    FTP

So I could use QuicknEasyFTPServer to allow people to download directly from me?

    FTP

How do I set up an FTP so I can host files on my own PC and people can download directly from me when I give them the link to a file on my HD? Any info would be appreciated. Cheers, Jeremy
  3. Norton requires too much HD space, takes up way too much resources and installed like 10 Services! Bloat.
  4. Do you have all the necessary Services Started and set to Automatic? Workstation Server Computer Browser
  5. Use Kaspersky.
  6. I use JV16 PowerTools' Reg Cleaner. I don't backup anything and never have problems after reboot. That's just me, though. JV16 PowerTools is preparing for a new release with several new features. I hope one of these is the registry defragmenter that I e-mailed them and requested. After that I think JV16 will be the ultimate reg program. Cheers, Jeremy
  7. Ok, so for Windows updates, we have: Daisy Slavlik BigFix I wouldn't use XPLite as my loyalties remain (and always shall) with nLite. Installing an nLited OS and not having any trace of IE is great. But of course it isn't yet able to fully disintegrate IE from XP. I don't know if this will ever be done, but still hoping!
  8. Well, if the registry entry saves filesize and is more efficient, despite not knowing exactly what you're talking about, I'll vote for the reg entry.
  9. User PMed due to such prejudice and low-level comment.
  10. I'm just curious. Me and my friends have our own little group here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We take it seriously when we do it. We come up with our own storylines and match types that we do wherever we can. Sometimes we get a few people watching. We've never held a public event. I have a little blog I made for it that I would like to make an FTP for since I record all our stuff and make videos. Anyways, cast your votes. PS: How do I edit the poll options?
  11. Taking the audio from a video? One of the easiest things to do with a PC and the right programs. Use VirtualDub (File > Extract WAV) if its an AVI, and TMPGEnc (File > Export > WAV) if its an MPEG.
  12. Well, I have a 19'' and I always use 1280X1024. it's what I am used to. Sheesh, anymore than that and I think my desktop icons would be too small and watching a 640X480 WMV video in full screen would make it look preeeetty bad.
  13. My parents. Didn't bother me a bit. Was happy for my Mom. She's with a better guy now. They never fight. As for my Dad. If we met nowadays, someone much stronger than me would have to stand between us. End of story. As for marriage. I never wanted to either until I met my gf who I've been with now for 17 months.
  14. 2 and a half days. I was on a p2p proggie and chatting to some people on it. One minute I was telling someone my age, and the next minute I was walking through a forest. Something invisible hit me in the face. I woke up and I was face first (with my glasses on) on my keyboard. At that point I figured it was time to go to bed. Woke up the next day at 3 PM to my friend on my PC listening to music and chatting to people. LMFAO.
  15. I don't like my LCD (Thanks Dell). As for the poll option: "Disk" space??? DESK. LCD = fadey image when you're not aligning your head with a protractor from each corner and dividing by 2 to find the center. (I've been studying for my Math exam all day). I'd like a 19" CRT flat screen monitor.
  16. an XP Home SP2 might slow down a bit, I dunno. All I do know is: XP Home SP2 nLited sure isn't slow.
  17. Well said. I voted for "We really need to talk". We need to make him more apparent to security.
  18. Nowhere. Null Vote.
  19. Don't have one.
  20. The women stand for a lot, especially excessive breast fondling. Some like it, others don't. I love my gf very much. We'll get married someday. *Gets a hug from his sweetie*
  21. I'm just a hobbiest.
  22. Don't have one. I dispise M$.
  23. No. This reminds me of that commercial for those new retarded Oral-B Brush-Ups for your teeth. Imagine having someone come to drop something off and you fix them a quick coffee for their troubles and they're standing there with their finger going back and forth in their mouth...I mean C'MON. There are certain things that need to be kept behind the bathroom door.
  24. Problems with nLite are caused by the following: 1. Your own stupidity/absentmindedness. 2. A bug in nLite that will eventually be fixed. I LOVE nLite. I won't name my kid after it but I think it is a godsend...but uploaded by a determined man. To have the freedom of choice for which components you want and don't...to be able to decrease the memory footprint and HD space so much and in turn, customizing and enhancing security, speed and performance so much... EXCELLENT AWESOME Etc. Worth every dollar donated to Nuhi for all his hard work. I am loyal to nLite and all it's future versions! Cheers, Jeremy
  25. How biased. I don't watch sports. Null Vote.
