  1. Hi lansing, I went to verizon.com and was redirected. I didn't see a problem there. I didn't get any pop ups. I searched the page and couldn't find anything that would need or want to be downloaded. Are you still having the problem? Did you download the file? (the site appears completely legit but downloading the file is at your own risk) If you did download it, does it still have the name www22.verizon[1] ? All images on the page were 5kb or smaller and I couldn't find anything that was 34kb in size. DL Edit: Are you using IE? The brackets at the end of the file make it look like something IE does on saving multiple files with the same name.
  2. Some of the programs on previous pages plus Karen's Replicator- for backups from drive to drive or to another computer. Simple, straight forward Izarc-for zips. Picasa 2-pic and vid management and some manipulation. Very nice. nLite-what do I need to say? HijackThis Atlantis Nova-Worpad replacement MetaPad-Notepad replacement DL

  4. Hi liamshannon, You might want to post your question in the correct forum. Software Hangout or the OS you are using. Welcome to MSFN. DL
  5. Bump, nudge. What, no reply? Goofballs. DL Had to wait 30 seconds to let flood control timer expire.
  6. It doesn't come up all the time but I've seen where someone gets upset when they don't get an answere within 24 hours. Maybe it's a forum that isn't read every day, maybe the people who have read the post (you can see on the right side of the topic in the forum the number of people who have read your post) don't have an answere, maybe you ought to google it or search it in the forum and the readers of the post know this, so no answere or reply. Specificly this PATIENCE DL
  7. True. As if someone is sitting here like a 24/7 help desk. DL

  14. Oh! Oh! Oh! Set it up to send out specific e-mails to different people. Never 'forget' birthdays, anniverseries ....... "Thanks for the e-mail Mom. Glad you liked the online birthday card. Yes, I was thinking just of you when I found it. I'm glad you are happy that I remembered your birthday. How could you think I would forget? Love, Your son" DL
  15. Interesting swf. It obviously took them some time to make that, but why? No saving it though. Looks like it is set in a constant download state, even though it isn't and you can't save it. I guess you can have two or three people doodling on the same board at the same time? Didn't or doesn't MS have some kind of white board like that? DL
  16. Don't underestimate your dog or cat. I've known some that would get even. Dog- chew up something, cat- urinate on your pillow. Cat and pill. Been there, done some of that. Gave up and took the cat to vet's office. Apparantly there is a trick to getting the pill to the back of the cat's throat and massaging it down. I never got the hang of it. I quit when it's claws start to dig in and it gets that bug eyed psychotic look. I never fancied wrestling with a contortionist ninja with 2 dozen stilletos. DL
  17. Ok, I'm a tard. It took me a second to get it. But just a second. DL
  18. Good one prathapml. I've read it before but your version is a bit more eloquent. I have another parrot joke but unfortunately it doesn't belong in this forum. DL
  19. Another version Oh!.................Don't!........................Stop! Oh!.........Don't!..........Stop! Oh!.....Don't!......Stop! Oh!..don't..stop! Oh, don't stop! This must be in other languages as well, I hope. DL

  25. I had similar problems to what azagahl has or had. It was a junkie keyboard. Random window openings, cursor moving on it's own, strings of letters inserting themselves into a text file, webpages locking up, etc........... What's next is a lot about nothing. Ok, ok, I'm a qualify myself somewhere between a homeuser and dangerous experimenter, maybe that's the same thing. So it's not really a problem for me. If I mess something up, I can re-install Windows. I'm doing that anyway every 30 days or less at the moment because I do live installs of my nLited CD's and I have other partitions to do more installs on my home computer. But I can still get odd behavior from XP. At the office, I wanted to link two XP comps together for file transfers and nothing more. Used a crossover cable, hooked them up, both said they had connections and nothing and nothing and nothing. I rechecked the names, workgroup name, sharing.... Next I follow directions on setting IP addresses for the NIC and so forth and nothing. Primary comp decides to recognize the other, but not the otherway around. I create a new connection on each and nothing. Both comps are running XP. I re-install the OS on one, the other has to much on it to deal with in a short amount of time. I hook them up, go through the same routine again, this time I loose internet connection on the primary one. IP addresses were wrong (how did that happen?), repaired that. Still nothing. I look all over the internet for an answere, nothing new. Clear out all the junk, delete connections, do it again, turn comps off and on, over and over. And then all by their magically delicious selves, they decide to see each other. I don't know if it's XP or me. I already know that setting up networks can be difficult or near impossible depending on what you are trying to do as a homeowner. But for goodness sake, just linking two comps!!!!! aarrrrrggggghhhhh Thank you for your attention, you may now resume with the thread. DL
