I have a Sony like this one HERE and at first connection to a PC, it is recognized as MTP. What I do, since it has USB, is manually change the driver in Device Manager to the stock USB Mass Storage Device and I never have problems transferring data. USB charging is also available regardless of the change of driver. Just a tip you might find useful. Cheers

Some more information would be nice, for e.g. do you need to input any IP address, subnet mask, Default Gateway, DNS... or you get them automatically? Did you check your modem/router? type ipconfig/all into Command Prompt and check the configuration. Check if Services such as DHCP Client and DNS Client are stopped. If yes, set them to Automatic. Can you post the Hardware IDs? You can find them by double-clicking the Unknown, selecting the Details tab, and choosing Hardware IDs from the drop-down menu. The first (and the second maybe) will do fine. Cheers

According to this http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/opti_755_techspecs.pdf , all 4 versions use Intel® Q35 Express Chipset (ICH9DO), so it's probably one of the last two. It's probably the last, but I can't say it for sure. You might want to wait around for another answer. Cheers

How to edit registry so that it doesn't need to restart before ins
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Gibbs's topic in Windows XP
It occurred to me that no one asked to look at your Last Session.ini file. So, open c:\Program Files\nLite\Presets and upload here your Last Session.ini file (NOT Last Session_u.ini), which might help us diagnose your problems. Cheers -
Unfortunately, you will need to start from scratch: new source (copy of XP) on your PC and more work with nLite. However, the good thing is you can use the presets which nLite loads from the previous session. Something is not right here. One folder is enough; why three? It's like Fernando says: when you get to the stage where you integrate drivers, click to select a Single Driver. A popup window appears; select Textmode (TXT) and point to your AHCI driver. When presented with several options, select "Intel® 5 Series/3400 Series SATA AHCI Controller" and click OK. Cheers

The problem is that I'm 90% sure that you are using a source that was downloaded off some website and may contain who knows what, i.e. it's been previously modified (which is a recipe for disaster). BTW, "eth0", apart from being related to networking (in LINUX), has nothing to do with Windows XP, and a google search points out to activation circumvention and illegal software. To be honest, i'm a bit surprised how nobody spotted that. Explain yourself Sir, or count me out for help.

What is this "eth0" folder you have on your CD?

Sudden shutdown when playing video or Youtube
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Sp0iLedBrAt's topic in Windows 7
I hope so too, although for the past 2 days it's been sitting on the cooling fan surface, namely this http://www.targus.co...aptop+Chill+Mat (not plugged in), and still there were two shutdowns. I'll see what I can do about it. Thanks -
Sudden shutdown when playing video or Youtube
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Sp0iLedBrAt's topic in Windows 7
A quick update: I found this site http://superuser.com...code-0x00000124 and I found Andre in it; there was also a sub-link http://www.sevenforu...stop-0x124.html where cluberti lead the discussion. They both describe my problem in details, both with the CPU and the laptop make, HP. Anyway, I reduced Maximum processor state to 90% (as proposed in the first link) and I'll see what happens. Meanwhile, I'm open to any other suggestion anyone might have. Cheers and thanks -

Sudden shutdown when playing video or Youtube
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Sp0iLedBrAt's topic in Windows 7
Sorry for not replying promptly. I ran Prime95 on the most stressful settings; the CPU got to 94 degrees and it stayed there for a while. Then I plugged in the external cooling and got it down to 88 degrees. It stayed like that for almost an hour. Below is a screenshot in comparison with CPUID Hardware Monitor. Meanwhile, there was another shutdown and the same error, but a different arg2 value. I'm also attaching the !errrec log. three.txt Cheers -
Sudden shutdown when playing video or Youtube
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Sp0iLedBrAt's topic in Windows 7
The CPU is AMD Turion x2 2.2GHz RM-74 64-bit. It has not been overclocked, and the temperature is around 52-55 Celsius. I recently had it cleaned and the guys at the repair shop rewired the fan to be always on (the laptop has an EFI BIOS and there is such an option, but they didn't use that). Can this be the culprit? If so, they have a piece of my mind coming their way Cheers and thanks -
Sudden shutdown when playing video or Youtube
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Sp0iLedBrAt's topic in Windows 7
@GrofLuigi I've tried Firefox and Chrome Portable; Hardware Acceleration is enabled in Flash. As a player I mostly use MPC - Home Cinema, but no hardware acceleration (DXVA or similar). No overclocking done. @MagicAndre1981 The last two dumps had different values for arg2, so I did !errrec for both. The results are in the two text files attached here. @Tripedacus Thank you, I will try that and also SpeedFan for CPU/HDD temperatures. Cheers and thank you. second !errrec.txt first !errrec.txt Edit: I'm afraid OCCT will not work because -
Sudden shutdown when playing video or Youtube
Sp0iLedBrAt replied to Sp0iLedBrAt's topic in Windows 7
second DMP.txt That surprised me as well; the CPU fan/sink was recently cleaned thoroughly and the fan is always on. On the heaviest load it goes up to 70 degrees celsius (shutdown happens at 100 according to factory specification). Thanks Jaclaz for your input. -
It's like the title says, the laptop just randomly shuts down after a few videos on Youtube or a 20-30 min. of video played. I debugged the .dmp files and they are identical. It looks like processor trouble, so I was hoping for some advice. The log of the debugging is attached below in case anyone wants to drop a look. Thank you for any advice you might be able to provide. Debugged DMP.txt

Just curious: did you modify the existing TRANSFORM.MST file (with Notepad, for e.g.) or create a new one? My experience with modifying an earlier created file has not been so good, even for a simple task as changing the product key. Cheers
