512MB is Basic requirement Aero is Premium so u need anything >512 MB to have Premium Experience Ofcoz 945 is supported bcoz of u r 512MB ram vista just not enable aero auomatically u hav to force it

HFs can be integrated by WAIK u need imagex to mount the wim then using the app u can directly integrate it as like XP oops, i forgot the exe's name it can be found in the DVd's \sources folder

try appending the same image from the wim (say ultimate) with new name i think the image selection depends on the provided key, the keyfile (pkeyconfig.xrm-ms ....) and the inf\setup.cfg files. when these matches the keyfiles in any image,then the image would be selected this is only my guess the name vLite shows is from the wim properties for each name another idea: change the WIM Description ie, show the image name box in vLite in this manner < name of WIM > - < Description > this allows chaus to know the image without changing the WIM name

1: file transfer time calculation Wat a stupid idea ?? wen i tranfer a 1mb file from 1 partition to other first windows calcuates how much time it takes to do that (might doing some benchmarking every time) after completing the calc it just transfers ha ha ha.... to calculate ~ 1 min + to transfer 1 sec =1min1sec for 1 mb transfer this can be really annoying for large files 2:Horrible Network Connections control panel applet i just want to connect via Dial-up not at all thikin abt file or resource sharing 3:No componet Choices if my s/m is not premium and still vista ready i cant run DVD maker and so on then why it get installed and give the message "This program cannot be run bacuse u dont have XXXXXX harware" 4:Resource Protection with all 5 yrs wat r they doing ?? if they can't , and somby is doing to enhace it, why they protect it ?? 5:Lokdown kernel kernel protection will finally go to a place were cracker will break it put payload it it and fo someone can privent it (like AV makers) unable to do that legally

use bcdedit or some nice gui tools like Vistabootpro or Easybcd to edit bcd store the find the GUID of each OS Entry do this bcdedit /set GUID osdevice partition=C: bcdedit /set GUID device partition=C: for Vista in C: drive and do this bcdedit /set GUID osdevice partition=H: bcdedit /set GUID device partition=H: for LH server

try to boot to ubuntu dvd the gparted in it can extend an NTFS partition

first i have working winPE and winRE WIM on my hdd booting perfectly then i made a dvd image with both these with bcd setup made udf only iso abt 350MB and tried on VPC2007beta i both working correctly as like were in the HDD No probz till here Then i remade dvd image with added data. Now the image is about 4.28GB then i mount i with daemon tools and put the virtual drive for VPC to boot it shows i cannot load \boot\bcd ???? i checked the LBA sector numbers for boot folder files and bootmgr -- they are far at the end my Qn. is is it possible to order the storing of files in the image (and so in DVD) ? ie i specify bootmgr should be written first followed by boot folder then the sources folder can any one help ?? thanx in advance

i have usb bootable bios i had booted same with bartpe, got working the stick is not recognized by diskpart in XP but vista takes it allowing me to do all specfied in the walkthrough but just the problem , it wont boot then i tried Fedora's diskboot.img file to test dd if=/media/fc6/images/diskboot.img of=/dev/sdb did a reboot pressing F10 got the bios boot menu select the stick to boot ....... Fedora's Intall menu is ready on my Desktop Now it is clear that it can boot then why winpe cant ?? now im doing the ramdisk method

FYI oscdimg is same as that of cdimage it can be used with all the possible switches for cdimage too like -j2, -u2, -m, -k, -q, -d

wats is the windows\SxS folder ?? it consumes abt 1.8 GB of my image ?? can the Sidebyside assemblies be reduced ??

i still havnt got it working i even tried bootsect /nt60 m: (m: -stick)

vista could run on a s/m with 256 mb ram if the installer check for 512 mb is removed (like XP for 64) bcoz i could run vista on VM with 250 mb of 512 used also if most of it removed it go well under 2 gb (im running vlited with 2.7gb vista +1.2gb Pagefile+0.9gb hiberfil file = 5gb)

they took 5 yrs to just write the code, so count how many yrs to test nad debug it ??
