DVD has compatibility issue , dvd structure need to be at least 1BG of data to be written ( i saw some nero option to comply that - Nero 7) Then to generate udf file system just add "-udf" to extra option in nLite(mkisofs option) EDIT: nlite 1.2 allows direct udf structure creation

that seems little weird leave it watever windows do, once installed go to Computer managemnt Console Select disk management umount all partitions including optical and usb storages. by Selecting "Change drive letter and paths" remove exisiting drive letter so all the drive letters will be free (except c: drive , u cant unmount it) Then select the parition u want to change the drive letter and assign new drive letter accordingly dont 4get the optical drives

VLK, Retail,OEM etc are detemined by the setup media files (OEMBIOS.*,setupp.ini,PIDGEN.DLL and "Product Type" key in txtsetup.sif,setupre.hiv) once installed setup creates various confs in registry according to these Tweaknt/NTswitch chages them apparently "Windows Activation" check routine in winlogon verifies and locks these setting at every logon. A VLK system need no activation, all others need that. So converting VLK to any other need the system to be activated. This checks by winlogon fails and u cannot logon. To solve this either us a Retail version or a crack (ILLEGAL) to bypass winlogon check. PS: TweakNT is considered as a Warez (MSFN W2K3 to workstation guide) if xpconv also do the same it too.

the config.sys,msdos.sys,autoexec.bat files are 0 byte length files are created by XP for dos compatibilty real conf goes to config.nt,autoexec.nt as shodan said

i always install xp as fresh frm the nlite build i create, it is clean (working), updated, and fully customized (drivers, etc) i really want to get rid of the message "Press F6 If u want to .... I did removed the "Press F2 to run automted system recovey" (as i never do that) by putting DisableAsr=1 in [setupdata] of TXTSETUP.SIF (got frm XP Home's txtsetup.sif) is there any way to remove Press F6 ????

Some msi installations goes automatically like havin /qn switch present and donot showing their window while the install progresses and show up only when user input required. i didnt put any switches for them (just duble click) which include Nero 7 VirtualPC 2004 (once they were showing the full install pages, not now) my xp is nlited (xpsp2) with updates upto june 2006

We are only have a License to use M$ Windows by EULA they hav full power to control THEIR OS how to work on OUR MACHINE Does this give them an indirect License (by us) to SHUTDOWN OUR MACHINE ?? (even havin valid license) ?? Or there is any clause in EULA ?? PS: Due to (Feared of) M$ licensing Issues our college shifted frm XP,2K server to RHEL 4 WS & AS for abt 500+ PCs History: using windows wich havin internet and public access, defintely require an antivrus it required same no. of license frm Norton (yearly) which college was used. + office (XP ) suite == too much of cost. and liabilty + too much difficulty in havun a CAN and one day, despite of all these the whole (abt 90%) computers were blocked due to virus. thats why college shifted to linux and OOo and had iptables firewall and CAN

Exporer crashes to ordinary users & power users showing msg that The application failed to initialize properly. Error (0x00000022) on my nlited s/m. admin account works normally (i xpized the i386 and then installed xpize after installation of XP and then Vista Transformation pack 5) later i removed vtp 5. no problem till here after 5 days the problem started
