  1. Hello and welcome to MSFN Lots of tweaks in various threads here - you'll find them - have a look around and take your time
  2. This is also my home and sanctuary right now, as well. There are no accidents and we found our way here for a reason. Yeah, 10 minutes, try 20 minutes to edit (11 Edits on that posting ) to fix all my mistakes and still.
  3. Yes, yes, yes ... EXACTLY all the "Bling" money can buy is not the answer to solace. Anything beyond necessities won't complete you if you are looking outside of yourself. If you are complete, anything you buy and acquire is addition to and you then 'Sport" your possessions rather than "Rely" on them. I hope that made sense. I try. Again, yeeees ... I always picture myself in a little hut near the ocean (see, I really do feel a connection to water and I LOVE fish) no alarm clock and feel just to quiet serene existence to wake me up. Please make no mistake, I'm not saying this is the same as avoidance or isolation - I don't see it that way - I (personally) struggle with this, but when I'm on my couch on the computer or watching a DVD (I'm soooo enjoying Heat Al Pacino and Robert De Niro is PURE MAGIC) I don't feel imprisoned in any way. Remove the (mental) bars and guess what, you see. That changes the picture. I will be totally honest and truthfully. Know what, I have nowhere to go (who would even take me [mister blobfish] anyway ... my awful writing style would give me away in a New York minute) so I just stay here and have left behind all of my mental health forums (only was on 2 anyway) and now I feel the void, but it has to be that way I've decided for my well being. Sometimes they help, often times they make things worse, and the trolls are in full speed sadly on those forums without moderation. I'd be cautious about joining those type of forums. Best to stay in tech forums and utilize the lounge sub-forums or our café or other off-topic to chat about anything. But, yeah, I feel I get it. I understand the loneliness. Sorry will write more if it comes to me as the strong coffee isn't cutting through my brain fog today. 11AM ... ugh. No worries, just what it is. I think people here value your input and advice and I appreciate that you stop by so visit me here Hope you enjoy the rest of your week. TC EDIT: Please understand, I'll be editing this posting for the next 10 minutes until I get where I want it. Thank you again. Well, that is as good as I can do as the strong coffee didn't quite cut through he brain fog. 11:30AM ... ugh ... still in sweat pants.
  4. Just checking in and see feedback has dropped for this project last Month - any progress? I realize this is early phase testing, but hopefully he is still working on it to increase our options. Hope everyone involved is managing as best as possible where there is no peace in the world right now.
  5. Don't feel bad .. I also missed your reply. Thank you for the helpful advice, as always. From the main site you linked: https://madaidans-insecurities.github.io/browser-tracking.html Just UGH
  6. More than likely, I'll be staying in this forum (mainly this thread) or such threads that are general discussion in nature going forward here. I don't want to be a hindrance rather than help or promote derailing of threads when this is a tech forum. To my knowledge posting in this sub-forum [the-msfn-café] does NOT increase your post count. I'll occasionally post in threads pertaining to the browsers I use here or if I have something helpful to add, post feedback or ask a question, myself. I'm just grateful to part of MSFN and hope we stay active and thriving - It can't be easy to keep this place up an running. TY for putting up with me here
  7. Thank heavens for that ... those 90 rave parties only bring back bad (very bad) memories. I'm sort of shocked I made it through the 90s in all honesty. I Promise: Final posting in threads that have nothing to do with me nor for things that don't involve me and sorry for so much off-topic postings to the mods.
  8. You know, in all honesty.. Its the contrast between the light on a page (website) in relation to using a dark theme. I don't know why it has to be 'all or nothing'. I use both depending on what I viewing. Sites that usually display in only a light test make the dark theme annoying, so on the contrary, when a site will display in the dark theme (correctly) - a dark theme in a browsers(s) work(s) well. I prefer a combination of light and soft Beige or stone during the daylight (if I'm not hiding inside with shades down) rather, in low lighting, I will use a dark theme. For the record (I hope nobody is keeping record of my nonsense ... hehe ... must be bored) I usually use light themes as I prefer to use the classic theme for my XP systems. I don't hate the blue so long as its not all the time. Even back in the real XP days, I (vaguely) recall (memories are fuzzy, sorry) I used the green silver mainly XP theme until I finally gave up and disable themes service. Yeah, both sides are important otherwise we'd never have anybody working 3rd shift in a hospital, likewise, If no-one worked on Sundays, God help you if in you are in need of medical attention. That being said, I don't know how people are able to get into a Circadian Rhythm. Feel bad, but grateful for those that can handle that shift work.
  9. Ok: Mister Blobfish is going to step away from the keyboard. EDIT: Dressed and heading outside for a nice walk. Wait ... I don't have feet and I'm already in water, so just keep swimming; always.
  10. Thus far .. no issues and the latest Serpent is working quite well, overall, considering. Hopefully will improve even more :)
  11. Well .. I just came across this article and it lifted my mood away from the focus on everything that is wrong - even if for a little bit - just need to step away and step back from the madness and enjoy something. Very very hard to do in a toxic world, but there are still some things to appreciate. https://www.today.com/pets/pets/woman-dementia-missing-rescued-dogs-barks-labrador-rcna28597 Woman with dementia rescued after 3 days thanks to loyal Lab’s barks
  12. ................................................................
  13. Sorry for the late reply my friend ... just getting back up today. Not necessarily a hypocrite - we should in all likelihood *survive* in this jungle better by learning to become a chameleon (during times for basic survival) . Ya know, as they say - "when in Rome" - that doesn't make you any less genuine, but sometimes we need to go with the flow and change could happen along the way instead of becoming stuck by trying to be steadfast or rigidity (or rigidness). Sorry If I make little sense. Hope everyone is enjoying this week.
  14. Sorry, I've been away and haven't kept up with notifications, been sleeping too much. NO: Please don't feel bad for me. YES, here we are sitting typing and communicating with others. Remember, never settle for the path of least resistance and we mustn't EVER give up or give in. Only tears when allergies get the best of us all, or a soap-opera ... JK: or am I?! Of course, I am :) Never change for others or to please society, only what will bring you to a better place.
  15. Friday the 13th (of course). Poor, poor, Jason, so misunderstood. Kidding, just kidding everyone. Ha-ha Full movie on YT - would have to give it (normally) 2/10, but since its independent low budget, I'll give it a 5/10 as it was a bit funny rather than scary.
  16. Thank you for popping into the café and thank you for the reply - I'll be sure to reply at another time when I can better answer your posting. Overall not too bad today and I did get outside for a short walk in the sun (no people) and I enjoyed it (the trees, the birds) ... important as they (unlike people) never let us down. Enjoy your weekend everyone :)
  17. If you (like me) don't get enough sun, your Circadian Rhythm could be off and your body won't produce enough Melatonin. You could try a supplement I recommend lowest dosage and see and no more than 5MG. You could also get your vit D levels checked. I don't sleep well, most times no more than 4 hours and hellish nightmares and torment; honestly. I haven't rested or slept well since the 90s Lol ... but quality sleep is important Vs quantity. Vt B6 from foods could help. Hard to calm the mind in this madness nowadays, I get that. https://medalerthelp.org/blog/vitamin-b6-foods/ https://nigms.nih.gov/education/fact-sheets/Pages/Circadian-Rhythms.aspx Hope you will feel better.
  18. Starting to get nice up here in the north .. need more sun very badly. Sorry for off-topic.
  19. I confess - I have started to follow upstream and I do in fact read the changes each week, but don't always update right away until I see if others are having issues.
  20. It Friday the 13th and I don't usually leave the house as I fear something bad will happen. I wish I were kidding, but oh well. Good movies to watch. I did get out yesterday after being in the house (put on your seat-belt) for almost 2 weeks and its just get very weird. I'm discovering that I totally fine being removed from society and toxic people and this silly game people play jumping through hoops to please others and from the little I see, people are not genuine anymore. To be honest ... the world seems quit fake now to me. Robots. I'm an outsider and my dearly departed father used to tell me that was fine. Still not sleeping well and sometimes I wake up confused and takes times to pull myself out of it. Anyways ... hope everyone is doing better this Friday
