  1. There is a new version of WAIK 7 http://www.microsoft...11-39c26d3b3b34
  2. Audio is Realtek, http://www.realtek.c...3&GetDown=false network (ethernet) is Intel Gigabit, http://www.intel.com...b/cs-006120.htm the last is a modem. http://www.netbump.c...&devID=dev_2f20 (I normally do NOT link to external pages, but I checked the downloads and they are from the Dell website), so choose your OS and get the appropriate one. Hope that helps
  3. Double-click any of the yellow-marked items and open the Details tab. Write down the Hardware IDs (e.g. for my Realtek network card it's VEN_10EC&DEV_8139) and post them here. It is very doable to find appropriate drivers with these IDs. That's not the one you need, it's the Ethernet component that you are missing, so start with that ID first.
  4. CuteWriter seems to be packed with INNO, so the switches are /VERYSILENT /SP- (you can also include /NORESTART). I hope you're aware it also installs the Ask toolbar. Cheers
  5. There's something here about the use of winnt.sif http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314459 , but you could have found this on google yourself Welcome to MSFN and please do not double-post http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/147215-nlite-keep-asking-for-disk-partition-for-win2k3-iso-image/page__pid__943754#entry943754 This is the nLite forum, so you are in the right place
  6. It really could be anything; for example, I always get that from my anti-virus (Avira Personal) that has a "Scan on Access" function, meaning it won't let you click/run anything without checking it first.
  7. Can we see your final Last Session.ini? It can be found in the root of your CD. Boot time can be affected by start-up processes or your antivirus. Please provide more info on the "hanging" part.
  8. Yes, you can, and with a very high success rate. And I'm thinking it's not a 078, but a 07B error message, which points exactly to the lack of / problem of SATA drivers. Cheers
  9. If you use neo's method from post #2, the .reg file will merge and there will be no need to delete it, since in will not copy to hard disk; it will be executed from the XP CD. Now, if you WANT it copied to HDD and then deleted, that's a different thing. But the above mentioned is much more simple. I suppose the command to add to nLite would be something like regedit /s %source%$OEM$\regfile.reg Cheers
  10. Updated to version 0.7.36 for 32-bit versions
  11. Here's one: I think you should create a poll and see how many of the users out there actually use those hotfixes. My opinion is that most of the people that use SNMSynth here are just end-users like me (and I have no idea what those specific hotfixes are for, in spite of the elaborate explanations), that use .NET just for application compatibility. I was going to ask if request-specific hotfixes were superseded by any normally released hotfix, and then I found this on page 1: I tried one of them once (can't remember which one), and it integrated successfully; at this point many of those could very well be replaced by regular updates.Cheers
  12. As far as I know, the dotnetfx35.exe full redistributable package (231MB) already contains .NET 2.0SP2, as well as .NET 3.0 and .NET 3.5SP1. http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/0/f/60fc5854-3cb8-4892-b6db-bd4f42510f28/dotnetfx35.exe
  13. Yes, maybe we can help you, but you have to share more info, like which software we are talking about and what principle of activation it has (serial number, .reg file, .lic file...). There are several methods and we could recommend one based on your information. Cheers
  14. Thanks for the heads up regarding WU's sensitivity about Netfx30a_x86.msi as it stands now Let me make myself clear as much as I can. Netfx30a_x86.msi was required by the .NET 3.0 .msp files which don't install correctly through SNMSynth, and they are the same ones that have to be extracted and repacked with IExpress. Those didn't install properly (even when repacked) with SNMSynth, so I started them manually and discovered this interesting fact, i.e. their dependency with the unmodified Netfx30a_x86.msi. As a consequent result, they won't install from Windows Update either. Hope that helps.
  15. Where exactly is the command and everything else you are talking about? If it's in some other topic, why not continue posting there? Cheers
  16. Bear with me for a while: I recently completely uninstalled a normally installed .NET 3.5 SP1 (including .NET 2.0 SP2 and 3.0) package and installed a modified package (SNMSynth) with included hotfixes (including those made with IExpress using the above mentioned method). Windows Update showed I missed a few packages, so I extracted the .msp files from those hotfixes and tried manually. The first one asked for Netfx30a_x86.msi (would not work with the modified one from SNMSynth, but it did work with the original one from dotnetfx35.exe). In the end, I extracted the files from the other .msp files, renamed them and replaced them manually. This also did the trick. Conclusion (although it took me a while to get there): Windows Update checks the file version and reports what you need. BTW, I used the QFE (not the GDR) files wherever possible.
  17. Isn't this how Windows Update basically works? In absence of actual documentation, all we CAN do is presume the every superseeding hotfix already contains the code included in the previous versions, as well as some repairs done to it. Of course, this will only work if every following version contains the exact files that were in the previous ones. That's what I do. bphlpt, I read your PM; hope this helps. Cheers
  18. It's one of the sticky topics in the nLite forum "What not to remove for some programs" . A specific search could reveal something there. Cheers
  19. 1. It would be much easier if you attached Last Session.ini 2. No, not really, but you could take a look at this http://www.msfn.org/...-some-programs/ Cheers Edit: Please do not double-post
  20. If you need someone to test, PM me. Cheers
  21. skybox, why don't you give a try to Fernando1's modded Intel drivers? They are are the same thing, with a few lines erased (for booting from floppy) to increase success rates. Cheers
  22. More than enough for you NOT to get help! This forum does not deal with or support WAREZ!
  23. See this nLite picture guide from the same website http://win-x.co.cc/nliteimages.html You can find Movie Maker in the Components section (pic #12 in the guide), but I'm not sure exactly where (try Multimedia, so that I don't have to fire up nLite and get the exact place where they can be found). Games are found under Components->Applications, but you can't just remove Internet games; it will all have to go. I'm pretty sure Windows Messenger is there as well, just browse carefully through the categories in Components. You know what this means - you'll have to do everything all over again. This time use the Last Session.ini you are satisfied with and add a few more things, like the updates. Cheers
  24. Yes. It's safe to remove, I always do it. It won't even show on Windows Update for updates. There are lists on this forum (Windows Updates Downloader) that will download all the updates/hotfixes; if you want the high-priority updates, go here http://win-x.co.cc/updates.htmlCheers
  25. You should only do one thing: stop creating an all-purpose CD and integrate only ONE SATA driver, namely the one your motherboard needs. As long as you add more than one SATA driver, you will get these errors. Cheers
