  1. Yes, I believe that was the general idea of PLoP. Just make sure it is installed on the current OS before re-installing.
  2. First of all, welcome to MSFN. Second, this is the wrong place to post this question. Please bear that in mind next time. Have you tried Google search? My search states (I don't know how reputable the sites are, so I'm not posting them) that you should copy dxgi.dll into the Battlefield3 Program folder, namely C:\program files\ea games\... I'm sure you'll manage. Even if it doesn't work, it's not harmful and you've got nothing to lose (you can always delete it). Cheers
  3. Going back to posts #18-20, here's my mms.cfg file mms.cfg.7z in case someone needs it. I've been thinking of putting it in an SFX or copying it from the source via a batch file command after Flash install. Both are doable in nLite, too. The file is identical (by location and configuration) in Windows 7 as well. Cheers
  4. This should be the correct path in Windows 7. No, you are not. As I said, I delete Normal.dot (through a batch script) to restore functionality in Word. How Word works without a template, I can't really say. The only thing I can think of is that it must be created somewhere. Re-check the folder and also check if the folder is also Read-Only..If no file corruption occurs, I guess you could also add a small script that removes the Read-Only attribute from Normal.dot at logon, something along the lines of attrib -R C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dot In case you want to copy this, there should be only two blank spaces: - between attrib and -R; - between -R and C To test it, next time you notice Normal.dot is Read-Only, copy this, paste it into a Command Prompt window and press Enter. Then check to see if Read-Only is removed from Normal.dot properties. Cheers
  5. Not really. 1. Insert the Office CD, open it, right-click Setup.exe and choose Properties. 2. Select the Compatibility tab, tick the option to run in Compatibility Mode and choose the OS. 3. Apply/OK. 4. Double-click Setup.exe to run Office Setup. Like I said, I haven't tried it yet. If you are willing to test, please report back. Cheers
  6. I'm having a similar problem where Normal.dot occasionally gets corrupted and throws an error 0xc5, so I added a batch script to delete it at Logon/Log off. I've never tried it, but you could try installing it in Compatibility mode for Windows XP and see what happens. Cheers
  7. I don't know if it's valid, but have you seen this (from Google search) As for MasterWriter, I don't have time to download it now; Google search doesn't reveal much. Cheers
  8. There are a few ways you can do this. My sincere recommendation is -X-'s suggestion. You can also install them through a batch script (silently), but having the Frameworks installed beforehand is a prerequisite. Again, what -X- suggested is much easier and more complete at the same time. Win-Win. I'm sorry, but no. The name of the package has nothing to do with SFX Maker. It is important for nLite, but for other reasons.Cheers
  9. Isn't there a balloon notification for that in the user taskbar (just like the one for low disk space, or desktop cleanup wizard, or local area network is disconnected)? I'm sure you can set the number of days before expiry in Active Directory without buying other software. Just saying... Cheers
  10. Two strange things: 1. I couldn't find x64 Language Packs for XP; 2. The ones I found for x86 were .exe, not .msi files. How did you find yours?
  11. Have you tried adding the language pack directly into nLite?
  12. Did you see this? http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_resource_kit/archive/2009/09/16/where-is-the-office-2000-sr-1-administrator-updates-o2ksr1adl-exe.aspx
  13. Updated to latest version 04/01/2013 Rev.4499 by clsid
  14. Last Session.ini seems fine. I suggest you post here with your problem, and Fernando will recommend which drivers to use. It will probably be these http://win-lite.de/benutzer/fernando/Intel/Rapid%20Storage%20Technology/32bit%20Intel%20RST%20AHCI%20&%20RAID%20driver%20v11.2.0.1006%20WHQL.7z (in his first post), but better be on the safe side. For anyone interested, this is the link to the motherboard http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LK/#download Unless there is some other glitch which I'm not seeing, you will have to recreate a CD which will work. Cheers
  15. If you don't get an answer soon, I suggest you PM Tomasz86 http://www.msfn.org/...10716-tomasz86/ or visit his website www.windows2000.tk in chance of finding some info. Cheers
  16. Ok, time to go down Trip's path. Grab a camera/ cell phone, restart to BIOS and take screenshots of anything you think is relevant and post them here (or even better, upload them somewhere like dropbox and post the links).
  17. Who needs CCC? What is important is that you have installed drivers and your GPU is functioning correctly. So, go ahead and remove that cr*p from Add/Remove Programs; I think it won't mess with drivers if you just choose CCC. Cheers More: it just occurred to me: does this error message occur when the ATI 7670m card is active? CCC is set to autostart on boot, so using the Intel card will throw this error, as "the currently used GPU is not supported".
  18. An added bonus: the last link that I provided DOES include WDM drivers! It's only a matter if they fit. Cheers
  19. Welcome to MSFN. SATA drivers should be integrated in textmode (TXT), i.e. only the one you need. If properly integrated, they should be on the CD in i386\NLDRV\ compressed inside a folder with numbers, e.g. 001. My recommendation is to always integrate SATA drivers first. Also, make sure SATA/AHCI is enabled in the BIOS settings. BTW, which drivers are we talking about? Did you see http://www.msfn.org/...d-raid-drivers/ http://www.msfn.org/...d-ahci-drivers/ http://www.msfn.org/...ivers-on-an-xp/ Cheers
  20. http://www2.ati.com/...xp32_dd_ccc.exe This must be the one; if not, you have other issues not related to the right driver. Cheers EDIT: The Catalyst Manager and Control Center require .NET Framework 2.0. Try unpacking the file and installing through Device Manager (Update driver) by pointing to the folder with the .inf file. The path (out of memory) is ...\$_OUTDIR\Packages\Drivers\Display\XP_INF\ Next to the .inf file there should also be an .msi file and a .cat file (both with the same name as the .inf file), as well as a folder containing the driver files.
  21. I don't see why not. Or even better, upload it to some external site (like mediafire or any other), and post the link here. Cheers
  22. If you do some searching, you will find that using a standalone installer will install Chrome, but you will lose the ability of automatic update, meaning you will have to download and manually install every new version. If you don't have a problem with that, then by all means, proceed. Cheers
  23. For me, it helps (in most problems with WU on XP and 7) if I delete the contents of C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\ (especially DataStore.edb) and C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ and then restart wuauclt.exe. @Tripedacus - Thank you on a very useful link.
  24. According to Intel from a link inside http://www.overclock...-hdd-partitions May I just say WOW!
  25. I am familiar as it was discussed, namely here See post #2 on how I used to do it, with good results (a bit off-topic here). wmfdist11.exe integrates normally into nLite. Cheers
