  1. I see ... I've been keeping module scripting disabled anyway. user_pref("javascript.options.asmjs", false); user_pref("javascript.options.baselinejit", false); user_pref("javascript.options.shared_memory", false); user_pref("javascript.options.wasm", false); user_pref("javascript.use_US_english_locale", true); dom.moduleScripts.enabled;false Will see what happens going forward; I guess.
  2. Nope ... even on 360v11 and 13 as well as DC Browser, now everything seems great ;)
  3. Welcome to MSFN - hope you find our forum helpful.
  4. Will definitely reply is detail later. Touched on so many topics that perked me up. Lol ... right after posting some came back and even a few new people joined. Ha Hate to say it, but I agree on that. Gosh, the clubs in the 90. Good grief I was always out dancing in the village (every weekend and up till closing at 4am, sometimes not good) and sometimes RI and NY mostly, anybody could call me and I"d pick up. I was social (very social, but always nervous) and just me and free and people that knew me just 'got me'. Now I'm agoraphobic and had anybody told me this would be the case, I'd laughed at them - I'm not even 1/2 the man I once was. Happy to be in bed by 10PM. Was going to keep writing but will just post this and the keylogger will record what I hid 'backspace' on and deleted. Haha... That's good and you sound charged. Me, I don't know, doing terrible, I guess but powering through. Just glad it was quiet here as I was expecting worse. Glad to be alone, actually, I don't know. Will try to find some good music.
  5. Indeed, cool blue skin he created, but I actually use your skin file from an early build of yours (in my picture above a few posting) that I just uploaded - fits my classic XP theme that I use Oh, and did I mention DC Browser ... ... still works! jisu11.srx
  6. <OT> Hi there @D.Draker I also enjoy that song and some of the remixed depending on what I'm expecting. Sometimes getting lost in a remix is needed for me. Sometimes takes me to good place and other times not so good. Anyways, just thought I'd ask you as you've still been posting as have it. Where the heck did everybody go? Even a gentleman I've been following for years here completely ignored me the other day, but I'm no losing sleep, least not over that. Ha I don't know, insomnia city lately and wake up wrecked from nightmares. Medication is awful, but another story. I'd hate to see this great forum go quiet and the other XP forum I'm on is also very quiet, as well. Just thought I'd ask you and hope you're managing well nowadays and take good care. No need to reply if you don't want to. <OT>
  7. Unfortunately, I've avoided V12 altogether because I see no reason to use it. For me, its just as annoying as V13 in that videos still skip (less so in DC Browser), so, for me, its either V11 or go right to V13; and if you're not concerned with resources, I would recommend V13 or 13.5. The advantage is that Arctic Foxie ungoogled builds take it a step further to deal with the google cookies, but both had telemetry removed, so yes to your question. That is just my humble (and simple) opinion, and of course, you know what they say about opinions ...
  8. I'm so glad to hear those settings helped you on that system and thanks for the screen grab. My Dell Dimension 3000 also has a Prescott Pentium 4 single core. Another another option is to try Roys FF45ESR build and you'll find the script is handled even better for low end devices. Another thing: I don't know, since its your uncles computer, you may not be able to make changes, but on my Prescott 4 I DO enable hyper threading in the bios. While on my Dell Optiplex ( my main computer ) Dual-core, I do not. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/resources/hyper-threading.html We do what we can to make it work for us ....
  9. I know by this point I shouldn't be confused (me, mister blobfish, confused ... imagine that ... lol) is Serpent actually still considered to be FF52.7 (I thought that is where they picked up from, trying to recall early 2018) and Serpent 55 (actually) being just early beta snapshot of the beginnings of 53 with even more missing but Roy is giving life to it now with his St55. I've been wondering with these updates if that has changed anything as the engine is no longer gecho (sort of, of course). I don't use waterfox or firefox, but I imagine from what I've read, its morphed into chrome and strayed away from what 'once was'. Yeah, just looked at the link and I've got so much disabled so I don't experience what is missing if it ain't there, but I've come accustomed to less is more theory. Good think and also not so good. I don't think your posting is off topic at all - everything people bring to the table counts
  10. Thank you for your latest updates and keeping your Serpent Browser alive and working very well nowadays all things considered. Very impressive!
  11. Seems good thus far with the latest St52 and the "save as" also seems to work just fine now @VistaLover as I vague recall you mentioned this, as well. So, I don't know what could be causing your issues @modnar ... perhaps you didn't replace all files or corrupt profile - I know its inconvenient but sometimes need to start fresh everything. Good luck!
  12. Ugh ... I just *threw myself* out of bed hate to admit it (rough nights here) and haven't updated, but I will today but save my version (same one you reverted back to that is VERY solid) and let you know. I'm drinking double tea and the brain fog is still enormous. Sorry guys.
  13. Hello there.. Please go to your about:config and make changes. dom.max_chrome_script_run_time <- please change to 0 dom.max_script_run_time <-please change to 0 dom.moduleScripts.enabled <-please toggle false to see, this helps me very much. dom.ipc.processHangMonitor <-please toggle to false. dom.ipc.reportProcessHangs <-please toggle to false Keep us posted and good luck :)
  14. Hi, Dave, I just last night finished up comparing my prefs to the latest Serpent and put on my thinking cap (I found one at a local flea market used ... hehe) and made changes that MC made to theirs and left some of FF 52.9.1 and spoofed to FF62 everything works very well still for me, as well. You're welcome. To go even a bit further backward, @Humming Owl's... Version: 9.5.0.138 Based on Chromium: 63.0.3239.132 Is super fast without the telemetry as well if you're looking for a light browser, but the internet is getting cruel towards us; sadly.
  15. Hi again.. You could also take a look at this thread by our own @Sampei.Nihira ... I do hope you are doing well as I've not seen you around as much lately. On my @NotHereToPlayGames v11 just now... https://www.ghacks.net/2021/04/26/evaluate-your-content-blocker-with-ad-block-tester/ Give it a try
  16. I'm still on: Version 52.9.0 (32-bit) Build ID 20220617032904 and have not updated because been unsure about breakage and this version seems very solid, but after reading here, I'll update Saturday and also hope Serpent 55 will be fixed.
  17. Hi there.. Yeah, sad to say, V11 is starting to show its age, hate to say it. I'm still using it, but, regrettably I've gone back to Serpent as my default. You will notice that V13 is still working very well, but is like a hoover vacuum when it comes to resources. Lol ... :) Have to give it top priority and cut back anything in the background which is a pain in the keister to have to do. Mini Browser after the last update doesn't work for me, but very grateful to all @Humming Owl and all involved and sad these browsers are only an afterthought given the hard work that went into it ;( Again, Still going to stay with V11 (I use ArcticFoxie build) but expect things to not work right as time goes on ... and there are other extensions besides Adguard that people use without issue here you could try. Good luck!
  18. You're very welcome - yeah, good to know it still works. I just ran it today as I decided to clone my HD again for the summer. Perhaps I'm rushing to July. Appears the roots were updated on 6/28. Hope everyone is managing as best as can be.
  19. <OT> Thank you for those recommendations, but please come back. You're a very helpful member and kind person and people appreciate you and your advice. <OT>
  20. Yeah, me thinks we've seen the last of 360 development. Too bad, a pity, just when I (sort of) got the hang of it. I'm going to hang on to Arctic Foxie V11 as long as its still working, but, honestly, I'm unsure that logging into anything at this point is such a good idea with it ... though, could also be said the same about using XP in 2022. For us still on XP, looks like we're back to mozilla based browsers unless somebody decides to back port something. Besides, the author hasn't really been participating in the 360 threads as much lately. Such hard work that went into it and everyone was soo excited, now, its not longer the 'talk of the town'. Lol =P Great browser and still hope they don't give up on it. EDIT: Which reminds me.. What's the best thing about being paranoid ... you always think you're the talk of the town. Ha!!
