  1. For those that want to download it, I will release the 3.0 version later today. Edit: As promised; you can find the download link in post #1
  2. Rado354 has one on his website, and you could have found it easily with search Enjoy
  3. MD5 sum: b3a4e9ca6db4ff7e420b0768e82d7e20 Size: 17.42MB N.B. This version does not include Media Player Classic - it's available for separate download anyway; it does contain necessary plug-ins to display QT files embedded in web pages and support for Firefox, Opera and Chrome. Get it HERE or HERE
  4. johnhc, exactly that; the file sfc_os.dll shows the version of Service Pack 1 when looked at (corresponds to the original source CD), but when you right-click it and click properties, that same file shows the version number of Service Pack 3 (later integrated with nLite). This is the file from the nLited CD, which I have copied to the hard drive and expanded using Command Prompt. I'm not sure how it happens, but there it is seeing is believing.
  5. So, I extracted KB817778 and this is an overview of the files inside; maybe it will help you find the necessary files from your service pack and put them in their right places. MS's site says the update is only for SP1, and is included in SP2 and on by default. There is also an update for TCP/IPv6 in KB951748. I've followed the post and I'm sort of running out of the ideas here. Please report back with results.
  6. Even more confusing, since I have a laptop with a relatively old Intel graphic, the Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express, and it still works great for me.
  7. Look at THIS, I think it will do the trick; I also agree with the last posts that FFDShow is very good and does the trick, plus it's free Be aware that the v.7.2 installer also contains an option to install Google Chrome, which can only be excluded or turned off if you do something like AutoIt. So, I see the tricky situation you're in. Cheers
  8. Speaking of versions, check this out and tell me if you see anything peculiar; N.B. the Service Pack versions say it all; one is from the original CD, and one from the modified I have installed and am using right now. I didn't disable SFC during nLite-ing.
  9. The CD is probably not bootable because you burned it with some other program. Solution: burn it with nLite by choosing only the Create Bootable ISO option next time you start nLite.
  10. Picture 4 shows that you integrate it as PnP; you should integrate it in text mode (TXT); and if you integrate other drivers, make sure the SATA driver is the last to get integrated. That's all there is to it.
  11. Is there a virtual network driver that has to be installed with Virtual Box so you can communicate with your host computer through your VM session? Also, in VirtualPC that I am using, there is an option to install shared folders on the Virtual Machine so it can interact with the host computer; it is similar in VMWare as well.
  12. d3dx9_29_x86 xact2_3_x86 xinput9_1_0_x86 These are examples of names of .CAT files that belong to DirectX 9. As for other versions, I wouldn't know, I only work with XP
  13. Being ready to do this, I suppose you also read the warning in nLite that if you remove .CAT files, you will also get a lot of prompts about files not being digitally signed, right? I don't know if these prompts will break your unattended install, but it's worth doing another search and being completely informed of all the consequences. For example, I have about 50 of MS's updates and hotfixes; along with DirectX and driver catalog files (marked with oemxx where xx is a number), the size totals to about 9.5MB. It's not too big of a size, and how faster can it be? I have about 15-20 programs installing from RunOnce and at least that much add-ons, I haven't stripped a lot, and it still takes an hour total for a complete install. So, what I'm saying is have your options open and do a lot of test using a VM; if a quick install is all you're interested in, then disregard this. Enjoy
  14. Updated to latest (today's) version 06/10/2009 Rev.3096 by clsid
  15. I found in an older post that newer versions of catalyst center use the -k switch for silent install. So, problem solved.
  16. johnhc, I already gave him a link in post #5 from MS's website containing the needed registry keys for this modification. vinifera, all you need to do now is put them into a text editor (like Notepad) and save it with a .reg extension. You could also export the needed key from the registry and then just double click it to restore the settings.
  17. OK, you can't just add it to the list of updates and hotfixes; that's why -X- gave you a link to an add-on which works just great and you add it to the same place in nLite. Problem solved
  18. And who are those "users"? Are you trying to say you were clicking "Next" too fast to see nLite was made for personal use ONLY?
  19. See THIS at your own responsibility.
  20. I suppose the best way would be to put them in the order of release; as Microsoft releases updates that replace older hotfixes, see -X-'s list to see which one replaces which one. I read your last post, and to integrate IE7-WindowsXP-KB961260-x86-ENU.exe, you need to have IE7 on your system first. See HERE for an add-on. RyanVM's Forums even have a tool where you can make your add-on with the hotfixes included, so you don't have to integrate them twice. Enjoy (and use Search, it answers A LOT of questions)
  21. Edit: Solved, I found the /k switch thanks to THIS POST
  22. That's good to hear. Please report with the results.
  23. Look at THIS and then SEARCH and GOOGLE; I got plenty of hits on this issue.
  24. Or look at THIS. Enjoy
  25. You create a new folder, then rename it to $OEM$, and put it in the same folder as I386, i.e. next to it. You know the rest of the procedure. Enjoy
