  1. Welcome to MSFN. See here and here Cheers
  2. After you compile the .au3 script, you get an .exe file. Point that .exe file to sfxmaker without any switches. Sfxmaker will do the rest. Cheers
  3. The newer versions of Inno Setup (including 5.4.0) are not supported. There is the usual error Cheers
  4. The only problem is that strel hasn't shown up in a while, so the application hasn't been updated. There are a few members that would be prepared to pick up where he left, but that's another thing.
  5. Update.inf obviously states this was meant for XP , and I'm afraid modifying it would break the digital signature. So, it really doesn't work integrating it into nLite? Have you tried installing it through RunOnce with /quiet /norestart switches, or anything else apart from manually replacing the files?
  6. Look at my post #4 Nowadays it comes as a separate installer, and you, like all of us, will have to wait until the updated one is released. Cheers
  7. Welcome to MSFN. Take a look at the sticky topics in this forum http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/157-install-windows-from-usb/ You'll find everything you need there Cheers
  8. Congrats. May she live long and prosperous
  9. Yes, you do need to compress it. The procedure is pretty much the same cd c:\ makecab c:\svcpack.inf c:\svcpack.in_ Cheers
  10. Well, if "your browser" is a "Mozilla Firefox", open the program folder/Plugins and try removing QuickTimePlugin.class, npqtplugin.dll, npqtplugin1.dll etc. (total of 7 files). As far as I know, the latest version of Quick Time Alternative Lite is 4.0.0. It used to come inside K-Lite a long time ago. Cheers
  11. Did you find SVCPACK.in_ ? It is the compressed file. To expand it, copy it in C:\ and then run this command from Command Prompt cd c:\ expand c:\svcpack.in_ c:\svcpack.inf Edit: A few things: If you integrated a Service Pack in XP, it is not recommendable to run nLite under Vista or Windows 7; C:\Nlite\XPUpdates\rootsupd.exe C:\Nlite\XPUpdates\IE8-WindowsXP-KB976662-x86-ENU.exe C:\Nlite\XPUpdates\IE8-WindowsXP-KB981332-x86-ENU.exe these three do not integrate with nLite normally. Cheers
  12. Gee... and I thought these things don't happen to me This is the latest thing; although I am logged in, it shows an error saying I am not. Cheers
  13. Any strange errors in Event Viewer? Does the CPU spike for any programs? Is there an unusual RAM usage by any of the processes?
  14. Most of the errors in Event Viewer are actually harmless, at least that's what I've read in posts here and over at RyanVM's forums. Just in case, could you post an example of the errors? A question: why do you have .NET 1.1 SP1 updates in your folder if you are choosing not to process it? Cheers
  15. Welcome to MSFN. Take a moment to scroll to the top of this page and see the notice in big, red letters that says you should attach the file Last Session.ini. You can find it in the folder with the XP source or in C:\Program Files\nLite\Presets Do not attach Last Session_u.ini Cheers
  16. Can you capture the error the BSOD gives?
  17. $OEM$ is a folder that is created by the user or some programs for unattended installs of operative systems. It has its own folder structure that can be read and executed by Windows Setup. For reference, see the pic at the bottom of this page http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/59/ . For more reference, just Google it Cheers
  18. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free updated to v.1.75 Download link HERE or HERE MD5: D3CC4BA30B43A90654614C71279F8BF4 SHA1: E29CA40E9D746C23267799177F6D05D0C85BC8E2 Size: 9.91MB Cheers
  19. This is what you do now: Open nLite and from the Task selection (visible in pic #5 in the same pic guide) choose only Bootable ISO. Create it anywhere you want, as long as there is enough free space. Cheers
  20. cluberti, sorry to rain on your parade again, but your link is broken. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=147682 , the link I got off jaclaz's link converter also points to the same Board Message and Error [#10342] We could not determine which forum this topic is in. Cheers
  21. Welcome to MSFN. 1. To create an ISO, see pic #39 in this picture guide http://win-x.co.cc/nliteimages.html; you have to click Make ISO before you click Next to finish with nLite. 2. I'm afraid you'll have to slipstream the SATA drivers suitable for your PC. The good thing is you won't have to press F6; you just have to integrate it through the Drivers section in nLite in TXT mode. Cheers
  22. This is what shows up on google.
  23. I wouldn't really say "problems", but I can think of: 1. The download size would increase; 2. The browser manufacturer would have to sign redistributable agreements with Adobe/Oracle etc., which may mean they would have to pay to include the plug-ins in the browsers, hence be forced to use toolbars to make those revenues. 3. It's really up to the user for these kinds of plug-ins. E.g. I choose to use Firefox, but have never installed or used Java. Cheers
  24. it needs to be the i386 folder of the Windows source folder. After you've extracted SP3, use the Command Prompt with C:\sp3\i386\update.exe /integrate:c:\XPCopy if C:\sp3 is the folder with the extracted service pack, and C:\XPCopy the folder with the windows source. This is (I believe it was mentioned earlier) the same command nLite uses to add SP3. The principle is the same for the updates. Cheers
