I got error "Registry file not found, Report error" while building and i removed everything possible with vlite got blank screen after first reboot and thereafter I didint used 5744 or up ( used 5600) didnt used vmware 5.5.3 (used 5.5.2)

u better try to install it with some addon packs or from svcpack.inf evethough it is there, it meant only for mce 2004 and tpc2005(it is included by sp2) i tried many ways, and finally exhauseted, as it get installed only with mce or tpc

So inorder to have a recovery partition, i hav to reserve one of the precious 4 primary partitions ??? i usually install/ reinstall OSes randomly and more than 3 oses (XP, Vista, Linux, Mac OS X) So i need 3 primary partitions (the rest one is for extended) means i cant create a rescue partition ???

use BootVistapro or easybcd to change the boot options or use bcdedit manually to disable driver signing

I did it. But then i had to waste 1.5GB of my HDD all the backup "MSOCache" => 459 MB (original beta2) and the patches backup in C:\windows\Installer => 1.02GB (msp files and configs) So if the patches were applied before install then it would cost abt 500+ or something for MSOCache folder only, isn't it ??

I cannot have more than 4 different *types* of OS becoz of the 4 primary partition limitation as i hav only one HDD ( why is such limitation ???, 512 byte mbr ?) with 1 primary windows partition i boot XP, XP x64,2k3, Vista need another primay partition otherwise (if in logical) it remap C: drive linux dont need any primary partition if u use GRUB so i install Ubuntu, SuSE & Fedora,debian Then with another primary HFS+ use Mac OS X the rest 1 primary partiton for any OS => for testing (if available -when vista installed in logical) so total abt 8+

is it possible to do the msi patching to patch beta2 by TR by /extract switch to extract both and instead of putting the patches in update directory of beta 2 ???

Thats the problem, Also nlite should have option to move multiple hotfixes in the list. Now, if i select more than one , the Up and Down arrows will grey out So i hav to move on by one

i usually order the hotfixes and addon by date, some show s datain :: dd/MM/yyyy and others :: MM/dd/yyyy (even some M$ hotfixes) so the order of integration cause problems some fails someothers requirements this is a serious issue to be condidered bcoz i got BSOD daily on improper order and no BSOD for one month on correct order !!!

my new nlited install with addon pack for net 1.1(sp1 integrated) and 2.0 (which was working till last build) 2.0 installed sucssfully but the problem is nilte 1.2b not runing on it also xpize setting, not working the error was 0x8002802f (some files unable to register or ..) [SOLVED] The install of .net 1.1 solved by installing Windows installer to 3.1 (hotfix: KB893803.exe) removed 2.0, and all .net files in Microsoft.Net directory installed the hotfix installed .net 1.1 installed 2.0 and nlite and xpize setting workd But one problem persist for msi installs the default mode - full UI act like no UI (it doesnt show any UI unless there require user interaction) all other methods -b (basic UI) works as usual havnt tried other methods - r and explicit f switches i assume this due to Sevice pack messages, anyone knows any dependancy ??? as i removed it by nlite or due to aome other hotfixes ?? i have ~380 hotixes and updates (MS) integrating by nlite so it is hard to find the one causing the error im putting my integration last session with this (i dont used the above update int this session) can anyone help ??
