  1. ahcix86.inf, ahcix86.cat, ahcix86.sys, txtsetup.oem, ahcix86. These are the names of the files (drivers) that you need in order to install AMD AHCI on Windows XP. (look at post #234 and check the contents of the package). Unfortunately, I don't see ahcix86.inf in your Last Session.ini; I see amdhub30.inf and amdxhc.inf which are (if I'm not mistaken) USB 3.0 drivers, so that's probably the reason for failing. So, download the package a few posts up, unpack it and integrate it into nLite (in textmode). That should do the trick. And yes, change the BIOS settings to AHCI. Cheers
  2. Please post your winsetupfromusb log. When your setup screen shows up, do you have options such as First and Second part of setup? Cheers
  3. The latest version I could find (April 2012) MD5: 26943569e1e3794d2e5ba0c504cfbb15 Size: 337KB Links in my signature. Cheers
  4. Added new link to all add-ons in my signature

  5. You, Sir, have a way with words! Using XP since 2003.
  6. Users, passwords and logons are stored in the Last Session_u.ini file, but if you are posting it, please remove/replace the actual passwords and the product key. As far as I can see, you are working with nLite on Windows 7, which can cause problems. If nothing else works, you can install XP on a virtual machine and work with nLite there. You can easily export the resulting ISO from there. Cheers
  7. Panda USB Vaccine updated to 1.0.1.16 http://www.mediafire...CINE_1.0.1.6.7z https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vcu9qfub8m8upib/wy09GvGkgi Size: 825KB MD5: c11aa1bd44173c150cea8d26185a96b4
  8. Reporting back: so far this http://kosiara87.blogspot.com/2011/01/virtualbox-40-installing-windows-xp.html is the only thing that has worked so far. Interestingly enough Fernando, it is the same 7.8.0.1012 driver you primarily modified. Cheers
  9. Back to your post 1099 on page 37; I downloaded the 32-bit driver for VirtualBox, set the chipset to ICH9, chose a SATA controller and an AHCI disk and integrated the ICH9 SATA/AHCI driver (modified by you ) with nLite (textmode, of course). Setup fails with the notorious 0x7B BSOD. Is there something I'm missing here? Edit: tried before with a floppy image as well, but the ICH9 (no M/R) driver was not shown Last Session.ini Cheers
  10. Have you tried NirCmd? http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html Cheers
  11. As you probably know, .NET Framework 4.5 was released as a replacement to .NET Framework 4.0, but with no support for XP. List of changes: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms171868.aspx System requirements: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/8z6watww.aspx Bootstraper and Standalone download link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/5a4x27ek.aspx OR Direct download link for the Standalone installer: http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/a/4/ba4a7e71-2906-4b2d-a0e1-80cf16844f5f/dotnetfx45_full_x86_x64.exe Cheers
  12. It's there when you choose Custom Install for the first time. If you've already installed it, use Add/Remove Programs to modify the installation and change from "Installed on first use" to "This feature will be available on the hard drive". Then it's a matter of adding the icon to any of the toolbars through Customize -> Commands. Cheers
  13. I have to go along with jaclaz on this one and confirm that httpdisk (ever since I discovered it on reboot.pro) works well on 32-bit versions of XP and Win7 both for the Vista and Win7 AIK. As long as you fix the registry with the given file (as explained), use SC from a Command Prompt window and don't forget the /umount parameter so you don't get another busy error, you'll be up and running in no time. Another good idea would be not to copy/paste the command line in Command Prompt, but rather type it; it will save you some nerves. Cheers

  16. What about in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
  17. Did you install it on a virtual machine to see if registry entries are written for these updates?
  18. A small misunderstanding, most of it on my part for not expressing myself clearly; when I said there was an error, I meant that it wasn't working. So, I opened the batch file, turned ECHO on and used sleep.exe it to see what was going on; the -m switch in combination with LZX wasn't working. It unpacked the update, jumped through this critical step and went to cleaning up. Then I found the reference to cabarc.exe on Technet and it said it supported the other two additional arguments to -m I mentioned in my previous post. This is the reason I suggested them. I hope all is clear now. Cheers

  20. There seems to be an error in the cabarc -p -m command. Apparently, if you use -m, you additionally have to specify MSZIP or NONE. I changed LZX:21 to NONE and now it's fine. So, the command now is cabarc -p -m NONE N ....... Cheers
