@ vegettoxp Yes, Viewsonic makes good TFT screens these days. Ripken gave you some screens but the were not wide screen, this one is. Do you really need that HDTV ready feature? I saw external boxes that can be a TV tuner and a HDTV converter for a screen with DVI. If I have time I will take a look if I can find the links again.

I would think that with a BIOS flash it would have been reset too, but I know that some flash programs don’t write new code when it’s not necessary. Also the "reset BIOS" function should have reset the BIOS, hidden or not hidden settings; Looks more like a bug from ABIT.

Am I missing something? There are cables from mini-jack 3.5mm to RCA. Any electronics shop will sell it to you and they are cheap .

Flash the BIOS and see if that helps. What happens if you rip out your PCi cards? Still you see it?

Or rip out the video card and look on the main chip, and if it has a cooler on it you could remove it or check the text on the PCB (Print). If the drivers are not installed (well) then programs can´t detect it most of the time .

@ Superlevel, Ow, I saw something more, don’t get a combo drive and get directly a DVD-RW. Combo drives s*ck big-time. If you want to lower the price a bit you could get a 2800+ (1600MHz, 256+128kB cache) or a 2600+ (1600MHz, 128+128kB cache). When you get the ASRock with the 6100 chipset I would buy a DIMM with tight timings as well, it will improve onboard video performance. Are you going to tweak it a bit?

Yup, like ScubaSteve says, get a motherboard like that for example, it also has PCI-E and the onboard sound isn´t that bad.

I don´t know, depends on a lot of factors but for 600GB I think like 6 hours or so. Any one else tried it with some normal SATA drives in RAID5?

This is why I let the computer detect the drives always, same problems now as back in days of the 486 .
