that all critical and recommended updates for XP Pro also apply to MCE 2005. What I want to know is... Does anyone have a list of the updates specificly meant for MCE 2005 that don't apply for XP Pro beyond those updates that apply for both MCE 2005 and regular XP Pro? For example, most critical and recommended updates apply for both, but Update Rollup 2 applies to mainly MCE 2005 and won't show up in the Microsoft Update list for XP Pro.
  11. Hey, thanks! I appreciate it. Now, do you have any idea how to make MCE install 1.1 rather than 1.0? Or that is an impossible feat?
  12. I, too, would like to know how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Update: Apparently, the contents of the DOTNETFX folder are that of .NET Framework 1.1. Yet, when you install MCE, it only has 1.0 installed. I guess Microsoft was nice and wanted to include 1.1 for you to install on your own after the initial installation. I still would like to know how to make MCE install 1.1 rather than 1.0.
  14. Yes, I would like to know a solution to this as well. I see that there is a DOTNETFX folder on CD1 but yet there is a netfx.cab on CD2 in the I386 folder in the netfx folder under the cmpnets folder. From what I hear, the one on CD2 is neccessary for MCE to install. I don't think the DOTNETFX folder on CD1 is needed. So, this brings me to what I was thinking. I used WinZip to extract the netfx1.cab from the .NET Framwork 1.1 setup file. I looked inside the netfx.cab file on CD2 and inside the netfx1.cab from the .NET Framwork 1.1 setup file. The netfx.cab file has a bunch of files in it. BUT, the netfx1.cab has the same files but they are all renamed. As if the setup file renames them while being installed. I don't know how we could do this, but this may be the answer. If anyone knows anything, please let us know.
