  1. Find the option to share a folder with/in VirtualPC from your live system and copy the .iso from VirtualPC to your live system. Cheers
  2. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/132217-request-cabtool-18/ I hope the link works... Install it, then right-click the folder, open Send to -> CabTool Cheers
  3. There have been posts on how to make an Office 2003 add-on, but I personally haven't tried them. One of the reasons is that you will end up with quite a large add-on, which has to be unpacked, and then installed, which takes a lot of time (if not during Windows install, then during nLite disk creation). I have always done through RunOnce by making Office unattended with the ORK http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5981 The Office Integrator is good, and you can also try the Office Shrinker. Cheers
  4. It's called UAC (User Account Control) http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/147054-disabling-uac-same-as-uac-on-lowest-security-level/ http://www.petri.co.il/disable-uac-in-windows-7.htm The easiest http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off

  6. In one of the older installers, I believe it was v.9.x, there was some info in an .ini file about the order in which you can/should install the .msi files to get it working. If that is still the case, than you can install it with silent switches from a simple batch file. Can you tell me which version you are trying to install? EDIT: The Catalyst center should be installed, if not the drivers.Cheers
  7. Have you tried running it through the USSF (Universal Silent Switch Finder)? I know the version is old, but it just might turn up something. I'd also try starting the package from Command prompt with /? , -h , or -help switches to see if it displays a list of available switches itself. Cheers
  8. If you've used Windows Update, go to WINDOWS\Software Distribution\Download and delete everything inside. That should free up some space. If you're going with nLite and creating a new CD, then all of the above given advices are really useful. Cheers
  9. Welcome to MSFN. It is a known approach (see post #9 on page 1), I've done it too and I'm happy to know it worked for you. It would be nice if you could upload the .reg file, as copying from the forum post sometimes messes with the lines and spaces. I also see additional options in this code that can be discussed. Edit: this http://www.askvg.com/how-to-change-sata-hard-disk-mode-from-ide-to-ahci-raid-in-bios-after-installing-windows/ is the general principle Cheers

  11. 1. Yes. 2. Yes; you can also mount the ISO as a virtual CD/DVD and not burn it. Look at Daemon Tools and many others similar to it. 3. The correct way? Follow the order in vLite. AFAIK, you can't add a SP to Vista in vLite, so get a SP2 DVD. Cheers
  12. Yes. In the meantime, I had a few minutes to try it and it worked just as I had expected. Thanks again.
  13. Thanks. I myself don't mind doing it this way. Just a quick confirmation - will it work if I modify the download URL to get Flash Player for other versions?
  14. Why not install those packages manually? BTW, does it say which version of Visual Basic C++ Redistributable Package it needs? There are versions 8, 9, and 10. In the end, why not install them all, but one at a time with launching the CD in between and seeing if it makes a difference? Thost redistributables are needed anyway, as a lot of applications are programmed that way.
  15. Could you provide a link to the driver or take a screenshot of its extracted contents? Cheers
  16. Look at this image guide http://xdot.tk/nliteimages.html At the screen on pic #4, enable Hotfixes add-ons and update packs. Then, at the screen on pic #6, add the .NET add-on by clicking Insert or do a simple drag-n-drop. That's it. Cheers
  17. Without looking at the second attempt, why don't you integrate the required .NET package into the XP install? Check the RyanVM forums for True Add-ons of .NET versions. I'm glad you got everything else solved. Examples: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8317&highlight=net http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8516&highlight=net http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7696&highlight=net http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7186&highlight=net Cheers
  18. Please attach Last Session.ini, not Last Session_u.ini. The latter is rarely relevant to problems. Cheers
  19. This is the Realtek Audio driver. Re-install.Please look at the top of the page
