  1. I like your avatar. Got that Australian aboriginal look to it and keeping your monkey theme. No monkeys in Australia that I know of. Did you design and make it? It has a nice layout. Posture of the monkey is cool, the yellow reptilian eye effect is nice (I know it is probably not what you intended). It leaves you feeling like it was left by a different culture, from a different time and it was supposed to mean something. DL
  2. So what do you call it? Chagalish? Entagnese? Tagenchi? Enchilog? DL
  3. @SiMoNsAyS Hard to beat mother nature sometimes. Nice, light, clean, fresh. Green is soothing on the eyes also.
  4. Past moments become the 'good old days' and todays good moment will become one also. Ok, how about this. Anybody remember Pong? Hooked it up to the tv, had two handheld controls with a dial on each. You controled the onscreen paddles that did no more than go up or down, you on your side of the screen, them on theirs. The ball moved back and forth and you blocked it's passage. You could put and angle on the deflection and increase the speed of the ball if you moved the paddle in the relative opposite direction of the balls travel. Black background, white rectangle for a paddle and a white disk for the ball. Still got mine boxed up somewhere in the basement. 25+ years ago. How's that for 'good old days', sven? More than a decade before you were even a twinkle in your daddy's eye.
  5. Most women these days wear pants and unfortunately, this one has a belt and zipper line to spoil the effect.
  6. Sprite Tropical or temperate rainforest?
  7. A twisted essay for a twisted story. 61%, should have gotten more for creativity.
  8. maybe you should try unplugging your keyboard and getting a life... It holds the same license it had when you purchased it. You have no more rights to the software than the day it came out. "Unsupported" just simply means that the OS is no longer supported Microsoft's update and support teams. It's just like the warranty on your new car or truck running out. You can still drive it, you can still work on it and use it, but Ford isn't going to just fix it for you for free. Figured as much. Thanks un4given1
  9. I have 4 machines between home and work. 2x98, 1xHome, 1xPro. I use the OS that came with or I originally installed on the machine. I don't feel like shelling out $150 for another OS when the one that is already on the machine works just fine doing what it does. One of the 98's is going to be nothing more than a chat machine for a niece, the other I am going to switch to Linux.... well, for the fun of it. I run a minor cad program at work and I am now retiring one of the machines because it gets overwhelmed sometimes. Don't know if it is the OS or machine (my bet is on the machine) but either way it is getting too slow. If Microsoft isn't supporting Win98, then what is it's status? Is it still licensed? What can you and can you not do with it now that it isn't 'supported'? DL
  10. Wow, hooked already. Welcome MSFN.

    Hi everyone

Hi Bing. You started out in msfn the way I did. Maybe better. I got the correct forum but posted under someone else's thread. You got your thread but wrong forum.
  15. Paris Hilton = untalented. Nahhhh. She might not be able to act, mind you she had everybody fooled when she went 'slumming' in Arkansas. Fake posed questions, eg. 'What's WalMart? They sell walls there?' She knew what WalMart is and kept a straight face. She's making big$ off the show and she has the clothing or accesories thing with her sister. Hilton = Money. The closer to the bone, the sweeter the meat.
  16. Go into 'Tools', 'Internet Options', 'General' tab,'Temporary Internet files', 'Settings', 'View Files' and then you will have the cache window open. Copy and paste the files you want to another folder. Double clicking on the files in cache will open the website up again. DL
  17. Some programs have options or settings allowing you to open up multiple instances or limiting to just one instance. DL
  18. i'm new as well, so i can't be of much help. having said that, i'd suggest reading all of the sticky'd topics that apply to you. also see this guide, although it seems pretty outdated. the unattended forum is a good place to look as well. getting answers to questions seems a bit tough in general. sometimes no one knowledgable responds (but at least they try), or you get the famous "use the search function". often, those belonging to the latter group fail to question that you may have already searched and came up empty. rather than repeating, or simply linking to information, they prefer you spend another 4 hrs. poking around in the dark. Don't know if you used this one or not but there is the search button at the top of these pages that has the spyglass next to it and you can do a much better job of searching with it. The search boxes next to the Google name are quite limited. DL
  19. @inonit No problem. Gave me a chance to do more surfing on the web. Like I need an excuse to do that. Either way, I have a couple of progs to check out now. Thanks.

    Cool Game

I was slightly aware of what was going to happen and it still jolted me. What was more fun was introducing my brother and nephew to the game. The looks on their faces was priceless. I controled the volume, gave the instructions (careful around the corners, that's where there is little leeway on movement, etc...), and just watched.
  21. True but I also think that you inherit a lot of your personality from your parents. You may not exactly be like them but on occasion you will hear someone say "you're just like your Uncle _______" or "Aunt _____" and they can be someone you have never met. Either way, you are responsible for you own actions.
