touch technology can only be used in "some" sort of finger painting but mostly in holograms ... how many people have those in home or office ? touch devices IMO failed, OS-es even more

I don't think kernel is the issue as much as underlying system bloat there are too many dependencies on useless junk that they are forcing on you still have OS that is now MORE dependant on IE than ever before you have OS that NEEDS .net framework you have OS now that has tons of "online" aka live services and all this bul***** is connected with "metro" both 8 and "10" are just fast spitted out products made to compete with iOS (and very poorly i must say) but name branding change and stupid visuals obviously work on these days people lets talk about useful stuff ... ONLY NOW do they provide in "10" support for MKV and FLAC file format - oh my gawd - took them only 10 years ONLY since year and half ago they implemented ISO mounting into explorer - *facepalm what else is useful there ... ehm ... nothing, integrated skype ? lol

true above all you'll get with winblows "10" is cortana (ZzZzZz), new UI-ed IE which they call "codenamed spartan", and tweaked UI/Shell

not to mention why buying new PC for just 1 program that was duped on purpose

the only good thing that came with Vista was DWM nothing else, absolutely nothing, and this is core stuff, not UI wise crap, UI was crippled comparing to XP but tech side, UAC how "good" intention it was (but it was lazy made one), is also most annoying one, but ok lets attribute it as step forward, thus A GOOD THING DWM, already mentioned above, GPU acceleration and mapping into GPU memory, stops many graphical bugs and unloads CPU from re-drawing crap other than that Vista has nothing over XP, in fact the dependency via .NET which now increases all the time just makes it crappier OS good thing that both Vista and 7 do not require anything more than .net 2.0 to work properly (which is sadly integrated due to MIL and DWM) but winblows 8 and "10" oh my... hello again IE system wide integration and dependency no thanks, goodbye

nope as win7 gives me all I need, if XP worked fine on my HW, which it didn't for some reason, I'd probably stay on it... as for whole win8 and "10", the most thing I dislike is again, IE with this metro thingy, again MS has excuse to force IE deep into the OS core again now while they probably dealt with security measures, but honestly again if you disable UAC youre on square one with security down... and while metro apps (why the heck are those called apps again?) are disabled without UAC "on", you still have all that crap with integrated bing, skype and those shitty "live" accounts its just like they are making this OS into online OS more and more yes its good for tablets and phones ... but Workstations (desktops) NO ! - which are BTW FAR FROM BEING GONE, as I don't see on what else will be App's and games made anyway ... certainly not on shitty tablets ... LOL

you don't need bigger shadows for good effect just look vista/win7 effect on INACTIVE window shadow is small but mild I've done this for my active win's too so it looks very nice not having that ugly black strong thick shadow as for win10, I find nothing interesting there ... absolutely nothing, to me its just win 8.2 it will have tweaked UI a bit and thats all there is...

keyboard locale is HR (croatian) OS locale is english (US) browsers don't matter, Opera (old) & Palemoon (FF, latest), both have this screwups, and no I don't block JS pages... i don't remember, but happens when I run into some ... and sometimes its not whole sentence in those squarted numbers but mixed with normal letters first I thought it was some Chineze crap since their symbols are .... fubar but then I noticed it on some english sites too is this due to some new fonts that are called from google servers for CSS ?

don't matter which browser I use, on some pages I get this weird symbols instead letters sometime they are even mixed within a words with letters why is that ..., i even see that on youtube sometime weird things appear pic below

letters are different coz of font type and cleartype thingy otherwise letters are same (that was bad comparison there) as of look, I always used WindowBlinds on XP and never default XP look, the OS looked better than vista and 7
