r u trying to mount the image in WinPE 2.0 ? i also got same message wen i try to mount an image in winpe i can even apply an image to hd and tried sucessfully with XP it seems that u can do all wim functions except mounting in winPE if u r in full os (XP or Vista) it is possible i tried with both WinPE and WinRE can sombdy give an explanation for this ??

with new release of infs, the ones in sp folders are newer than the other out side the sp folder

i didnt made a sysprep.inf idid was sysprep -factory reboot sysprep -audit reboot dont reset activation generate new sid sysprep -reseal reboot went to vista and open cmd imagex /compress maximum /config myconf.ini /capture c: h:\xppro.wim "XP Pro" "customised XP" myconf.ini excludes \boot dir and \bootmgr bu on deployment i got windows message: setup isnot complete what does it mean ?? btw i didntcreated winbom.ini in c:\sysprep

check the exact device id in inf with us system spec then u can add them or not however it desnt cause any conflict with windows setup as it select the most appropriate inf containg the device in u r system

i always install xp 2 C:\ so making xp wim without sysprep with all users setup and conf. made re applying to c:\ willnot caus any probz isn't ??

what if i dont do a sysprep ?? i just capture my fully configured xp install on c: drive and deploy it to my machine at later time is sysprep is really nacessary ??

i m not a commercially oriented progammer niether a core programmer but AFIK m$ had implemeted lots of fuctions to .NET platform making the vey useful for programmer due to easy availability of pre coded procedures and cleasses but the problems with the coders is that they doesnt really care abt these and write their own procedures the makes deviation in code nad make it inefficient

vista install is very different from XP OEMs doesnt need RunOnce at all they can create master install with all required apps,confs & OOBE conf they they can build a wim from it and deploy the wim Nowhere a run once came in place, M$ proposed WIM based deployment and not with runonce

thats all about commanline switches/parameter it may be a switch that need to be manually set (like XPs noexecute=Optin) but other switches like nx, pae seems to work in RTM

but i seems firefox too have some ie core related issues i cannot get firefix gui, only the process is running(infer from taskmgr) only sucess with opera the problem with opera is that i doesnt support some pages with full accessibility (eg. Gmail,M$ connect)

why disabled if it can be removed ? that would be a waste of ram and HDD i m tryinh 2 get smthing for it as intel refused to build driver for my gma900 hope nuhi will soon add it 2 vLite

REASON::: 512 MB memory Bcoz firefox and star office are memory hungry vista alone require abt 350+ memory (abt 3 mins after bootup on desktop) firefox ~70 staroffce ~50 or more (it uses java too) u dont specified abt grphics card if it is onboard it also take shared memory

no , i tried it nlite window will not pop up if i install 1.1 also i works correctly

put some resolutions above 800x600 say 1024x768 or more with 32bit

i want complete unattended except for the disk partitioning and partition selection so wat should i use ?

i can run vlite perfectly on my xp it has .net framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed u need .net framwork 1.1 and 2 to run nite or vlite

from vista open cmd type "bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on" and "bcdedit /set oslnointegritychecks on" to disable driver signing check on every boot

but Opera has many compatibility issues with many sites i cannot use chat enabled gmail on opera, etc...

nlite patches the "sfcfiles.dll" or "sfc_os.dll", isn't that causing it ??

just mount the iso in daemon tools start install u should have more the 3 gb space on c: drive and 10 gb for the installation partition
