Has anyone tried Windows 10 IoT Core?

Title says it all, looking for something decent and not overrated (only to be disappointingly mediocre)
-
Hope this topic helps; how to obtain WPA2 if your wireless device's utility doesn't include it (The wireless device must have G). Also includes some alternative wireless devices other users of MSFN use.

Title says it all; looking for a docking station for a laptop which is capable of replacing the video/graphic card to improve performance in a laptop (Capable of replacing a PCI or whatever its called card, any size is fine with me) I've heard of the Advanced Docking Station which would work with my Thinkpad R60 and improve performance if I replace the Half Size Express Card.

A few sketches I made
FantasyAcquiesce replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Graphics and Designing Art
I used Manga Studio as well, including the coloring. I currently play around with Kirita a little bit to color (Although I have little to no knowledge of the program). With Manga Studio I make the outline on multiple separate layers for hair, body, clothes, hands, face, eyes, etc (Outlining a sketch I scanned) then use Manga Studio's line smoothing feature if it looks too sharp. Used a friend's computer for Photoshop CS6 to convert a few of these into renders. Considering playing around with SAI paint if its any better. My only issue is getting the illustrations not to be sharp on the outline as if I used MS paint (Stabilization doesn't seem to help me much on Manga Studio) I'm a noob at coloring (probably outlining as well) Attempt of coloring with Kirita (I don't like this one >.< I had to smudge the lines because the anti-aliasing caused whiteness in between the line and color) If I continue this one, I'm probably gonna add more color blending to make it more lively looking Another WIP made in Manga Studio She's saying "I love you" in Korean -
Last Versions of Software for Windows 2000
FantasyAcquiesce replied to thirteenth's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
Has anyone found a location to download dooble 1.4.0? That is probably the best web browser for vanilla w2k out there... -
Over the summer I never really went outside, so I decided to doodle all day. I'm hoping to color in the last two, but I keep getting weird white lines half the time.

I Want To Run XP On An HP 15-G010DX - Is It Possible?
FantasyAcquiesce replied to cc333's topic in Windows XP
I'm often lazy when it comes to installing drivers; try this offline driverpack if you can't seem to find them (You can run it from a flash drive!!!) https://sdi-tool.org/. Although, since the laptop isn't officially supporting XP, be very careful if you do use it. In my experience a few incompatible drivers will say "entry point not found", once my XP (Maybe it was 2000, I can't remember) installation kept giving me a blue screen after booting due to drivers. -
I experimented with my Dell Latitude D600 with running Windows 98SE and ME, both have encountered a bunch of issues I haven't seen on Windows 2000 or later versions of Windows. According to a scan (I plan to check it later) my hard drive could have a bad sector. Windows ME A lot of applications tend to act weird (Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing 8 crashed upon downloading via disc, I Spy Fantasy installs yet the actual in game clicking to find objects doesn't work despite working the rest of the time) Tends to "lag" a lot (Even XP didn't lag nearly as much) Windows 98SE USB mouse won't work even after installing the universal usb driver, mysteriously it magically works if I plug in my usb hub made for 98 then my mouse Flash drives don't work after installing the usb driver Way fussier than ME when it comes to installing drivers in general 7-Zip gives me errors if I highlight then drag, yet works if I press the extract button then have it go to another When I install new drivers it tells me it needs to find it in a location after boot, using the unofficial service pack for all official updates usually fixes these issues Most DOS games don't even seem to work? Since my laptop lacks a mouse ps/2 port, the game Oregon Trail Deluxe refuses to work because I lack a mouse (Haven't tried DOS much though) Won't shut off unless I press the off button Both Tends to be unstable in general Should I keep Windows 98SE (or ME) on my laptop or are there any solutions to these issues? Should I ditch 9x for 2000, later NT versions?

France, Internet censored, Tor browser

How's everything doing in France? I've heard people were not happy with the new labor reforms, refugee violence is still happening, and is rioting is happening. Is rioting common there? -
Windows 9x w/ USB plugged in during boot hangs
FantasyAcquiesce replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Windows 9x/ME
Haven't used my Windows ME for a few weeks Windows 98SE - Hangs at DOS screen, claiming to boot to windows 98; doesn't reach splash screen. Windows ME - Hangs at the Windows ME screen. The loading bar still moves, but it does not ever boot to windows and stays stuck on the splash screen. I believe my Dell Latitude D600 isn't set to boot from USB, maybe I'll check soon -
The tool changes the Windows Registry which fools software into thinking its running on the selected OS How to use: NNN4NT5.cab>NNN4NT5>Then select a destination for the file (I prefer desktop for convenience unless you prefer somewhere else)>Open the exe file and change registry! Warning: Set the registry back to Vista before turning off! Otherwise Windows won't boot properly!

Try using this instead! http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1925971.html Direct Download: Here Try fooling the application into thinking you're using Windows XP or 7 completely with this! (Thank you Dibya!) In my experience using compatibility made some cases worse for me on Windows 7 if I remember correctly (Installing old games like Theme Hospital) Haven't tested it on an OS other than Vista 2000, but it should work! IMPORTANT! SET BACK OS BACK TO VISTA OTHERWISE WINDOWS WON'T BE ABLE TO BOOT PROPERLY! THE BOOTER WILL BE CONFUSED!!!

Let's see: Out of 8 computers I know of that ran Windows 10, only 2 of 8 work properly and those two computers contain an ssd... I've talked to online players in video games, one person I know says it works fine with his regular hard drive. Three others said it sucks... So... 3 out of 12 computers w/ Windows 10 work properly ._.

Sigh, this is quite embarrassing as I cannot seem to figure out how to install this darn extension Okay, I've managed to install it once but sadly that installation was destroyed after I tried to install Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 SP1 as an experiment. When the laptop was booted up after installing Virtual PC 2004 SP1, a driver included had screwed something up resulting in the blue screen of death every time I booted up the laptop. Being lazy, I decided to just reinstall Windows 2000. It seems I was just lucky the Kernel32 extension would work last time or god somehow came into my room and did everything for me when I wasn't looking. Okay enough of that, I just had to vent a bit... For the extension I need... KB2722913 (Internet Explorer 6 security update) The Kernel Extension, which is this one right? English(v2.8d) Windows2000-KB935839-v28d-x86-ENU.EXE Blackwingcat told me: "You should install QFE version IE6 SP1 Update : P http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1710658.html Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer] "QFEInstalled"=dword:00000001 Set the following registry and install Security update." I went onto the link and became very confused...where is the download link to the required security update? Let me know the download locations and please correct me if I'm wrong! Thank you!

The Updated Mini List of Win98/ME Software
FantasyAcquiesce replied to ZortMcGort11's topic in Windows 9x/ME
Welp, I found out the weirdest thing ever: Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.23 works on Windows ME!!! Despite not being officially supported and meant for Windows 2000 or later, it will still allow you to install it! Its good enough for Minecraft to even open and run! xD Too bad Windows 9x hardware will never be powerful enough to even get past the start menu of Minecraft! T_T Probably doesn't effect if the installation works or not; my Windows ME had all official updates via SP1 and Netframework 2 installed If I constantly maximize then minimize the Minecraft window after constantly clicking, it appears to be forcing Minecraft to progress instead of being nearly frozen! -
Windows 9x w/ USB plugged in during boot hangs
FantasyAcquiesce replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Windows 9x/ME
I don't believe so, this is a very common issue... -
Does anyone know of a solution to this issue? My Dell Latitude D600 lacks a ps2 port for any ps2 mice which results in system hang if I forget to unplug my usb mouse. Tested with both Windows 98SE and ME. What causes this to happen?

Unable to drag and drop any files?
FantasyAcquiesce replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
UURollup Windows2000-UURollup-v11-d20141130-x86-ENU breaks the laptop's ability to use the wireless adapter meant for vanilla Windows 2000 on my physical laptop, also breaking the ability to copy and paste, drag and drop. The control panel ends up looking funny and requires to be scrolled no matter what size the window is, many options and icons won't even appear. IKR, I had to reinstall my wireless adapter at least 3 times before it worked! I really don't wanna have to end up reinstalling Windows 2000 for the 4th or 5th time in 2 days x_x I'll try system restore first then show it. Is there any recording software or something similar to snipping/page caturing for Windows 2000? -
Unable to drag and drop any files?
FantasyAcquiesce replied to FantasyAcquiesce's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
I found out this happens because of installing the last daily urollup (or whatever its called)...the updates causes weird issues from drag and drop, copy, and pasting not working, and even windows the control panel permanently windowed even if I full sized the window... Which is the last safe rollup to use?...I can't figure out how to install blackwingcat's kernel32 x_x -
This seems to be an odd issue... Welp, Windows 2000 has always been a pain to setup on my laptop due to certain drivers not always properly working after installation. Suddenly my laptop is unable to copy and paste anymore, drag and drop doesn't work, copy/cut and paste doesn't work as well. Any solutions? Trying to copy/cut then paste won't even affect my right-click options! The desktop acts as if I had never done so! I really don't wanna have to reinstall Windows 2000, upgrade to sp4, install the programs, etc again

Self-Learning Robot Escapes Testing Grounds
FantasyAcquiesce replied to Monroe's topic in General Discussion
There's already like a billion possible ways mankind can kill itself from a plant being so strong that we won't have anything else to each, nuclear destruction, and even artificial black holes! Hey, we're even expected to be hit by earthquakes which could cause fatal tsunami's, meteors strong enough like theorized to kill the dinosaurs, a magnetic switch, maybe even a black hole nearby our galaxy, moon's size, our genetics becoming weird, mass animal deaths, another possible ice age, disease, ozone layer destruction/greenhouse effect, Gamma-ray bursts, and Super-Volcano's. I wouldn't worry too much, just prepare as much as possible -

Yikes, if this is true, I really hope scientists don't act like id*** and try to continue this process. Otherwise the whole human race is gonna be exterminated eventually xD -
Last Versions of Software for Windows 98SE

Can any administrators edit this topic and update it? Someone made another mini list of updated software not so long ago, but it seems to have gotten lost...
