  1. IRQ noise, let´s call it like that. I think you have it too with some games?
  2. Source Sales sh*t dude, don´t beleve everthing they say .
  3. As far as I know: Yes. Google a bit and you will find more stuff on the XBox 360; how to hack it and use PC hardware on it .
  4. Set your router in "stealth" mode so it doesn’t reply to pings from WAN. Also the router could get overheated, check if that is the case. I hope it helps for you .
  5. Where do you buy your things . Upgrade to a S754 Sempron64 would be indeed a good option, you get SSE2/SSE3 and 64bit compatibility. only we are talking about let’s say 150 bucks plus a power supply if it has no PIV 12v connector. Or, just take the Gigabyte 7N400s/l and tweak the s*** out of that S462 CPU . p.s. AOpen S462 suc* by the way…
  6. Wrong forum buddy . Question, why use 2 routers? Take the best one and drop the other one. Why would you use 2 firewalls and 2 DHCP servers? 2 Firewalls are okay if it’s before and after a server but that’s another story .
  7. I would change it every 8*365=2920 hours because indeed it dries out a bit, just check your temps each 2 months or so .
  8. I saw this when timing of RAM and video card are not set well, like it’s waiting for an interrupt... I only had it with games when I tweaked too much but who knows it will help you a bit. Just set the timing manual and see what happens.
  9. Or the paste between CU and cooler is not what it used to be? Check that too . What did you check already?
  10. The Gigabyte is better then the Epox. SATA would be nice if you upgrade with an other HDD later. How much does your friend ask for it?
  11. Some motherboards have the Creative Soundblaster 7.1 24bit onboard now. I must say that the new realtek sound chips are not that bad too. X-Fi in all cases is better exept the price .
  12. I think because it local. In the states they throw more with those kind of things. Also prices change too much in the computer retail market .
  13. Then mount one on it, they forgot it I think . (HAD to do it )
  14. It would have been better if you ran some game benchmarks and not just 3Dmark2006, Rendering programs, superPI and other stuff. Well, that´s for next time . I already liked what you did any way .
  15. Artic silver was the first one that was so popular for tweakers back in 2000/2001, lost some reputation because of AMD CPUs that short-circuited when applying to much compound and it got to the resistors on top. It’s NO stuff for beginners and I would use ARCTIC COOLING MX-1 Thermal Compound to start with. To slice up a heat sink will get you this, these little cooling blocks come with a pad; just clean your chips from grease and stick the little blocks on the RAM. To make a long story short: Get this, I know it’s 30 bucks but it’s worth it, even has the RAM sinks and paste (that works good enough!) with it .
  16. Indeed DL., this is why I use just DVD-R discs; they are cheap and faster then DVD-RAM. Just backing up the server from time to time on DVD-R. Just a question: How long can you keep a DVD-RAM without data-loss? (dark place, temperature 15oC)
  17. Also this information about the socket (A)M2 CPU prices is interesting. Any one has some information about the motherboards? DDR2 RAM is already in the same price range as DDR RAM.
  18. Compusa I know when I was ones in Texas, McAllen. Indeed, Fry´s has almost the same prices as Compusa. Also they have the 7600GT for 250 US$, not like newegg for 190 US$ or so but still fine. They don´t have good hardware here in Mexico, or it´s almost double the price Thanx 03GrandAmGT
  19. Twice as fast as my Sempron64 E6 2600+@2.4GHz with CAS2.5 RAM (400MHz), when it runs at 2600MHz is gets to 39 secs. With a Athlon64 E6 3.4GHz it could get the same score (21.45 sec.) . They tweaked that CPU with 3volts for just a 0.65nm 2500+@2385MHz Just does a little more then 40 secs. P4 540 3.2@3440MHz Does 40 secs too, **** the 5xx are slow per MHz with this...
  20. Newegg, yes, okay... but they ONLY send to US and Canada , other then that it´s a good place when you live in those countries .
  21. First tell us what drive you use so we can help you a bit better
  22. 16MB Cache is okay, not that you will notice much between 8 and 16MB but if it´s the same price I would go for the 16 . But DO NOT buy Maxtor drives, they return to RMA 6 times as much as a Seagate or WD (Samsung I don’t know). Play safe and stay away from Maxtor please.
  23. Indeed, it was Pioneer (DVD-R) vs Sony (DVD+R)... Just for royalties of rights (Although Philips always has them)...
  24. For all the ones who thought that 754 was outdated, here I have some thing to read for you. Just a quote: I love S754, always defended it
  25. Do you have a webshop where you buy things and do you have a link? I would just look at the prices b/c all 3 are okay.
