  1. 13.5 1030 is much more stable than any of the 13.0 series, I think Dave would agree.
  2. The coincidence is strange, agree? 2044 doesn't run with the aforementioned Trojan scan suggestion, others that are based - do run.
  3. Boomers seem a bit old to be the parents of GenZ. Thank you for bringing it to our attention!
  4. If you read, it even tells which file is damaged, namely it's 360chrome. Why won't you simply tell what exactly you replaced it the .exe file? I mean, I can run any comparison tool, but it will just save time. don't you think?
  5. I run it with all bloat removed, incuding d3d47 and LibGL. Of course no "doctor". Didn't you read the Trojan message? It says "damaged", not "missing".
  6. Most importantly, how would you explain I can run the original 2044 perfectly fine, with or without my starter?
  7. No, I didn't. I had it when I tried to mod the 64-bit version, which is not surprising. I wrote here yesterday, link>, I can run 2036 perfectly fine (with or without my starter). I just don't, it's too bright for me. On the testing Vista PC - no AV. The skin is yours, I ran it as it was supplied (before making the decission whether I like it or not). The grey colour in the error because I use the dark Vista theme from pinterest (it's very common here, on this website).
  8. I can't start the browser, it says I need to check it for Trojan viruses (suggests Trojan scan). All in broken English. Not recommended to run for your "safe".
  9. I had it off, which is done by a couple of clicks in Vista, and you will have an identical XP looking fonts. https://techjourney.net/disable-and-turn-off-cleartype-fonts-in-windows-vista/ In Win7 it's simply impossible to achieve, 7's fonts are ugly and blurry, no matter what you do.
  10. I only use the default fonts, I don't change or install custom fonts, and yes, my video driver is too very old. I have GTX TItan 6GB, it's over a decade old, outdated card of Vista era.
  11. Unfortunately fonts depend on the browser version, not their themes, I had encountered different quality of fonts and levels of brightness from one version to another, that's why I decided to stick with the older versions. From what I remember, 2036 was too oversaturated and bright, with less defined fonts (not sharp). Early 13.5 were good. 13.0.2036.0 simply terrible to my taste. This one, 2044 has less clear fonts than 1030, again to my taste.
  12. Please provide fact checked articles to support your claims. There's a huge difference between reporting to "home" (company) and directly to security services. So don't mix all in one bag. Did you read the article? Or you just saying this to supress any discussions about Kaspersky? The article shows pros and cons, a very balanced and polite article, I'd say. Light on memory on one hand, not recommended to use due to the newly checked facts - on the other. Everyone decides for himself.
  13. Sorry for the delay, Karla, after extensive testings, I'm sticking with your first variant, the fantastic 348.01, for now. Dell 348.17 is overbright. Again, thank you!
  14. Where did you see Supermium declared itself freely editable open source? Link please.
  15. Wouldn't exactly classify as "Software for Windows 8.1" more like "Modded Software for Windows 8.1". The fonts look smudged, is it the usaul case with 8/8.1, the same ugly/blurry fonts, like in Windows 7?
  16. Can you imagine Google sync in unGoogled chrome? So looks like Supermium's author had finally chose the "default/vanilla" road.
  17. I guess kiss the unGoogled Supermium idea goodbye. From what we can see by the comments/issues/suggestions at the github's page, many would like to have it Googled - to be able to use Google services. Hence the newly added Google sync or whatever they call it.
  18. Version 109 is almost a year old. There already are troubles with it, like in the case with the British milk site, I too had troubles with it and 110 is barely hanging on.
  19. Good point, but it then will involve adding missing stub DLLs. no? I didn't try myself on Win 8, but I kind of gussed it will not be finished with just replacing virtualalloc.
  20. Why not simply call it Windows 98 RTM then, to satisfy everyone?
  21. WOW! Thanks a whole lot, I'll test tomorrow. Seems like the best alternative.
  22. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, it looks like it's suited for laptops as well, if you open it and look into the *.inf, it's mobile chips there also present. NVIDIA_DEV.0DE9.90B8.1B0A = "NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M NVIDIA_DEV.105A.2661.1462 = "NVIDIA GeForce 610M" 920M is nothing more than yet another iteration of older Keppler cards from 2012. The driver works very well, thanks @Karla Sleutel! You're a saviour! In the meantime, any suggestions to find 348.12 are still relevant, thank you all!
  23. Interesting! How do you change the white colour folder background in Windows 8 (not 8.1)?
